‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2’ release date, confirmed

If fans don't find out when 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part 2' hits theaters, there'll be hell to pay.

This film hasn’t even hit theaters yet and you’re trying to figure out when the second one is set to release? I’ll it that’s pretty punk rock. Watching Tom Cruise be all Tom Cruise-y is one of my favorite things too.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1 is shaping up to be the summer’s biggest blockbuster, and fans everywhere can’t wait to watch Cruise’s Ethan Hunt set out on another impossible mission.

What I still can’t seem to wrap my mind around is that last summer Top Gun: Maverick was far and away the biggest movie in town. Now, helmed again by Tom freakin’Cruise, this newest installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise looks to be a back-to-back repeat for the 61-year-old action star.

Currently sitting at a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, if you care about that sort of thing, Dead Reckoning Part One is going to be absolutely stellar. Cue the iconic theme song — it’s been stuck in my head.

Seeing as this is a “Part One,” it would stand to reason that a “Part Two” is on the way, and indeed it is. Mission: Dead Reckoning – Part Two is set to release June of 2024, barring any issues, which means we only have to wait a year to see what I’m sure will be an epic conclusion to this current storyline.

It’s worth mentioning that Tom Cruise has gone on record to say he wants to make Mission: Impossible movies until he’s 80-years-old — so you don’t have to worry about the series ending anytime soon. If fate allows, Cruise will be sprinting to save the day for at least a few more decades.
