Marjorie Taylor Greene trying to sell mugs with her name on them goes down like burnt coffee

Why is a politician from Georgia copying merch from New York City?

Republican politician Marjorie Taylor Greene is back, this time with an exciting new offer. She has announced that she will be selling official merchandise “made in America.” However, the political merch drop didn’t go exactly as planned.

According to the politician’s online storefront, the featured merchandise will not only have her initials splattered all over it. It will also feature some of her “iconic” quotes, like “Defund the FBI,” “I will not yield,” and who could forget “proud Christian Nationalist?”

But the biggest ones of all are the “I heart MTG” shirts and mugs; plain white shirts and mugs with that text emblazoned upon them. Unfortunately, not everyone is excited for this merch drop.

Some of the replies from this tweet involve donating money to Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics due to last year’s overturn of Roe vs. Wade. Meanwhile, others accused Greene of plagiarism, since the new merch looked identical to New York City’s merchandising. Also, why is she copying New York’s design? Isn’t she a representative from Georgia?

What’s funny about Greene’s merch drop is that not only has she annoyed her political opponents and the city of New York, but she’s also irritated gamers.

Over on Reddit, people claimed that she’s trying to attract Wizards of the Coast might send a cease and desist letter to the politician for “using their trademark” for political gain.

With a storefront that looks like it was made using a cheap website designer (since one of the buttons is aligned in the wrong area), there is one word to describe this launch — cheap. It would be interesting to see if anyone is willing to buy any of these t-shirts or wear one in public.
