The View has a unique place in culture as a point of convergence for people with differing political views. Perhaps now more than ever, that function matters, especially as online platforms — for better or worse — quickly become echo chambers. Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin took to X to warn Democrats against taking Trump’s bait in his legally questionable military deployment in LA.

To understand Alyssa, you first need to understand her lore. Politically, she’s been all over the place. She worked her way up from writing articles to serving in the Strategic Communications department in the White House during Trump’s first term. Her falling out with Trump ultimately came after she found the evergreen Jan. 6 insurrection attempt abhorrent. Since then, she’s moved to television — and seemingly shifted her allegiance from MAGA.

Alyssa was commenting on a post that stated how Democrats are often goaded into overreacting to Trump’s behavior. The LA protest handling hasn’t been great — that we can all agree on — but perhaps the histrionics on other issues, such as harping on Wall Street TACO nicknames, have made the Democratic Party seem easily distracted.

The CNN political commentator suggests another path instead. She’s urging that if Democrats want a winning formula going into the mid, they should focus on Trump’s use of the U.S. military. She wrote, “The U.S. military should be serving America’s interests abroad, not policing American streets.”

Alyssa also added that Democrats should highlight how Trump has byed due process and is attempting to deny people their day in court. She went on to share what she termed as “losing” messages, which included calls for abolishing deportations entirely and defunding ICE.

She worked in communications, so she knows a thing or two about reading the mood of the nation and gaining public empathy. But the heart of her post — the part that landed most heavily — was about Trump using the military to turn on the nation’s own people. There’s always a sense of pride in every country when people see army personnel. The idea is that they sacrifice so much — time away from their families, sometimes limbs, sometimes even more — for citizens to enjoy a semblance of freedom. And it’s that very freedom that now feels increasingly threatened.

In that respect, many people feel a sense of duty to honor troops in whatever small ways they can. It’s a universally relatable message: ensuring that military personnel retain public respect. When that symbolism is flipped — when the military starts looking more like an extension of authoritarian will — it hits a nerve.

There’s another layer to this conversation, though. Most centrists have been telling Democrats that the path to election glory is moving closer to the center, whereas the voting base seems more energized by progressive and leftist candidates. That tension isn’t new, but it’s gaining urgency.

The midterm elections get closer with each ing day, and it’s clear the Republicans have eroded nearly every ounce of goodwill they had. Now it’s just up to the Democrats to figure out how to speak to their base — and give them what they actually yearn for. Because without leverage over Trump, the things he might continue doing seem increasingly nightmarish.

Donald Trump says on an almost daily basis that he’s the greatest president in the universe, knows exactly what he’s doing, and is beloved by everyone. So, of course, his congressional address on Mar. 4, 2025 was more of the same… although it was shockingly long and he spoke for more than an hour and 40 minutes. Actually, it was longer than any other president’s speech in recent history, and Trump will probably attempt to spin that in a positive light.

Alyssa Farah Griffin has ed the long list of people who weren’t impressed by Trump’s congressional address. The View co-host posted on X last night, “This is ridiculous and not effective.”

It’s tough to imagine any Republicans turning their backs on Trump this time around. The GOP is currently having a field day with firing government employees and getting rid of people’s rights. However, Griffin did change her tune on Trump. She worked for Trump during his first term in office! In 2020, she was the Assistant to the President and also held the position of director of strategic communications for the White House.

In a June 2023 episode of The View, Griffin said she knew something was wrong when Trump said, following George Floyd’s absolutely tragic death: “When the looting starts, the shooting starts.” She said: “You thought you could make him better, you could convince him of what’s right and what’s wrong.” She said she was close to quitting and said to herself, “this is not a fixable individual.” She did quit a few months later in December 2020. Before Trump was elected a second time, Griffin called him “dangerous” and hasn’t stopped speaking up since.

Image via The View/YouTube

Along with criticizing Trump’s congressional address, Griffin said on The View‘s Feb. 19, 2025 episode that she thinks Trump and Elon Musk’s buddy-buddy dynamic is going to end at some point. She noted that people voted for Trump because they wanted him to “secure the border” and make groceries cheaper. But now that so many federal employees have been fired, that will affect people’s Social Security, to name just one thing. She said she thinks Trump will “scapegoat” Musk once everyone sees what happens because of DOGE’s actions.

Griffin also said that Trump is “not as sharp as he was in 2016” and brought up the valid point that a lot of people could say he was “not even that sharp then.” Trump’s grammer mistakes are just one example of that, and his Congress address didn’t prove that he’s fit for office. If it was painful to listen to this speech, and it must have been even worse to actually be there. Al Green was told to leave after saying Trump “has no mandate,” and many agree with Green. JD Vance was even heard telling Mike Johnson, “I don’t know how you do this for 90 minutes” prior to the speech. Ouch.

Griffin is absolutely right that Trump’s speech to Congress was “ridiculous” and “not effective.” He mentioned his (unlikely) goal to “conquer the vast frontiers of science,” which is tough to believe given Health Secretary RFK Jr.’s long-time anti-vaccine beliefs. Trump then said “the Golden Age of America has only just begun” and “It will be like nothing that has ever been seen before.” Griffin may have explained Trump’s Congress address with six words, but the only word for his last statement is “frightening,” given what’s already happened this year.

In one of the most random moves of his political career, Donald Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” Now, Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of The View and former Trump staffer, is defending the name change.

Not just defended it, though — she called it inclusive. On Thursday’s episode of The View, the was heatedly discussing the White House’s decision to bar the Associated Press (AP) from covering an Oval Office event. The AP refused to call the Gulf of Mexico by its new name, the Gulf of America. This is the kind of thing we’re prioritizing these days. While Griffin itted that barring the AP was a bad move, she went on to argue that the name change itself wasn’t so bad. In fact, she doesn’t “actually hate” the idea.

Griffin’s reasoning? “It’s North America. Mexico and the United States are part of the Americas,” she explained, emphasizing that it would’ve been worse if Trump had named it the “Gulf of the United States,” which would’ve been too petty. So, instead of outright claiming the Gulf as ours, the name “Gulf of America” is supposed to be a nod to shared regional identity. Sure, Alyssa. Just because something could have been worse doesn’t mean it’s good.

Let’s not pretend the name “Gulf of Mexico” came out of some deep, exclusive plot to alienate Americans. The name is based on geography — it’s a gulf that borders Mexico. Renaming it the “Gulf of America” doesn’t make it inclusive. It makes it territorial. If inclusivity were really the goal, wouldn’t the name stay as it is — a shared name that acknowledges Mexico’s presence? Renaming it feels less like a gesture of goodwill and more like a dominance play.

Thankfully, not everyone on The View was ready to let Griffin’s take slide. Joy Behar chimed in with a history lesson, pointing out that North America was originally settled by Indigenous people, yet the entire continent is named after a white Italian explorer, Amerigo Vespucci. “Why is it named after a white man when it was settled by Indigenous people?” she asked. The whole premise of renaming something to be more “inclusive” falls apart when you consider the colonial history of the Americas.

Griffin then itted that Trump often does things like this to create media distractions. According to her, the “Gulf of America” madness is just another way to rile up the press while the istration quietly pushes through bigger, scarier changes, like dismantling government agencies or appointing people like Tulsi Gabbard to key intelligence roles.

Griffin seems to be acknowledging the manipulation while still defending it. Since leaving the istration, she’s tried to distance herself from Trump’s more extreme antics. She’s spoken out against January 6, cooperated with federal prosecutors, and even voted for Kamala Harris in the 2024 election — a shocking move for a lifelong Republican. But despite all that, she still finds ways to defend or rationalize Trump’s policies. However, this time, let’s save the rebranding for something that actually needs it — like, I don’t know, the Republican Party.

Election Day is finally here, but that doesn’t mean the build-up of stress will evaporate anytime soon. Americans have a painful few days ahead as the ballot count trickles in, but the hard part is over. Now that the voting is almost done, the somehow taboo practice of sharing who you has lifted and more and more people are feeling empowered to let their opinions fly.

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin has never been shy about voicing her feelings. A former communication aide to then-President Donald Trump, she’s been incredibly vocal about her disapproval of the Trump campaign. On Nov. 5, she laid her truth bare and encouraged other women to vote for a “kind and decent person who will bring this country together.”

In a clip that quickly took X by storm, Griffin, a lifelong Republican and former aide to Trump during his first presidency, revealed her position. In an anecdote about serving as his aide during the 2020 election night, Griffin said that as the numbers trickled in, she felt 45 “deserved to lose” because he “hadn’t fought to win.”

“I thought the next four years would be the Republican party rebuilding and becoming something I could believe in,” she said, “it didn’t do that.”

“So, this weekend,” she continued, “For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat.” The audience lavished her with raucous cheers, and her peers were clearly delighted. Though Griffin has thrown her weight behind the former prosecutor, she “voted down-ballot Republicans,” and considers her vote “on loan” to Harris.

Even if Griffin doesn’t fully agree with Harris’ policies, she can see the bigger picture. Donald Trump has been a divisive figure in the country. A convicted felon, with a history of sexual assault, he never should have made it this far. And that’s not even touching on the insurrection, his fraternization with Russian president Vladimir Putin, or his alleged relationship with known child sex trafficker Jeffery Epstein.

And with that much baggage, Americans must ask, “Is this man good for America’s future?” Griffin doesn’t think so. She told the audience she worries, “about the direction Donald Trump will take this country.” She saw his antic firsthand, behind the curtain.

“I’m a Christian, I’m an American, and I’m a Republican — in that order — and I need someone that shares my values.” Right now, there doesn’t appear to be a Republican who cares about the issues that have had the majority of women wringing their hands.

Polls have shown that this election has come down to a gender split. As women flock to the polls to protect their futures, and those of their daughters and granddaughters, we know we aren’t alone in voting for our freedoms. Many men have come out to Harris, but more still favor a Trump presidency. And Trump has made no secret of his disdain for the women who don’t supplicate themselves before him.

A Marist poll from Tuesday morning showed that the gap had narrowed, but numbers show more men still Trump over Harris. This election may have come down to some powerful single issues, but in the end, all of us vote for what we believe in most, and Griffin was right on the money when she said her vote for Harris was “about a brighter future.”

The co-hosts of The View may discuss pop culture and interview celebrities, but the daytime talk show focuses on Donald Trump 90% of the time. Or maybe 95%? Okay, let’s not try to do the math, and let’s focus on what one co-host recently said about the horrifying prospect of Trump taking office for the second time.

Alyssa Farah Griffin, who worked for the previous Trump istration, said, “This is the most important election of our lifetimes because he is the most dangerous man to have ever sat in the American presidency.” She then said what we’re all thinking when she added, “He cannot go back.”

Griffin continued that other senior advisors and former Vice President Mike Pence no longer believe in Trump. She said, “We are telling you, he should not be in that role” and continued that besides Trump’s “character” and the fact that he cried election fraud last time around (ugh), he “has betrayed conservative principles.” She explained that no Republican should even think about voting for him. One example? His recent statement that “in many cases, our allies are worse than our enemies.” She also mentioned he’s “not securing the borders” and he wants to impose tariffs that could hurt the middle class.

Sure, Republicans may not stand behind these specific parts of Trump’s platform. And I agree with Griffin that Trump should be “nowhere near the White House” (maybe a jailhouse? just saying). But is it really true that Trump is putting forth some ideas and policies (I use the term “policy” lightly) that conservatives don’t agree with or believe in? After all, he stacked the Supreme Court and stirred up more hatred than I can even process. When he makes his revolting statements, there are Republicans out there who stand behind him.

Still, Griffin’s right in that she’s fully aware of who Trump is, since she worked as his assistant and communications director starting in March 2020 and ending in December 2020. However, despite her public criticism of him, she still considers herself a member of the Republican party. She told People in 2022 she is a “conservative Republican” and that she cares about the party. She called him “wholly unfit” and continued, “I want to be part of fixing what the future of the Republican Party should be in casting behind us into the ash heap of history what Donald Trump has done to it.”

I don’t share the opinion that the Republican Party needs saving, as there are numerous problems and other, to use The View co-host’s term, dangerous or appalling people ai the GOP’s center. Three words: Marjorie Taylor Greene. However, Griffin’s point that Trump is dangerous is definitely true. Just one example? At his rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania on Sunday Nov. 3, Trump said “somebody would have to shoot through the fake news.” And then he talked about violence for a little bit like it was totally fine and normal. Because that’s appropriate when you’re running for office/in a position of power/in general.

Sure, Griffin doesn’t say the perfect thing all the time, and she gets into some strange arguments with Joy Behar over Trump. But the fact that his former aide is willing to slam him on national television and encourage people not to vote for him is significant, and just might point to the results on election day.

Donald Trump is seemingly still spiraling following both his lackluster debate performance, and Taylor Swift’s endorsement of his opponent, Kamala Harris.

The spiral has so far come to include a raging post on X in which the former president declared he “HATE[S] TAYLOR SWIFT”, another comment that she will “pay the price” for her stance against him, and a even message from his running mate, JD Vance, about the supposed unimportance of an endorsement from the world’s biggest pop star.

Trump’s reaction to Swift’s of Harris was ferocious enough to launch MAGA ers on a steadfast tirade against the “Bad Blood” singer, and even came to involve a creepy comment made by the Republican candidate’s best buddy and fellow billionaire Elon Musk.

While it doesn’t seem like the dust will settle on this whole Trump/Swift debacle anytime soon (it seems pretty one-sided, in any case), one pundit is weighing in on all the hullabaloo and suggesting where Trump’s rage might be coming from in the first place. Taking to X to discuss the topic, The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin opined on what she called “the psychology of the Trump/Taylor Swift rage.”

Griffin, who was both Trump’s White House Director of Strategic Communications and his assistant in 2020, said her former boss feels the need “to make [Swift] an enemy that his people will vilify.” The TV personality added that a “normal well-adjusted adult” would not resort to such tactics, but would rather be “disappointed they didn’t get the endorsement & move on.”

In a follow-up post, Griffin went on to claim that the “only way [Trump will] *feel* better about not getting the endorsement is if he can turn Taylor into an enemy of MAGA.” That is a manoeuvre that appears to have worked, with Swift enduring an onslaught of backlash from Trump ers following her endorsement of Harris, including one case where a former fan burned the singer’s records as a sign of protest.

Griffin concluded the post by writing that she has “seen the playback” of Trump’s rage against Swift “many times before,” and his anger certainly recalls that which he has levelled against the likes of Stormy Daniels, Megyn Kelly and E Jean Carroll, among others.

Swift has yet to comment on Trump’s post-endorsement behavior against her, since she’s probably too busy breaking records at the VMAs

It marks the most recent instance of Griffin sharing her thoughts about Swift’s involvement in the presidential race, with the co-host suggesting last month that the Harris campaign announce her endorsement during the Democratic National Convention.

Elsewhere, Griffin has commended Harris for her masterful baiting of Trump during the debate, criticized Trump’s interview with Musk, and denounced Trump’s rehiring of controversial former senior advisor Corey Lewandowski. It adds to what has been a tumultuous few weeks for Trump, following a debate performance that drew backlash and a second reported assassination attempt on his life while golfing in Florida.

The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin knows Donald Trump better than most. She was his Special Assistant in the White House from October 2017 to September 2019, at which point she was promoted to the Press Secretary to the Pentagon and to the Department of Defense — the youngest person ever to take this prestigious role.

So, while we’ll never trust anyone who signed up to be a part of the Trump istration, we will take her seriously in her evaluation of Trump’s personality. And let’s just say her opinion of her former boss’ performance in his debate against Kamala Harris isn’t particularly rosy:

Goading Trump was always going to be the Harris campaign’s strategy, and the Trump campaign must have known it was coming. Doubtless in debate preparation they urged Trump to stay focused on the issues and not to go ham on every little jab to his ego. But you really can’t teach an old dog new tricks and Harris poking fun at the sizes of crowds at his rallies was like showing a red rag to a bull.

Doubtless drawing on her prosecutorial experience Harris was able to manipulate her opponent into some truly bizarre situations, culminating in his unhinged rant about eating dogs, bizarre pronouncements about killing babies and, yes, his dogged insistence that the extremely centrist Kamala Harris is actually a die-hard Marxist.

Did this tactic pay off for Trump? *taps ear* The polls are saying “no!” A CNN flash poll suggested that a full two-thirds of viewers concluded that Harris had defeated Trump. Even among Trump ers the news wasn’t great, with 31% of them conceding that their guy had walked straight into every obvious trap Harris laid out in front of him.

Trump has, all too predictably, claimed the debate was rigged against him and that he never stood a chance against the s. But nobody made him say all those weird things in front of the nation, so we’re going to blame his nano-thin skin for this mess. And as for Griffin’s takeaway on Trump after last night:

We couldn’t agree more. It’s worth ing that Harris’ debate victory is by no means a sign she has the election in the bag. The end result may well be decided by a few thousand voters in swing states so there is still all to play for. Let’s hope they all watched this frothing egomaniac embarrass himself on stage last night and drew the right conclusion.

Did ‘The View’ get cancelled? https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/did-the-view-get-cancelled/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/did-the-view-get-cancelled/#respond Mon, 09 Sep 2024 04:30:13 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1750482 Speculation around the status of the daytime talk show has reached fever pitch. ]]>

As one of television’s longest-running and highest-rating daytime talk shows, The View has, in addition to discussing the actual news topics of the day, attracted its fair share of headlines in its own right.

The talk show, which is currently in its 28th season and is co-hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro, was the subject of speculation and backlash this year, especially as rumors swirled about the status of its long-running lineup of hosts and criticism about their opinions on the presidential race grew.

This, coupled with the show’s month-long break in the lead-up to Labor Day, has had fans questioning the longevity of the show, but do we know for sure whether The View has been cancelled?

Did The View get cancelled?

Reports that The View has been cancelled are false, as proven by the return of the show for its 28th season at the start of September. While the show’s return was marked by a few changes, including an all-new studio and a different theme song, the host lineup is the same as previous recent seasons, and it appears to be back to regular programming for Goldberg and the gang.

However, claims that The View had been cancelled were not completely unfounded. In July, the show received large online backlash for its hosts’ commentary on Donald Trump (Behar in particular has had some choice words for the presidential nominee), leading to calls for the show to be cancelled.

While this discourse made a splash online, a spokesperson for The View revealed in an interview that rumors of The View’s cancellation were false. “This is not true,” a representative from ABC, who produces The View, told The Sun. The network went on to tout The View’s status as “the number one most-watched daytime talk show for the fourth consecutive year” as well as its “three-year high” viewership.

Much of this speculation — which included a Reuters-debunked headline claiming the show had been dropped from ABC’s lineup — arose while The View was on its annual summer hiatus, and the absence of the show from the airwaves only amplified concern that it would not be returning.

While the status of The View’s 29th season remains unknown (those details likely won’t arrive for some time), it’s probable — given the show’s high ratings and ability to draw in starry guests like Robert De Niro and Ryan Reynolds — that a season will also air in 2025. After all, the backlash that first spurred the rumors is simply par for the course for The View, given that it’s goal is to discuss hot-button topics.

Though Taylor Swift didn’t appear at the Democratic National Convention, one pundit has suggested the best way for the Kamala Harris campaign to leverage the singer’s unprecedented star power.

For context, Swift was rumored to appear at the DNC, but this didn’t come to . Even so, The View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin has offered some Swift-related advice to the Harris team, and it’s not simply “shaking off” their opponent Donald Trump.

Farah Griffin — who served as the White House Director of Strategic Communications during Trump’s presidency — advised the Harris campaign to have Swift perform a series of “one-night-only shows in battleground states”. Farah Griffin said on X that the shows should target first-time voters, and make the price of entry “ing to vote” in lieu of traditional payment.

The talk show host elsewhere said that she believes Swift will eventually endorse Harris, an especially big win given her proven influence on voter turnout. The “Blank Space” singer offered her endorsement of Joe Biden in 2020 while sharing a seething message to Donald Trump, the latter of whom still roped her into his campaign with the assistance of AI-generated images earlier this week.

While Beyonce promptly sent a cease-and-desist and renounced any association with Trump after a campaign spokesperson used her song “Freedom” in a promotional video, Swift has been less vocal in response to the AI images. That silence might make her eventual endorsement of Harris ring louder (if it ever happens), so we hope she’ll be singing of Swift and Trump’s “Bad Blood” soon enough.

In recent years, the Republican Party has gleefully embraced the most vile and repugnant elements of society, transforming itself into a seething cauldron of white supremacy, transphobic hysteria, and unhinged conspiracy theories.

From the tiki-torch-wielding neo-Nazis of Charlottesville to the hateful architects of anti-trans legislation, the GOP has made it abundantly clear that intolerance and discrimination are not just tolerated, but actively celebrated. And at the helm of this ship of fools is none other than the orange-tinted tyrant himself, Donald Trump, who has single-handedly dragged the Party into a festering quagmire of lies and authoritarian delusions.

The reawakened minds are realizing that “making America great again” doesn’t actually mean turning it into a real-life version of of Gilead from The Handmaid’s Tale. Voters are indeed growing increasingly weary of the ongoing attempts to transform the nation into a dystopian authoritarian hellscape. Recent footage from Republican presidential candidate rallies shows dwindling crowds and a palpable disillusionment as Trump waves at illusionary crowds.

Voters are not committing some unforgivable sin by turning their backs on a party they once believed in. Loyalty to a political party should never come at the expense of one’s principles or the well-being of the nation. As Alyssa Farah Griffin, the straight-shooting co-host of ABC’s The View, perfectly laid out in a recent tweet, “It’s ok to not vote for a political Party you’ve been loyal to if that Party has fundamentally changed.”

It’s a sentiment that carries extra weight coming from someone like Griffin, who once served as a loyal foot soldier in the Trump istration, dutifully regurgitating talking points about imaginary voter fraud and “rigged elections” in the bitter aftermath of Trump’s humiliating defeat. Griffin has since renounced her past transgressions, acknowledging the error of her ways, and attributing her political evolution to a great shift in perspective born of experience and introspection. She has become an outspoken critic of the former president, fearlessly sounding the alarm about the reeking stench of fascism that permeates every corner of the Trump cult.

According to Griffin, “Reaganism is dead,” and the Republican Party is now fully in the thrall of Trumpism. In a recent interview, she remarked, “This is a very different party. You had the Teamsters on stage. You had people talking about Ukraine shouldn’t be ed. It’s a really odd moment in our politics. As a Republican, I don’t even know where I fit in anymore.”

Perhaps that’s why Griffin is now choosing to endorse certain aspects of Kamala Harris’s campaign for the 2024 presidential election. Recently, she gushed about Harris’s “Obama-level energy,” and hinted that she could be a force to be reckoned with. If even Griffin can see the writing on the wall, scrawled in the blood of our democracy, then perhaps there’s hope for others to follow suit.

Donald Trump, the twice-impeached former president and convicted felon, is finding out the hard way that even his most loyal ers can only stomach so many of his antics.

Back in 2016, Trump rode a wave of anti-establishment fervor to a shock victory. His rallies were somewhat packed with ionate ers eager to hear his unfiltered thoughts on everything from immigration to “crooked Hillary.” But fast forward to 2024 and the picture couldn’t be more different. Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic exposed his utter incompetence as he downplayed the virus and pushed quack cures like injecting bleach. The deadly January 6th Capitol riot, incited by his baseless claims of a stolen election, was the final straw for many die-hard fans. Even loyal allies like Mike Pence have distanced themselves from the disgraced ex-president and notably did not attend the 2024 Republican National Convention.

Nowadays, the only lost souls still paying attention to Trump are the bots and trolls on his struggling Truth Social platform. He’s reduced to typing in all-caps and sharing conspiracy theories to a dwindling audience of true believers. Alyssa Farah Griffin, a CNN political commentator and co-host on The View, aptly points out this shift in public sentiment. Having worked closely with Trump in the past, Griffin’s turn against him isn’t just a personal betrayal — it’s emblematic of a wider trend of Trump fatigue.

While Trump petulantly waves at empty bleachers with his trademark constipated grimace, his nemesis Kamala Harris is whipping up tsunami-sized crowds of adoring fans on the campaign trail. And Griffin is spot-on in her assessment of the shifting political winds.

Harris, who seized the Democratic crown after President Biden waved the white flag in late July, is striking a chord with young voters repulsed by Trump’s bile-spewing bigotry. The right-wing chattering class’s ham-fisted attempts to diss Harris as a “childless cat lady” have backfired spectacularly, as legions see it as yet more proof of the GOP’s baked-in misogyny and sneering disdain for women’s rights. With Trump and his goons hell-bent on criminalizing abortion and dragging America back to the Stone Age, it’s no shock that fed-up citizens are ditching the MAGA mob.

Trump’s alarming tumble against Harris in the polls is glaringly obvious in crucial swing states, where the two bitter rivals are locked in a neck-and-neck brawl. As it turns out, voters aren’t exactly stoked about morphing America into a dystopian Christian caliphate, no matter how much Trump and his Bible-thumping bootlickers lust for it. The reeking stench of fascism wafting from the Trump camp is getting harder and harder to ignore. In a word, Trump fatigue is a five-alarm fire, and it might just be the kryptonite that propels Kamala Harris to shatter the White House’s glass ceiling once and for all come November. And if she does, Alyssa Farah Griffin will have the last laugh.

‘That outta do the trick!’: Donald Trump’s campaign is bringing Corey Lewandowski back and one ‘View’ co-host is already laughing https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/politics/that-outta-do-the-trick-donald-trumps-campaign-is-bringing-corey-lewandowski-back-and-one-view-co-host-is-already-laughing/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/politics/that-outta-do-the-trick-donald-trumps-campaign-is-bringing-corey-lewandowski-back-and-one-view-co-host-is-already-laughing/#respond Fri, 16 Aug 2024 16:22:34 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1740337 Well, the orange ball is even more delusional than we thought.]]>

Years after the lecherous and disgraced Corey Lewandowski was unceremoniously booted as Donald Trump‘s campaign manager, the serial sexual harasser has wormed his way back into the fold.

Trump, quaking in his boots as his re-election prospects dim, has desperately rehired Lewandowski as a “senior adviser.” It seems the floundering former president believes this tone-deaf move will somehow resurrect his flailing campaign, but it’s far more likely to drive the final nail into its coffin. With Kamala Harris trouncing him in fundraising by a staggering $67 million and eating his lunch in key swing state polls, Trump is clearly spiraling into a full-blown “narcissistic collapse” – a spectacular implosion that occurs when a narcissist’s bloated ego is punctured.

Rather than taking a long, hard look in the mirror and confronting his own glaring inadequacies, Trump is grasping at straws by exhuming a known liability like Lewandowski. Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of The View and former Trump istration official, aptly pointed out the absurdity of this move with a sarcastic tweet.

Let’s take a stroll down memory lane and revisit Lewandowski’s sordid history, shall we? This is the same vile creature who heartlessly mocked a 10-year-old migrant child with Down syndrome, callously dismissing her gut-wrenching story with a cruel “Womp, womp” on national television. In 2021, he was slapped with charges for sexually harassing the wife of a GOP donor at a swanky Las Vegas charity event, allegedly groping her and stalking her through the venue while spewing disgusting, lewd comments. Any sane person (like Griffin) would assume such reprehensible behavior would make him radioactive, but apparently not in Trump’s twisted universe.

Griffin, who toiled as White House Director of Strategic Communications and Assistant to the President in 2020, has morphed into one of Trump’s most relentless critics since the January 6 Capitol insurrection. On The View, she has repeatedly sounded the alarm on Trump as a “clear and present danger to our democracy” and tirelessly advocated for a candidate with the guts and grit to send him packing. She has also boldly questioned her own place in the drastically altered landscape of the Republican Party, conceding that “Reaganism is dead” and the party’s core principles have been warped beyond recognition under Trump’s corrosive influence.

So let’s all take a moment to thank Alyssa Farah Griffin for calling it like it is and exposing Trump’s latest desperate ploy for what it really is: a pathetic attempt to revive a flatlining campaign by doubling down on the very worst impulses of his corrupt and morally bankrupt istration.
