One of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the ’80s, Back to the Future star has managed to have a wildly successful career and raise a family all while battling Parkinson’s disease. Despite the illness taking its toll on Fox’s health and his career, the actor has always had the full of his wife and their four children whom he often talks about with great fondness.
Fox met his wife, Tracy Pollan, in 1985 whilst filming ‘Family Ties’, an American sitcom he starred in before Back to the Future. The pair would go on to be married in 1988 and have maintained a strong relationship that still endures today.

The newlywed couple would go on to have their first child Sam Michael Fox in 1989. Sam is now 34 and looks strikingly similar to his father when he was the same age. But looks aren’t all they have in common, as Sam also works in the entertainment industry. He has produced music videos, short films, and most recently the documentary on his father: Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie.
Fox and Pollan welcomed twins into their family in 1995 with the birth of Aquinnah Kathleen Fox and Schuyler s Fox. Both daughters went on to attain bachelor’s degrees at some pretty prestigious universities with Aquinna studying for her Bachelors at Duke University and Schuyler studying for her Masters at Harvard. For the most part, the sisters have kept out of the limelight, although they did appear at the Spring Moving Images Awards this year to their father who was invited to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Fox’s youngest child was born in 2001, 21-year-old Esmé Annabelle Fox who, like her older sisters, has kept a low profile. However, Michael confirmed with People that his daughter had moved out of the family home for college. He also revealed his and Pollan’s plans to travel once the nest was empty.
Despite the monumental challenges Michael J. Fox has faced over the years, it seems that he’s always had a strong system in his own family. He and his wife still appear to be going strong after nearly 40 years. On top of this, the actor takes every opportunity he gets to shower his children with praise on his Instagram.
