Jennifer Aniston reportedly ‘furious’ LAPD revealed this private information post gate-crash incident: She may move

You'd think the LAPD would understand she might not want visitors.

Jennifer Aniston is reportedly and understandably “furious” with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) after her home address was inadvertently disclosed in official documents following a disturbing gate-crash incident at her Bel-Air residence.

The breach of privacy has left the actress shaken and considering relocating to protect her safety, not to mention, revelations about the gate-crash suspect Jimmy Wayne Carwyle‘s disturbing social media posts about the Friends star in the past.

“No one told you life was going to be this way …”

During his initial court appearance on May 8, Carwyle appeared shirtless and disheveled, wrapped in an anti-suicide blanket. He did not speak, and his attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. The judge ordered a mental health evaluation to determine his competency to stand trial. If convicted, Carwyle could face up to three years in state prison.

On May 5, 2025, police arrested Carwyle, 48, from New Albany, Mississippi, after he allegedly rammed his vehicle through the front gates of Aniston’s $21 million Bel-Air mansion. Aniston was home at the time but was unharmed. Aniston’s private security detained Carwyle before LAPD officers took him into custody.

After his arrest, police charged Carwyle with felony stalking and vandalism, with an aggravating circumstance of threatening great bodily harm. Prosecutors allege that he had been harassing Aniston since March 2023 through voicemails, emails, and social media messages.

In those messages, Carwyle allegedly referred to Aniston as his wife and claimed to be a Christ-like figure.  His estranged wife, Julia Carwyle, revealed that he believes Aniston is his queen and has been obsessed with her for months.

Could Aniston move to Montecito?

In the aftermath of the incident, Anisto directed her anger at the LAPD for inadvertently leaking her home address in a crime report. The disclosure has led to fans flocking to her residence, raising serious security concerns and severely impacting her privacy. As a result, Aniston is now considering selling her Bel-Air home.

Aniston is reportedly contemplating a move to Montecito, California, where she owns a $14.8 million Tuscan-style farmhouse purchased from Oprah Winfrey in 2022. The property has undergone extensive renovations over the past three years. Montecito is known for its privacy and is home to several A-list celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.

Carwyle remains in custody with bail set at $150,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 22 at the Mental Health Court in Hollywood.  Aniston has not publicly commented on the incident, but sources close to her indicate that she is deeply unsettled by the events and the subsequent privacy breach.
