Bryan Cranston’s last bow as Walter White is the perfect way to start his big bad break into the DCU

It would be the debut we've all been waiting for.

For nearly 15 years now, DCU.

Earlier this week, Variety officially reported that both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul — who portray Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, respectively — will be appearing in a PopCorners’ commercial during the Super Bowl LVII this Sunday. And, according to Cranston himself, this venture will likely be his final time playing the iconic character — which is the quickest way to break most of our hearts.

And yet, Cranston’s final curtain call as the notable figure has now perfectly set up his big bad debut in the DCU. For several years now, DC fans have been calling for the acclaimed actor to assume the role of supervillain Lex Luthor — and with Cranston memorably shaving his head in the past for the role of Walter White, this casting would certainly make sense.

On the other hand, DCU fanatics seem more enthusiastic to witness Cranston play a completely different but extremely lovable character — and that would be Gotham City commissioner Jim Gordon. In fact, most fans online have moved on from the Luthor casting and are now fully on board with Cranston being cast as the Commissioner.

No matter the role, it’s quite obvious that superhero stans are desperate to finally see Cranston enter the redesigned DCU. And with a healthy array of projects already on the horizon, now seems like the perfect time for Cranston to make the leap.
