‘I am a political prisoner’: Andrew Tate pulls out all the dramatics to gather sympathy on Twitter

Another day, another attempt to sway public opinion.

Just when we think photoshopping himself with anime girls recently, Tate decided to take a sharp left turn and is now back to defending his muddy reputation.

Today, the social media personality took to Twitter to make some very bold statements, in a fashion we’ve all gotten used to by now. Tate claims that his arrest in Romania has a political connotation, deeming himself a prisoner who has been abandoned by the U.S. and the U.K. He then goes a step further, stating that these countries could “save” him from this alleged wrongdoing, but choose not to due to his sexual orientation.

Taking into consideration Tate’s bigoted opinions on the LGBTQ+ community, it’s not hard to see what he’s implying here. And what better way to celebrate Pride Month than by implying that queer people have some sort of political advantage over cisgender straight men?

But perhaps even worse, is the fact that Tate seems to be mising the reasons behind his arrest. In case anyone has forgotten, last year, the former Big Brother contestant and his brother, Tristan Tate, were repeatedly claimed that others are out to get him.

While most folks find it difficult to believe the influencer’s latest claims, he has succeeded in gathering the sympathy of his Twitter followers. That’s not so surprising, though, as they’ve always been quick to blindly agree with whatever he says.
