Brian Austin Green is back with an update about why him calling his ex toxic isn’t technically “placing blame” on her. Green argues that it’s intention that matters.

Last time Brian Austin Green shared his thoughts on his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil, who he shares one son with, Green was explaining on his podcast how one of her main drawbacks is that she doesn’t remind him enough of his mother. Green shared that Vanessa Marcil was “the opposite of that” and that she was very toxic.

Fans online were furious at Green’s painting of his ex-wife. From Vanessa Marcil’s perspective, Green had simply not been present enough during the upbringing of their shared son. And while Brian Austin Green had his reasons, Marcil made it clear that this is something she still holds resentment about. Marcil even shared a screenshot on Instagram that showed Green wasn’t even aware of their son’s graduation.

People caught up with Green at a gala that was fundraising for the eradication of MS and had questions. People had one simple question, “Any regrets?” Brian Austin Green replied, “No, because everything that’s come recently has genuinely been for the purpose of speaking about a relationship.” Brian Austin Green went on to explain that he’s not playing the blame game. For him, it’s pretty clear that when you listen to his show in full, there’s no malicious intention. Green said:

“It’s not pointing fingers, placing blame on anyone. If she takes things that way, then there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s pretty obvious just in listening to the things that I say and what it is we do on our show, that’s not our intention. Our intention is to help people. And people go through toxic situations and tough situations and the best you can do is be open and honest about it and hopefully steer other people clear of those situations or help them get through them.”

To be fair to Brian Austin Green, this is a more measured and classy contribution to the two’s back-and-forth. Two things are almost always certain with Green: he will date a co-star and he will make controversial statements about his personal life — but lately the latter has just been dropping him into a world of mess. Brian Austin Green genuinely seems like he wants his podcast Old-ish to be a respectful yet honest retrospective about what it means to grow up and accept your mistakes. At least that’s what the tone of the show is.

When you look at how Brian Austin Green’s approach and respect for Megan Fox, it’s genuinely irable. He honestly makes it seem like he’s a heaven-sent ex. He never pretends he doesn’t care about her but he also never bashes her. In fact, he’s often the one to come to her defense publicly whenever he thinks she needs it. So clearly this is something Brian Austin Green can do, but just chooses not to with Vanessa Marcil.

Another positive was when Vanessa Marcil shared her now-deleted exchange with Brian Austin Green. The conversation at least ended in pleasantries. Celebrity relationships ending up acrimoniously can have its moment. The exposés, the funny back and forths, the grandstanding on podcasts. But once it’s been a couple of years — or decades for them — it’s time to let things go. Even if your mother is your ex’s complete opposite.

You’d hope that this will be the end of the two’s back-and-forth. And probably social media will receive this better. But a nagging feeling suggests that Vanessa Marcil might have to respond first before we come up to any happy conclusions.

Brian Austin Green has appeared in a few comedies, wherein he often shows off a slightly sardonic comedic timing. It’s not that Green can land a good joke — it’s that he can sell a goofy premise. And he was recently in good form on his podcast Old-ish, where he told listeners that one of his biggest dating missteps has been consistently seeking women who are the complete opposite of his mother.

Now, someone reminding you of a parent you ire isn’t necessarily a red flag — but going for the opposite doesn’t automatically mean trouble either. Still, according to Green, his former relationship with Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Vanessa Marcil — with whom he shares a son — was toxic precisely because it lacked the warmth and care he associates with his mother. He described the relationship as neither loving nor ive. The two broke up in 2003 and, judging by the way things have gone since, haven’t exactly been on a path to healing. But Green’s expectations also don’t sound healthy, as he ruminated on how in his relationship with his mother, “everything was about me” – which was not the dynamic of his romantic relationships.

Green has alleged that Marcil kept him away from his son and fed the child damaging lies. On Old-ish, he claimed his absence wasn’t by choice but due to a serious case of vertigo — the kind that makes walking, talking, and co-parenting physically impossible. During this time, he says, Marcil showed no empathy and made zero effort to bridge the gap. 

Marcil, meanwhile, has publicly shared her side — that she raised their son alone. What started as a private rift has now evolved into a full-blown public saga involving podcasts, cryptic Instagram posts, and mutual digs. Green, for example, responded to her latest comments by accusing her of spreading “continued lies from a 50-year-old woman on social media like she’s still in high school.” Which is a bold thing to say on a podcast named Old-ish. Green, as previously noted, would likely prefer that Marcil handled things like his mother.

Fortunately, things are sunnier on the Megan Fox front. Per Page Six Green described his co-parenting relationship with Fox as “a breath of fresh air,” even comparing the transition from Marcil to Fox to “coming out of Vietnam.” Which is… certainly a metaphor. To his credit, Green remains consistently complimentary — even protective — of Fox, and he’s never been shy about saying so.

He’s now reportedly raising his 5th child with Dancing With the Stars co-star Sharna Burgess. No word yet on what geopolitical conflict this latest transition might resemble — maybe the Cold War? We’ll have to tune into the next episode of Old-ish for clarification.

Vertigo sounds excruciating, and Green described the recovery process as one that required relearning how to walk and talk — and nobody would downplay that. But turning your family drama into podcast content isn’t exactly a healing strategy recommended by therapists. Green was quick to call Marcil immature for venting on social media, but is plugging your grievances on a podcast really all that different?

At the end of the day, some squabbles are best handled behind closed doors. Or, at the very least, behind a paywall.

Brian Austin Green is a protective ex-husband to his ex-wife, Megan Fox. So much so that he didn’t hold back when he found out that she had broken up with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, the 51-year-old actor encountered one of TMZ’s paparazzi while out and about in Calabasas, California. During the encounter, the tabloid’s staff member asked Green what he thought of Fox’s recent split from MGK. Based on the interview video released by the outlet on the same day, Green appeared taken aback when he heard the question. At the start of the clip, he looked like he was in high spirits while walking to a parking lot with his Starbucks coffee in hand. However, his expression quickly changed after hearing the news.

“I didn’t even know,” Green told the paparazzo once he learned about Fox and MGK breaking up. TMZ’s interviewer then continued by spilling some details about the split, such as how the Transformers actress got upset after finding some “inappropriate” content on the rapper’s phone. Green let out the biggest sigh while listening to the four-one-one.

“How old is he? … He’s in his 30s, isn’t het he?” Green tried to ask calmly. But when the interviewer confirmed that the rapper was indeed 30, he quickly rolled his eyes and urged MGK — currently aged 34 — to “grow up” because his partner’s “pregnant.”

Clarifying why he was reacting this way, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said, “I just want the best for her. I want the best for the baby. I want the best for our kids. That’s a shame.”

While Fox, 38, is due to give birth to her and MGK’s child in March next year, she’s already a mom to three kids with Green — Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7. Fox and Green were married between 2010 and 2021. The actress reportedly filed for divorce just days after she and MGK made their relationship public, according to People. Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time MGK — real name Colson Baker — will welcome a child, either. He is already a father to a 15-year-old daughter, Casie, whom he shares with his ex, Emma Cannon.

After hearing the details of Fox and MGK’s split, Green commented, “That’s a damn shame. I’m heartbroken about it [because] I know she’s been so excited. [The] kids are so excited for life and the change and all of that.”

When asked what he was feeling knowing that his children also spend time with the “Rap Devil” artist, he itted that “nothing about it makes [him] feel any better.” He then concluded his statement, saying, “If that’s the case, that’s a tragic situation, and I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.”

Fox and MGK’s split is still shrouded in mystery. Reports say they broke up after the Jennifer’s Body star discovered some “suspicious” text messages from other women on the rapper’s phone. However, there’s no information yet on what the texts said.

Sources say Fox is “done” with MGK, but that she’s willing to co-parent with him. However, considering that she’s still protective of his image in not disclosing the texts, it could be a sign that there’s hope for the pair to reconcile. In February 2023, they also reportedly had a big fight after the Grammy Awards, but then they got back together a few months later.

While the remaining celebrities danced to smash hits from the year that they declared to be the most notable in their life so far, resulting in the shocking elimination of Mira Sorvino and Gleb Savchenko, the professionals (plus quite a few special guests) put on a performance that viewers will simply never ever forget.

Former head judge Len Goodman ed away in April of 2023, so to honor his life and his illustrious career, married couple Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson choreographed a group number set to “Moon River” by Henry Mancini, that was unlike anything fans have seen in the history of the beloved competition series.

Bringing together a wide range of individuals for the one-of-a-kind moment, all of the season 32 pros were a part of the dance, as well as judge Derek Hough and host Julianne Hough, in addition to quite a few familiar faces…

Legendary pros from past seasons of Dancing With The Stars returned to the ballroom for the tribute, including Kym Johnson, Anna Trebunskaya, Karina Smirnoff, Edyta Sliwinska, Tony Dovolani, Louis van Amstel, Maks Chmerkovskiy, and Mark Ballas. However, quite a few individuals were missing from the performance; Cheryl Burke, Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, and more.

One of the most notable was the one and only Sharna Burgess, a former pro who has even taken home the coveted Mirrorball trophy in the past. After being excluded from season 32 altogether, she was equally as furious that she was excluded from Goodman’s tribute as well.

While the Australia native remained quiet on social media, her fiancé and former dance partner, Brian Austin Green, put it all on the line, garnering quite a bit of backlash from Dancing With The Stars fans across the country in the process.

“I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I was for @sharnaburgess to not be invited for the tribute last night. It’s disappointing as well that none of her ‘family in the ballroom’ stuck up for her or spoke out. She’s an incredible soul and has always been a friend to everyone. She deserved better,” he wrote in a controversial Instagram post that’s since been deleted, with a caption that escalated the situation even further.

The caption reads, “She wasn’t even invited to sit in the stands and watch. Shame on that group of people. Kindness is an action, and so is love @cherylburke should have been there as well.”

Burke also expressed her disappointment after being excluded from Len Goodman’s tribute, taking to both TikTok and Instagram Threads to share her true thoughts earlier in the week.

Nonetheless, fans were not thrilled with Green’s post, accusing him of being selfish and taking away from what the moment was really all about — celebrating Len Goodman’s life and illustrious career.

“This was about LEN not who got left out of the night,” one wrote, garnering 129 likes on their comment.

“I’m sorry — I’m confused — was this a tribute to this man’s life or a display of some DWTS cliche? Whining about not being invited on a show is not the classiest way to honor someone, but my opinion means fack all. It’s just not a good look,” another shared.

“Well Sharna and Cheryl are going on a let’s bash DWTS tour… It’s not a good look. Stop pointing fingers at everyone else. Lindsay was in the audience and isn’t getting her panties in a bunch because she wasn’t a part of it. Pick your battles wisely,” dished a third, referencing the women’s respective podcasts, Old-Ish and Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans, that continuously talk negatively about the franchise – yikes!

Brian Austin Green first stole our hearts as David Silver in the couldn’t-miss-sitcom, 90210, and as a resident heartthrob and heartbreaker, we felt drawn to the character who wore his “bad guy” image like a badge of honor.

From there, Green has given us a number of characters to both love and loathe, but one thing that has remained constant is adoration from fans who have followed his journey from the very beginning. In his career through entertainment and within his personal life, he’s been open and honest about both the joys and the struggles he’s faced. When his health took a scary turn several years ago, he faced the unimaginable. Struggling with the most ordinary of tasks, Green was largely immobilized for quite some time, and had to learn several basic functions over again as if he were a child.

On a recent episode of Cheryl Burke‘s podcast, Sex, Likes and Spray Tans, Green opened up about his health conditions and what life looked like for him as he lived through them. So what medical challenges was Green facing at the time, and how did he overcome them? Let’s take a look.

What symptoms was Green having?

In his chat with Burke, Green shares that he spent four years trying to recover from strange and unusual symptoms, and in all honesty, it seemed like a confusing set of circumstances that threw him for a loop each day.

“I’d spent four and a half years recovering from stroke-like symptoms without ever having had a stroke, but I couldn’t speak. Then these neurological things started happening after the vertigo, and that was — it was four and a half years of my life. I got to the point where I shuffled like I was a 90-year-old man.”

The things happening in Green’s body didn’t make sense, and while he would eventually go on to be diagnosed with two separate conditions, those who suffer from either can attest to neither really seeming to fit what was going on in his body, either.

In addition to what was happening to Green physically, he was also experiencing changes in his mental and emotional health; being unable to properly speak, eat, read, or walk is something no otherwise- healthy adult would have been prepared for. It’s a terrifying thought, to inhabit a body that is suddenly working against you at every turn.

What was Green’s diagnosis?

Green would ultimately receive a diagnosis of vertigo and ulcerative colitis, but after being bedridden for several months, he decided to attempt to look at his health through a new lens entirely. When no doctors could help him, he decided to find one in a different specialty altogether, someone he said specialized in Eastern medicine.

“It was all undiagnosed by Western medicine, so I ended up having to finally find a doctor that is much more into, like, kinesiology and Eastern medicine.”

Green brings up one instance in particular that let him know something was wrong with his body: “I had such brain fog that I reintroduced my best friend of like 25 plus years to my sister who he had also known for 25 plus years.”

After adjusting his diet and incorporating kinesiology, he began to feel better, and could attribute many of his symptoms to stress, and severe allergies to both gluten and dairy. Having gone through a healing journey physically and receiving help from a therapist, Green is at a place in his life where he feels a deep excitement for the future, and as a newly engaged man. We’re thrilled for him.

While the list of professional dancers for season 32 of Dancing with the Stars is nothing short of spectacular, there is one name that fans of the beloved competition series were disappointed to see missing from the bunch: the one and only Sharna Burgess.

Competing on 14 seasons (and winning season 27 alongside Bobby Bones), Burgess took off one year to spend time with her newborn baby, who was born just eight weeks prior to the premiere of season 31 — why was the Dancing with the Stars legend scrapped from cast once and for all?

Why is Sharna Burgess not on season 32 of Dancing with the Stars?

While fans of the hit competition show were devastated to see that Sharna Burgess was not announced as a professional dancer on Good Morning America this morning (September 13), the 38-year-old was equally as surprised.

Last year, Burgess was slated to return to the ballroom for season 31, however, after having a child with her partner from the season prior, Brian Austin Green, plans went awry. While she was unable to compete due to her unexpected pregnancy, Burgess was expecting to take a break and return for season 32 — what happened?

On the premiere episode of her brand new podcast titled Oldish (which she co-hosts with her boyfriend and former dance partner, Brian Austin Green), Burgess revealed that being excluded from the season 32 cast came as a “huge shock” to her.

“Last season I was supposed to come back but Zane was only eight weeks old [and] It just felt like I needed to sit in motherhood with Zane… It was always within the context of ‘I want to come back next year,’ and they said, ‘Of course, we love you. We’ll always have you,’ and I did drop in and let them know, ‘It goes without saying, but I’d love to be back next season, or this season. Hopefully I’ll get to come hang out with you guys.'”

“Because it was such a shock [and] because I wasn’t expecting it, it was tough. It’s not the first time. My last five years on the show have been rocky, not because of the show. I love the show deeply, but we had a new executive producer come in, I think five years ago now. I had just won with Bobby Bones and he decided to not bring me back… There’s a lot of speculation as to why.”

It sounds like there may be more drama going on behind-the-scenes of Dancing with the Stars that viewers might not know about — yikes!

Despite the Australia native having some controversial thoughts surrounding the franchise, she will always have a special place in her heart for Dancing with the Stars nonetheless.

“Two things can be true… I can love the show and be excited for everyone, but I can also be really sad and heartbroken that I don’t get to do that this season, and I don’t know if that means I’ll never get to do it again… Who knows what is ahead of me [and] who knows if I will go back or I won’t go back next year. If the last season that I ever get to do is the season I did with Bri, that’s really freaking beautiful. There’s something stunning about the fact that I got to do my last season on a show that I love with the love of my life. He got to see a part of me. That’s a gorgeous way to go out.”

Even though Sharna Burgess will be greatly missed in the ballroom, season 32 of Dancing with the Stars is still guaranteed to be a season to .

Ever since Megan Fox openly called out ex-husband Brian Austin Green for trying to insinuate that he is “dad of the year” and she is just an absent mother in their children’s lives, the latter has kept his thoughts to himself and only came forward to praise her earlier this year while he dissed another ex. The Beverly Hills star has once again decided to defend his ex-wife by finally addressing the story that Fox “forced” their three sons — Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6 — to “wear girl clothes.”

The said claim has been made by former Congressional candidate, Robby Starbuck, who posted a picture of Megan and her kids, saying that he saw two of her sons have “full on breakdown” and they shared that they were being “forced by their mom to wear girls clothes.” 

“It’s pure child abuse. Pray for them.”

Though Fox hasn’t responded to the blatant attack, Green has called out Starbuck in a chat with TMZ for harboring ill intentions and attempting to sabotage Fox’s relationship with her children. 

“It’s a totally bogus story. There are only a few people in their world that can actually wether [sic] or not a story like this is true and I can tell you with absolute certainty it is not. This person trying to claim this is true is a perfect example of someone with selfish motives that does not care about negatively affecting a parent child relationship. 

As a society I hope we continue to push to be better. This Robby Starbuck person is full of s**t, and I have no idea who he is.”

Green’s statement seconds how the ex-couple has chosen to refrain from dictating what their children chose to wear or how they decide to express themselves. In a chat with Glamour back in 2022, Fox shared how she has incorporated certain things in her children’s lives to ensure “nobody feels like they are weird or strange or different.”

“Noah started wearing dresses when he was about two, and I bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is. Some of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want. And that doesn’t even have to have anything to do with your sexuality.”

In response to Green’s comment, Starbuck has called out TMZ for not ing him about his statement about Fox as he claims there are others who can his claim. 

It remains to be seen whether Green will be responding to Starbuck doubling down on his claim, even as the latter continues to attract doubt and backlash for leveling the allegation at Fox. 

Actor Brian Austin Green commended ex-wife Megan Fox as part of an effort to push back on former girlfriend Vanessa Marcil‘s assertion that she single-handedly raised their son Kassius.   

According to The Daily Mail, the Beverly Hills 90201 alum took issue with an exchange between Marcil and a fan, who asked if she found co-parenting challenging. Marcil posted a photo of herself with a childhood photo of Kassius on her Instagram stories, along with a co-parenting resource.

“We didn’t and don’t co-parent. I raised my son alone.”

Green took a screenshot of Marcil’s post, heaped scathing criticism on Marcil while exalting the virtues of Fox:

“So, I can’t tell you all how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+-year-old woman on social media like she is still in high school. She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk. Talk is cheap. Megan and I bust [sic] our * to give Kass a well-rounded childhood since his mom was rarely there. I’m assuming that’s why she posts so much of him now. When will she just GO AWAY.”

Interestingly, Green felt compelled to steamroll over Marcil’s recollection with his narrative of events. It is not the first time he’s tried to frame a former partner as an inadequate parent. Ironically, Fox was the target of his criticism in 2020. However, she openly called out his behavior on Instagram, accusing him of using a photo of their son Journey to exaggerate his presence in their children’s lives and influence the public’s perception of him. Per People, Fox wrote in his Instagram comments:

Green and Fox eventually resolved the issue privately, and he removed the photo of their son from his social media .

Marcil showed solidarity with Fox in an Instagram post on November 1, 2020, which she captioned, “Like I said…The Truth always comes out in the end.”

Green has five children: Kassius, 20, with Marcil; Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, with Fox; and Zane, with his current partner, Sharna Burgess.

Praising one person to make another feel inferior is not helpful. Co-parenting is not a competition. It is about working together to the healthy development of children in an environment of respect and kindness. Hopefully, the parties will resolve their issues and find peace.

Well, it’s the end of an era. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are officially divorced. According to TMZ, a California judge signed off on the former couple’s final divorce settlement on Tuesday after they came to an agreement back in October.

The settlement comes just a month after Fox became engaged to Machine Gun Kelly by drinking each other’s blood. In true romantic fashion, Kelly proposed with a ring designed with thorns, so it physically hurts to remove it.

Fox and Green share three sons, Noah Shannon (born 2012), Bodhi Ransom (born 2014), and Journey River (born 2016), with who they’ve agreed to share t legal and physical custody. Sources also claim that the pair did not have a prenup, which means that anything they acquired during their nearly 10-year marriage would be split 50/50, according to California law.

Fox first met Green on the set of the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith in 2004 when she was 18 years old, and he was 30. The on-again, off-again couple became engaged in Nov. 2006 and ended their engagement in Feb. 2009 — only to get married a year later on June 24, 2010.

Fox first filed for divorce on Aug. 21, 2015, but by early 2016, the couple was back together and expecting their third child, and Fox later filed to dismiss the divorce on April 25, 2019. Finally, in May of 2020, Green announced that he and Fox had separated after nearly 10 years of marriage, saying at the time that the two had simply grown apart.

However, Fox is not the only one who has moved on. Green is currently expecting his fifth child with his season 30 Dancing with the Stars partner Sharna Burgess — including the 20-year-old son he shares with his former 90210 co-star Vanessa Marcil.

There’s probably a lesson to be learned from all this, which is to say that women who work with Brian Austin Green tend to find themselves pregnant. Not bad, David Silver.
