The first photos from the set of James Franco’s Child Of God have hit the internet. Aside from getting a look af Franco directing, we also get to see the film’s protagonist, Lester Ballard played by Scott Haze, who can be seen above with the shotgun.
The film, which is currently shooting in West Virginia, is an adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s 1973 novel and follows “Lester Ballard, a young man who becomes ostracized from society and falls into a life of crime and sexual depravity while living in a cave in Tennessee.”
The Pocahontas Times recently spoke to the crew and found out that the film will premiere at a few film festivals this year, before a 2013 theatrical release.
Child Of God stars Scott Haze, Tim Blake Nelson, Jim Parrack, James Franco and Vince Jolivette.
