Rihanna’s mysterious Super Bowl halftime show could enlist Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Eminem, Kanye West, or Paul McCartney

What surprises does Rihanna have in store when she returns to the stage?

Rumors are circulating that some A-list talent is waiting in the wings. Considering the number of collaborations on Rihanna’s impressive resume, it leaves a hefty list of A-list candidates.

Parade ranks Jay-Z, Kanye “Ye” West, Paul McCartney, Calvin Harris, Eminem, Shakira, Jeezy, Kendrick Lamar, Coldplay, Bryson Tiller, and PARTYNEXTDOOR as the front-runners. Behind them, the publication suggests that Mikky Ekko, T.I., Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, and Drake are possible, though less likely.

If Jay-Z steps up to the plate, some fans are hoping he won’t be alone.

Ever since the age of superstar halftime performances began, fans have come to expect surprises during the mini-concert. Just last year, the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem brought down the house. Let us not forget the controversial Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson duet of 2004. As we saw in 2010, there’s always a chance that stars from other genres will the fun.

No doubt, there will be no lack of volunteers to take the stage with Rihanna this year, which will also mark the opening kickoff at 6:30 ET tonight.

Let’s be honest. The real superstar we all need at the Super Bowl is Weird Al Yankovic.
