‘If the FBI don’t release the tapes, we will’: Prince Andrew’s ex claims ‘did nothing wrong’ and Virginia Giuffre knew it

These claims come not long after Giuffre's tragic death.

Lady Victoria Hervey, a former girlfriend of Virginia Giuffre by claiming that tapes exist proving Andrew’s innocence.

In a recent interview on LBC, Hervey asserted that these tapes confirm Andrew “did nothing wrong” and that Giuffre, who accused the Prince of sexually abusing her as a teenager, was fully aware of his innocence. Hervey’s comments have stirred fresh debate over the long-running saga that has deeply impacted the British royal family.

Speaking to LBC host Tom Swarbrick, Hervey boldly declared, “If the FBI don’t release the tapes, we will.” She claimed to have seen evidence that supposedly exonerates Prince Andrew, adding that the public has only been presented with one side of the story.

Hervey said, “The fact is, we have phone recordings of a conversation.. I have hours of tape, which the FBI has… of Virginia Giuffre in phone recordings saying nothing happened with Andrew.”

Who is Lady Victoria Hervey?

Hervey, a socialite and former ‘It girl’ known for her connections to high-profile figures, alleged that Giuffre knowingly participated in what she described as a ‘fabricated narrative’ to pursue financial settlements. “There is so much that the public hasn’t seen,” she insisted, emphasizing her belief that Andrew has been unfairly maligned in the media and court of public opinion.

Virginia Giuffre, formerly known as Virginia Roberts, has been a central figure in the Epstein scandal. She has long alleged that she was trafficked by Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, to powerful men, including Prince Andrew. Giuffre claims that she was coerced into having sex with Andrew on multiple occasions when she was 17, including a now-infamous night in 2001 in London.

This claim was ed by a widely circulated photograph of Giuffre, Andrew, and Maxwell, taken in the London townhouse where Giuffre alleges one of the incidents occurred.

Andrew has consistently denied these allegations, maintaining that he has “no recollection” of meeting Giuffre and suggesting the photograph could be fake. In a disastrous 2019 BBC interview, Andrew sought to clear his name but faced widespread backlash for his perceived lack of empathy for Epstein’s victims and evasive responses.

In early 2022, Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre in a civil lawsuit filed in the U.S. The settlement, reportedly around $12 million, did not include an ission of guilt but effectively ended the legal battle, allowing the prince to avoid a potentially damaging court trial. Despite the settlement, Andrew has consistently maintained his innocence.

Giuffre’s tragic death

Giuffre, whose voice had become a symbol of Epstein’s countless victims, was recently found dead from suicide, a tragic and sudden development that has added a somber layer to the already complex saga. While her ing has been met with widespread sympathy and tributes from other survivors, it has also sparked renewed scrutiny over her allegations and the powerful men she accused.

Lady Victoria Hervey’s latest claims threaten to pull Andrew back into the center of a scandal he has desperately tried to distance himself from. Her allegations of suppressed evidence raise fresh questions about the transparency of investigations into Epstein’s sprawling network.

Whether these tapes exist and what they might reveal remains uncertain, but their potential release could dramatically alter the narrative surrounding Prince Andrew’s involvement in the scandal.
