What’s the best ‘Mob Psycho 100’ watch order?

Look no further, the answer is right here.

Mob Psycho 100 is truly one of a kind. Granted it is a shonen, but this story’s supernatural elements, unique comedy style, and beautiful animation to boot, make it one of the best anime I’ve watched in a hot minute. It is an underrated Shonen gem, if I do say so myself.

Following Shigeo Kageyama, a bland-looking middle schooler with amazing psychic powers, this anime series has reached immense popularity over the years, capturing the hearts of viewers and critics alike. In fact, Mob Psycho 100 has garnered several awards for its action sequences and animation, often being listed as one of the best anime releases in recent years, both in accolades, and in our hearts.

With Mob Psycho 100 completed at long last, fans might want to rewatch the series because we all need a little Reigen in our lives for a gust of happiness. Or if you haven’t watched Mob Psycho 100, you might want to do it for the first time. Regardless of your situation, you’ve come to the right place. Here is the best Mob Psycho 100 watch order.

Mob Psycho 100 watch order

  1. Mob Psycho 100: Season 1
  2. Mob Psycho Mini
  3. Mob Psycho 100 Reigen – The Miraculous Unknown Psychic
    1. Note: Despite this OVA being mostly a recap of season one, the events are portrayed through Arataka Reigen’s eyes, including new scenes focused on the character.
  4. Mob Psycho 100: Season 2
  5. Mob Psycho 100: The Spirits and Such Consultation Office’s First Company Outing
  6. Mob Psycho 100: Season 3

Despite the aforementioned order, several fans and netizens have pointed out that it’s unnecessary to watch the OVAs — and I’ll have to agree, not because I dislike the OVAs, but because they’re not entirely needed to the story. If you’re a die-hard Mob Psycho fan, it is understandable that you’d wish to have more content, but ultimately, these stories aren’t part of the chronological events in the manga. That said, the OVAs are still directed by Studio Bones, making them semi-canon, if you will.

Considering we won’t be having any more Mob Psycho 100 content any time soon, I’d go through the trouble of tracking down the OVAs just to get some more sweet time with Reigen. But if you choose to skip them, I won’t hold it against you — after all, you still have three seasons to watch on Crunchyroll.
