Elon Musk makes his unelected position known with highjacked interview from behind the Resolute Desk

Will America's real president please stand up?

It took less than a month for Donald Trump to ditch the veneer of legality and expose the truth behind their collaboration.

In a shocking move that hasn’t fully settled in for most Americans yet, Musk — a completely unelected individual with a fringe, unofficial government position — addressed the press from the least appropriate place imaginable. Invited by the president himself, Musk took up position behind the Resolute Desk – a loaded item of presidential furniture — and rattled off an unhinged rant about DOGE with a distinct air of authority.

The resulting clip is exhaustingly long and utterly offensive, and it also exposes just how dangerous this doltish duo really is. In making the decision to act like America’s president right in front of America’s president, Musk exposed just how much power he wields over Trump. DJT is perhaps the most egotistical man this side of the Pacific, and there is no reality — save one — in which he would allow another man to speak over him so boldly.

Our president has been bought and paid for. There is no other explanation that makes a lick of sense, in the wake of that eye-opening interview. We already knew that Musk’s money had a lot to do with his lofty new position at DOGE, but it wasn’t clear until now just how much power the man wields. Trump’s slumped acceptance of his sidelined position makes that abundantly clear.

Over a nearly 10 minute rant, Musk goes on to “inform” the press about his efforts at DOGE, using loose, indefinite language a la Trump and Tucker Carlson to hint toward alleged issues without expounding further. He also used the time to attack the judicial branch, which is also conveniently the only branch of government Musk and Trump fail to control.

Its hard to pin down a single cohesive thought from Musk’s rambling information dump, but he does mysteriously reference “quite a few people” who ostensibly have “a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars, but somehow manage to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth.”

Putting aside Musk’s own mind-boggling wealth and the numerous suspicions linked to both his and Trump’s accumulation of said wealth, the lack of any concrete evidence is an issue, and one we should be pushing back on. send $50 million in condoms to Gaza. Which makes it very hard to believe a word out of his mouth, particularly when there’s no data, no confirmation, and no hard facts accompanying his word salad.

The entire clip is concerning and head-scratching, to be sure, but its the beginning of Musk’s address that really exposes the cognitive dissonance at play. Musk spends several minutes railing against the “unelected bureaucracy,” noting that too often these unelected officials have “more power than any elected representative.”

Somehow, supposedly “brilliant” Musk seems to be missing the obvious here, which is that he — a completely unelected official — now wields massive power over people who never asked for his input. He is exactly what he is railing against, and yet he thinks he should be allowed broad power to make decisions about other unelected figures. Make it make sense.
