New Trailer For Joe Wright’s Hanna

A trailer has been released for Joe Wright's new film called Hanna, the story of a teenage assassin, Hanna, played by Saoirse Ronan who is raised by her father as a killing machine, the perfect assassin. The trailer looks interesting. When footage debuted at New York Comic Con the reaction from some critics wasn't wholly positive but the trailer has gone down better. It looks like nothing Joe Wright has done before, most famous for making his name with period melodramas like Atonement and Pride & Prejudice, and to see him attempt at something different will be a true judgment of his talents as a filmmaker. Check out the trailer below.

The trailer looks interesting. When footage debuted at New York Comic Con the reaction from some critics wasn’t wholly positive but the trailer has gone down better. It looks like nothing Joe Wright has done before, most famous for making his name with period melodramas like Atonement and Pride & Prejudice, and to see him attempt at something different will be a true judgment of his talents as a filmmaker.

Here is the film’s official synopsis:

Hanna (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a solider; these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Sweden. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity

Hanna will be released April 8th, 2011
