Coldplay Heads To Paradise

Coldplay has released the music video for what could be one of my new favorite songs from the band. Paradise is the name of the track and it's off their album, Mylo Xyloto, which drops on October 25th.

Truthfully, this may just be my favorite Coldplay song of all time, it’s well on its way to claiming that prize. I’ve loved it since first listen and it has been on repeat in my iTunes for far too long now.

“We’re just following the things we love.  The video we did before, for ‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,’ we did with our friend Mat [Whitecross], who is the most indie of indie filmmakers. It’s just nice when you can try both approaches.

Paradise is about a girl really, the female half of the album, just about being a bit lost in the world and escaping through fantasy. We felt like so many people have already made up their minds … both good and bad,” Chris Martin said. “That we can sort of start again from scratch and try and reflect all the music we listen to and love.”

Featuring the band in elephant suits, and taking place mostly in London, the video is well worth the watch, if not for its quirkiness then for the pleasantly odd visuals that accompany the delightfully infectious music.
