Here’s the thing about modern moviegoing: everyone likes to complain that no good movies are being made anymore, when in reality fantastic films come out every other day that simply require a bit of effort to access. 3kk4k

But it’s still nevertheless depressing that these fantastic films aren’t more broadly embraced by movie theaters, and end up buried for committing no more heinous a crime than not featuring the Minions or satisfying the nostalgic ego of its audiences. Juror #2 was found guilty of these charges by the Warner Bros. overlords, and Max viewers are now picking up the forced slack in hopes of giving Clint Eastwood’s potential swansong the attention it deserves.

Per FlixPatrol, Juror #2 continues to enjoy itself at the top of the United States’ Max film charts at the time of writing, utilizing its robust drama to keep the likes of a second-place Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and a third-place Joker: Folie à Deux at bay.

Directed and produced by Clint Eastwood, Juror #2 stars Nicholas Hoult as Justin Kemp, a man who regrettably gets called up for jury duty in the middle of his wife’s high-risk pregnancy. The case is one of James Sythe, who’s on trial for the alleged murder of his girlfriend Kendall Carter after a none-too-pleasant fight at a local bar. This bar, being the one that Justin drove home from the night of the murder, and the night of that murder being one where Justin accidentally hit a deer that might not have been a deer. Quel scandale!

To speak of Juror #2 is to accept the fact that you will never unpack it in full. There’s nothing glamorous or indulgent about Eastwood’s direction; every decision he makes and every performance he gets out of his top-notch cast is entirely in service to the most sobering possible reflection on the American justice system.

And within that, the nonagenarian screen legend strikes a devastatingly humanist chord with all the dilemmas faced by the likes of Justin, his peers, his superiors, and the lives that are in his hands. The film ostensibly declares that justice isn’t real, but also more accurately suggests that justice is often so ugly that calling it as such fills us with existential dread. We are all, after all, just trying to do the right thing while staving off our own fundamentally restless conscience, as well as that of a public who must consume tragedy and its gerrymandered resolution to distract from their own emptiness.

To put it simply, Juror #2 is not an easy watch, and unfortunately, easy watches are what’s “in” right now. Indeed, it’s perhaps no wonder that Eastwood’s latest was unceremoniously kicked to the curb when we’re living in the advent of streaming films designed to be understood while you’re looking at your phone. And yet, Eastwood seems to believe that we can all rise to the occasion, and that counts for something.

Is Clint Eastwood's likely final movie worthy of his brilliant Hollywood career?]]>
<![CDATA[

At 94 years old, Clint Eastwood remains one of Hollywood’s powerhouses, with almost seven decades of service in the industry and more than 40 movies as director. Yet Juror #2 proves Eastwood still has more to contribute, as his latest film is his best in decades.

Juror #2 follows Nicholas Hoult as Justin Kemp, a working-class magazine writer summoned to fulfill jury duty in a homicide case. Justin has a wife at home (Zoey Deutch) in the last month of a risky pregnancy, which means the last thing he wants is to get stuck in a courtroom all day long. However, as soon as the trial begins, Justin comes to a terrifying realization: the defendant is innocent, contrary to what everyone believes. Furthermore, Justin is likely responsible for the gruesome death at the center of the trial.

Right off the bat, there’s no denying Juror #2 has a killer concept. However, a good premise is not enough to build a movie, as Eastwood showed with Hereafter. Fortunately, the director is back to his best form in Juror #2, a homage to the courtroom dramas of the 1990s that subverts expectations by offering a refreshing shift in perspective.

By now, everyone knows what to expect from an Eastwood movie, and Juror #2 doesn’t reinvent the wheel. This is a character-driven drama primarily concerned with its main character’s moral struggles. Plus, Eastwood shoots Juror #2 without much flair, allowing the story to follow a linear path and keep the focus on the emotional nuances of the people involved with the unusual trial. Thanks to Jonathan Abrams’ tight script, this is enough to set the scene for a tense and thrilling journey through the entrails of the Justice system.

The main appeal of Juror #2 is how it refuses to reduce its cast to heroic or villainous positions. On one side, we have Justin, a typical good man who cares for his wife and wants to build a loving family with his child. Yet, while driving on a stormy night, Justin hit something he thought was a deer, but might have been a woman. So, what should he do? Turn himself in and destroy his family? Or just convince the other jury of the defendant’s innocence so he won’t be responsible for sending an innocent man to prison?

Then, there’s the defendant, James Michael Sythe (Gabriel Basso), your typical abusive boyfriend, prone to rage outbursts and with a lengthy criminal record. James is not a good person by any metric, which means it’s easy to find him guilty of murder after a lover’s quarrel, regardless of whether he did it. However, should James pay for a crime he didn’t commit, even though he has slipped through the Justice’s fingers for previous offenses? Is his life worth less than Justin’s due to his past mistakes, or is the Truth (with capital “T”) still the ultimate goal of Justice?

Toni Collette in Clint Eastwood's Jury #2
Image via Warner Bros. Discovery

For its entire runtime, the movie forces the audience to absorb the emotional turmoil of these two men. It feels wrong to let James pay the price for someone else’s mistake. At the same time, it’s impossible to be impartial when it comes to Justin, a fervent believer in second chances who finds himself in an impossible spot.

What’s worse, Juror #2 confronts the viewer with the awful reality of the young Kendall Carter’s (sca Eastwood) ultimately death. It’s obvious her family deserves closure, and someone should be punished for her death. But no verdict can change the reality of what happened, so is it worth destroying someone else’s life, especially when the whole affair is caused by an accident with no ill intent? These are not easy questions, and Juror #2 doesn’t offer easy answers.

While Juror #2 navigates the imperfections of the U.S. justice system, Abrams’ script doesn’t take the easy out of stating that nothing works and there’s no hope. As the movie underlines, even if the system is flawed, it’s still the best we have. In fact, the story reiterates how the errors emerging from the investigation and trial processes usually derive from the lack of resources. After all, human error becomes more frequent when every team handling an investigation, prosecution, and defense is understaffed and overworked. As such, Juror #2 doubles as a cautionary tale about the need to the people working for a fair justice system.

To hammer this point down, Juror #2 brings out the big guns and gives Chris Messina and Toni Collette delicious ing roles. Messina is a public defendant who knows his clients are often criminals. Still, in the case of James, he’s willing to push himself to get an absolution because he wholeheartedly believes in his client’s innocence. As for Collette’s character, she’s a prosecutor running for the DA office who knows a court victory will get her the votes she needs to win the election. So, when things start to look fishy, she’s torn between her political aspirations and her oath to fight for justice. Messina and Collette are often scene-stealers, showing there’s a reason to bet on star-studded dramas.

Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette in Clint Eastwood's Jury #2

Of course, the performance tying everything together is that of Hoult. Hoult has demonstrated remarkable range since his breakthrough role in 2002’s About a Boy. He elevates lackluster blockbusters such as Renfield and Tolkien, and shines in projects such as Equals and Mad Max: Fury Road. So, with such a diverse portfolio to draw from, Hoult builds an extremely sympathetic version of Justin, a man struggling with the hardest decisions of his life, torn between survival and a clean conscience. It’s a pleasure watching Hoult slowly unravel as he wrestles with the contradictory things his heart and brain demand of him.

That said, editing is one of the worst aspects of Juror #2. While Eastwood likes to keep things simple, the flashbacks the trial demands often lead to cuts that feel too quick and sudden for the pacing’s sake. At the same time, the movie can feel sluggish in its middle section, as Juror #2 lingers far too long on the least exciting aspect of its plot. The drama is still thrilling, but it’s easy to see there’s a better movie to be done with another through the cutting room.

Ultimately, Juror #2 is not up to Eastwood’s classics, such as Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, or Gran Torino. Yet, this is the director’s best movie since at least 2014’s American Sniper – and arguably since 2009’s Invictus. Given that this might be Eastwood’s final movie, that’s a little disappointing. However, Juror #2 is an obvious improvement from the director’s most recent work, and a worthy farewell.

Client Eastwood's love life is worth a Hollywood movie.]]>
<![CDATA[

Clint Eastwood‘s romantic journey has been as varied and eventful as his illustrious career. Each partnership significantly shaped the man behind the legend, from his long-standing first marriage to his final relationship with Christina Sandera.

The early years: Maggie Johnson 96n30

Eastwood’s first significant relationship was with Maggie Johnson, whom he met in 1953. Their romance blossomed quickly, leading to marriage just months after their initial encounter.

Johnson, a model at the time, became Eastwood’s anchor during his early years in Hollywood. Their union lasted for over three decades, during which they had two children, Kyle and Alison. However, their marriage was far from conventional. Eastwood’s rising stardom and numerous affairs strained their relationship. Despite the challenges, Johnson remained a constant presence in Eastwood’s life, even after their separation in 1978 and subsequent divorce in 1984.

The controversial years: Sondra Locke 66x1a

While still married to Johnson, Eastwood began a tumultuous relationship with actress Sondra Locke in 1975. Their partnership, both on and off-screen, lasted for 14 years and resulted in several successful films. However, their relationship was marred by controversy and legal battles that would continue long after their separation.

Their affair ultimately led to the dissolution of Eastwood’s marriage to Johnson. The end of their relationship was equally dramatic, with Locke filing not one, but two major lawsuits against Eastwood.

In 1989, when their relationship ended, Locke filed a palimony lawsuit against Eastwood. The case was settled out of court in 1990, with Eastwood agreeing to set up a $1.5 million development and directing deal for Locke at Warner Bros., the studio he frequently worked with. However, this settlement would later become the basis for an even more contentious legal battle. In 1995, Locke sued Eastwood again, this time for fraud. The lawsuit alleged that the Warner Bros. deal was essentially a sham, orchestrated by Eastwood to get her to drop the original palimony suit.

Locke’s fraud lawsuit against Eastwood was based on several damning allegations. She claimed that Eastwood had not only compensated Warner Bros. to keep her out of work but had actively sabotaged her career prospects. This accusation painted a picture of the actor using his considerable influence in Hollywood to blacklist his former partner effectively. Eastwood, for his part, dismissed Locke’s claims as a “dime-novel plot” during his testimony. However, the case was eventually settled out of court, with Locke reportedly receiving a substantial sum, though the exact amount was not disclosed.

A brief interlude: s Fisher j4i4j

In the late 1980s, Eastwood found himself drawn to actress s Fisher. Their relationship, though short-lived, resulted in the birth of their daughter, sca, in 1993. Fisher described their initial meeting as “love at first sight,” but their romance was not destined to last.

The end of their relationship was attributed to Eastwood’s infidelity, particularly his ongoing affair with Jacelyn Reeves while still involved with Fisher. However, both Fisher and Eastwood have maintained a cordial relationship since their split, especially for the sake of their daughter sca.

The second marriage: Dina Ruiz 4c4a5f

Eastwood’s second marriage was to news anchor Dina Ruiz in 1996. Despite the 35-year age gap, the couple seemed to have found happiness together. They welcomed a daughter, Morgan, and Ruiz even appeared in cameo roles in some of Eastwood’s films. Their relationship garnered significant media attention, partly due to the reality show “Mrs. Eastwood & Company,” which featured Dina and their daughter.

After 17 years of marriage, the couple separated in 2013, with both parties moving on to new relationships. Dina began dating Scott Fisher, a childhood friend, while Clint started a fleeting relationship with Erica Tomlinson-Fisher, Scott’s ex-wife.

The latest chapter: Christina Sandera 2bqc

In his later years, Eastwood found companionship with Christina Sandera. The couple met in 2014 when Sandera was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel. Despite keeping their relationship relatively private, they made several public appearances together, including at the 2015 Academy Awards. Sandera was warmly embraced by Eastwood’s family, who often ed them at events and celebrations.

Their relationship seemed to bring a sense of calm to Eastwood’s personal life, with the actor preferring to maintain a low profile in their shared home in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Tragically, Christina Sandera ed away on July 19, 2024, marking the end of Eastwood’s last known romantic relationship. Eastwood described her as “a lovely, caring woman” and expressed that he would miss her very much.

It’s a great time to be alive! We have all of the world’s information at our fingertips. We have the Wendy’s Frosty. We have the ability to summon food with an app the way a witch can summon a friendly demon. We also have movies! Movies of all kinds, endless amounts of movies, more than 20 genres and hundreds of subgenres. Enough movies to last us a lifetime if you tried to watch them all back to back, which can be overwhelming. That’s what we’re here for, to help with the conundrum of what country movie you should be watching. That’s why we’ve listed the 11 best country movies of all time.

How does one describe a “country movie" allowfullscreen>

Based on a phenomenal novel by the late Cormac McCarthy, No Country for Old Men tells the story of Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin), a war veteran who randomly discovers the aftermath of a drug deal gone deadly and a briefcase full of cash. He takes the money and ends up being hunted by a merciless assassin (Javier Bardem) who was hired to get the money back. It’s full of surprising twists and turns, and it seeps with a poetic realism that’s simultaneously hauntingly beautiful and terrifying.

There are few names as synonymous with Westerns as Clint Eastwood. The cowboy icon has been a staple of the genre since his television breakout in the 1959 Western Rawhide. By the time the series ended in 1965, Eastwood was headed for international stardom.

He was tapped for a slew of spaghetti westerns during the 1960s and ‘70s and came to embody the stoic antihero. By the ‘80s, Eastwood began experimenting with his own directorial style and branched out from his bread and garlic-butter origins to tackle comedic takes on his preferred genre.

All of Clint Eastwood’s Westerns, in chronological order 66c2f

Eastwood has decades of westerns under his belt. After all this time, the actor has tried his hand at several variations of the genre. If you’re just looking to see all of his Westerns in order, read no further than the list below. If you’re looking for a specific kind of movie, keep reading for a comprehensive breakdown of everything from Neo-Westerns to musical comedies set in the Old West.

 • The First Traveling Saleslady (1956)
 • Star in the Dust (1956)
 • Ambush at Cimarron (1958)
 • A Fistful of Dollars (1964)

 • The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)
 • Hang ‘Em High (1968)
 • Paint Your Wagon (1969)
 • Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970)
 • The Beguiled (1971)
 • Joe Kidd (1972)
 • High Plains Drifter (1973)
 • The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)
 • Bronco Billy (1980)
 • Honkytonk Man (1982)
 • Pale Rider (1985)
 • Unforgiven (1992)
 • Cry Macho (2021)

Clint Eastwood spaghetti Westerns 4e6r7

Eastwoods early projects were mostly American-made, but his most iconic role was in spaghetti westerns. A subgenre of Western films mostly financed by Italians and filmed across Europe, Texas, or Arizona to reduce costs. Their foreign production meant that the films weren’t subjected to the Hays Code, which allowed them to be grittier, more violent, and less patriotic.

The Dollars Trilogy, or The Man with no Name Trilogy starring Eastwood and directed by Sergio Leone is considered one of the most influential Western series ever made – even if Leone never intended for the films to be connected.

 • A Fistful of Dollars (1964)
 • For a Few Dollars More (1965)
 • The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1966)

Clint Eastwood’s classic Westerns 421q3f

The following films might not be as famous as Eastwood’s spaghetti Western classics, but they have all that Western appeal.

 • Star in the Dust (1956)
 • Ambush at Cimarron (1958)
 • Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970)
 • The Beguiled (1971)
 • Joe Kidd (1972)
 • High Plains Drifter (1973)
 • Pale Rider (1985)
 • Unforgiven (1992)

Clint Eastwood’s Revisionist Westerns 45h6n

Revisionist Westerns don’t necessarily play with historical facts. Instead, they tend to take that romanticized notion of the Old West and subvert it. This mostly comes out through nuanced characters with morally grey motives, similar to the spaghetti Westerns that made him famous.

 • Hang ‘Em High (1968)
 • The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976)

Clint Eastwood’s Neo-Western 365e51

If you’re looking for a modern twist on an old classic, Eastwood is here to deliver. Cry-Macho is a neo-western meaning it’s got those old west sensibilities in a modern setting, and of course, more grit than sandpaper.

 • Cry Macho (2021)

Clint Eastwood’s Comedic and Musical Westerns 6c313

The following movies don’t quite fit Eastwood’s gritty, antihero Western flair, but they have plenty to offer. Its obvious that Eastwood knows his way around a revolver, but did you know he’s not bad with a microphone either? The following Westerns offer everything the genre is known for like jailbreaks, cowboys with tuberculosis, and shootouts with the bonus of classic country songs.

 • The First Traveling Saleslady (1956)
 • Paint Your Wagon (1969)
 • Bronco Billy (1980)
 • Honkytonk Man (1982)

Dare we say, the most iconic couple ever?]]>
<![CDATA[

Barbra Streisand is a powerhouse. With a name synonymous with excellence in the world of musical theatre, we’ve seen her create the icon that is Fanny Brice in Funny Girl — and as much as we love Lea Michele, Barbra is just irreplaceable. With a career as longstanding as hers, it’s no surprise that she has had her fair share of love stories, each more spellbinding than her last.

However, she has only taken the walk down the aisle twice, ultimately finding her soulmate on the second attempt. Naturally, someone of Barbra’s caliber could only settle down with individuals as talented as her and of course, someone who would never rain on her parade. So, if you’ve ever wondered who managed to tug at the heartstrings of the one and only Streisand, keep reading.

Is Barbra Streisand married? 1n1e3s

Barbra Streisand has been married to James Brolin since 1998. In case you’ve been living under a rock, yes, I’m talking about James Brolin from Westworld, Castle, Lightyear, and Stuart Rosenberg’s The Amityville Horror. The duo exchanged vows 25 years ago, marking Streisand’s second marriage and Brolin’s third. Though they didn’t have children together, they both had kids from previous marriages.

Brolin is two years older than Streisand, and the couple’s paths crossed in 1996 through a mutual friend. “We were set up on a blind date,” Streisand revealed on The Tonight Show, “and I was so shy that I came into the house and I went downstairs to be with the children and play with them until I had to sit down at the table.” Their immediate connection blossomed into romance two years later when they decided to tie the knot.

The couple immediately knew it was love for life because, during his wedding vows, Brolin swayed fans with the words, “I can’t tell you how lucky I am that this would happen to me so late in life. Every night is a new adventure. Sleeping is a waste of time. I can’t wait to see her again in the morning.” Ladies, do not settle for less.

Before marrying Brolin, however, Barbra was married to Elliot Gould from 1963 until 1971. Despite being separated for two years before their divorce, the duo remains amicable, sharing one son — the actor Jason Gould. However, between Streisand’s two marriages, the Broadway icon was romantically linked to several other high-profile celebrities and even politicians, including the 15th Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, and actors Richard Gere, Clint Eastwood, and Liam Neeson.

What a legend.

The Man With No Name has been trending for all the wrong reasons.]]>
<![CDATA[

You should be feeling lucky if you’re a Clint Eastwood fan, because the rumors that the beloved actor has died turned out to be false. However, how did this rumor begin? And what is the ing evidence that he is still alive?

The legendary 93-year-old has won multiple filmmaking Oscars over the years, including two Best Picture and two Best Director awards for 1993’s Unforgiven and 2005’s Million Dollar Baby. Ever since his breakout starring performance as the Man With No Name as part of Sergio Leone’s series of Spaghetti Westerns, the Dollars trilogy, which culminated in the 1966 classic The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Eastwood went from being a TV star on Rawhide to a household name.

Even at his advanced age, Eastwood has starred in and directed a number of fairly well-received films pretty consistently, such as Gran Turino, The Mule, and, most recently, 2021’s Cry Macho. However, despite staying pretty active, rumors about his death have popped up periodically over the years. With that said, Eastwood is reportedly looking to his retirement with a forthcoming final film planned for Warner Bros.

Clint Eastwood’s death hoax, explained 1w176b

The latest false claim about Eastwood’s death originates from a video ed to the YouTube channel Military News titled “5 Minutes Ago / Clint Eastwood Died on the way to the hospital / Goodbye Clint Eastwood,” according to Snopes (via Yahoo! Entertainment). The article rated the claim about Eastwood’s death as “false.” Military News has a reputation for publishing other death hoax videos, such as ones about actor Denzel Washington and singer Randy Travis in this past week alone.

Outside of that, though, no other reputable news outlet has independently verified Eastwood’s supposed death, with The Associated Press being completely absent of any obituary on their site as would be expected if this information was true. With no other corroborating article out there from an outlet known to be reliable, we can safely assume this information is not true.

Another website, MediaMass, also posted an article claiming Eastwood died. However, the website describes itself as satire so it’s clearly not meant to be taken as a factual source.

In of what’s next for Eastwood, the rumored title for his forthcoming final film and 40th directorial effort is Juror #2. However, no release date or timeframe has been announced for the movie.

'Night Agent' star Gabriel Basso may have been cast in Clint Eastwood's final film, 'Juror #2.' Find out who he's playing.]]>
<![CDATA[

Working with a director like Clint Eastwood is a sign that one’s career is thriving. Gabriel Basso has been getting lots of attention thanks to his acclaimed performance in the Netflix series The Night Agent, and now he’s managed to up the ante by landing a crucial role in Eastwood’s next (and reportedly final) project, Juror #2

According to Deadline, Juror #2 will chronicle the struggles of Justin Kemp, a family man who winds up serving as a juror on a high-profile murder case. The further he wades into the case, however, the more he’s forced to confront a moral dilemma that could sway the verdict and convict the wrong person. Nicholas Hoult has been tapped to play Kemp, and Basso will play the man on trial for his life.

Basso is no stranger to high-profile films, having appeared in the science fiction blockbuster Super 8 (2011) and the controversial drama Hillbilly Elegy (2022), but Juror #2 marks the first time he will appear in a film since achieving widespread fame. The Night Agent was a surprise hit for Netflix, debuting as the platform’s third most-watched series ever. It currently ranks as the fifth most popular English-language series in Netflix history, and has clocked an astonishing 600 million hours watched since it debuted in March.

A big part of the show’s appeal was Basso’s performance in the titular role. As an FBI agent thrown into an unraveling conspiracy of blackmail and murder, the actor managed to command the screen while at the same time communicating a very real sense of desperation. The Night Agent has already been renewed for a second season, and Basso’s increased profile is likely going to draw in even more viewers.

Basso may be fielding great offers today, but this wasn’t always the case. When the actor appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he revealed that he actually quit acting for several years before deciding to return with a renewed outlook.

“Everything sort of felt like a pseudo-experience to me,” Basso said during his interview. “As a kid where [you’re told], oh, you can be the fighter, and not actually hit anybody or know what it’s like to get hit, it just felt very fake. So I quit because I didn’t want to be depressed… And now I’m back.”

Basso will have his work cut out for him, dramatically speaking. In addition to being directed by Eastwood, one of the most revered genre filmmakers of all time, he will be going up against Oscar nominees like Toni Collette and fellow rising stars like Zoey Deutch and the aforementioned Hoult.

Juror #2 will also mark the final directorial effort by Eastwood before he retires, which means there will be plenty of eyes on the film come awards season. It’s not out of the question to suggest that Basso could earn some Oscar or Golden Globe buzz if he makes the most out of his time on screen. Either way, it’s a step in the right direction for his fledgling career.

Apparently, it's never too late. ]]>
<![CDATA[

What is the ideal age for becoming a parent? Well, if you ask some of the most renowned celebrities, they’ll tell you that there’s no such thing as being too old to be a dad. Whether their bundles of joy were meticulously planned or delightful surprises, these stars have welcomed children into their lives perhaps a bit later than the average Joe. After all, just look at Robert DeNiro, who just welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79.

We won’t delve into the ethical considerations of having a significantly younger partner to carry the full term or the complexities associated with being an older parent, or else this article would never end. Ultimately, what truly matters is that children are raised in an environment filled with love and happiness, regardless of how they’re brought into this world. On that note, here are some of the oldest celebrity dads in Hollywood.

Unsurprisingly, at the top of our list is the legendary Robert DeNiro. The veteran American actor, renowned for his remarkable contributions to Hollywood, recently celebrated the arrival of his seventh child with his current girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. DeNiro himself has confirmed that the addition to their family was a carefully planned decision, rather than an unexpected surprise. This new bundle of joy s DeNiro’s other children from his previous relationships with Diahnne Abbott, Toukie Smith, and Grace Hightower.

The former Beatles alum has also welcomed a daughter at the age of 61. Having already raised four children with his late wife Linda McCartney, including one adopted from Linda’s previous marriage. Sir Paul McCartney joyfully welcomed his fifth child in 2003. The birth came as a result of his marriage to Heather Mills, who was 34 years old at the time of their marriage in 2002. Despite the significant age difference between them, the couple gleefully celebrated the arrival of a new life.

Sir Elton John also belongs to the list of seasoned fathers in the entertainment landscape. The musician, known for bringing some of the most monumental songs to our playlists, fulfilled his wish to be a father at the age of 63. In 2010, John and his longtime partner, David Furnish, welcomed their first baby boy via surrogate. Three years later, the pair once again welcomed another child to their family, also via surrogate.

George Lucas, the ingenious and imaginative mind behind the iconic Star Wars universe, may come as a surprise addition to this list. However, it’s true that Lucas became a father for the last time in 2013, when he was 69 years old. His journey of fatherhood began in 1981, at the age of 37, with the birth of his first daughter. Over the years, Lucas welcomed two more children during the ’80s and ’90s. His youngest daughter, Everest, was born as a result of his marriage to American businesswoman Mellody Hobson, who was 43 at the time.

Born in 1930, Clint Eastwood is probably the oldest celebrity dad on our list, but his last child was actually welcomed when the experienced actor was ‘just’ 63 years old. Although the actor never disclosed his number of children, it is believed that Eastwood is now a father to eight children, from six different links. Welcoming his first child at the age of 34 in 1954, it wouldn’t be until 30 years later that The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly actor would introduce his last kid to the world, in 1996.

Rod Stewart 1gd6m

Adding to the extensive roster of musicians with large families, Rod Stewart proudly embraced fatherhood with a total of eight children, whom he welcomed into the world spanning from the age of 17 to 66. The oldest of his children was born in 1962, whereas his youngest was born half a century later, in 2011. With a harmonious mix of four daughters and four sons, Stewart’s blended family was formed through his relationships with five past partners, and despite most being half-siblings, Stewart assures he cares for all of his children.

For a long time, Charlie Chaplin held the title of the oldest Hollywood father. The actor known for revolutionizing the world of silent cinema in the 1920s welcomed his first son in 1919, at the age of 30. Resulting of his last marriage with Oona O’Neill, Chaplin’s youngest child would be born in 1962 when the actor had just celebrated his 73rd birthday. Sadly, his youngest kin would only meet his father for 15 years, before the actor ed away in 1977 at age 88.

The “Piano Man” himself became a dad for the last time at age 71. Already a dad to two children, Alexa Ray and Della Rose, Billy Joel’s life improved for the best with the birth of his youngest daughter Remy Anne in 2017. Born from his marriage to Alexis Roderick, who was 35 at the time, the newest addition to the family was welcomed with open arms by Joel, and his eldest children from his previous marriages.

Mick Jagger 1g496u

Before DeNiro came along, the oldest celebrity dad title belonged to none other than Mick Jagger, who became a dad for the last time at the age of 73. In 2016, the frontman of the Rolling Stones welcomed his eighth child, a son, to his expanding family. Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger was born from the rock star’s relationship with Melanie Hamrick, who was only 29 years old at the time. It’s safe to say no one’s got the moves like Jagger.

Steve Martin 2o6w1m

While everyone surely knows him as one of the founding fathers of the current comedic scene, Steve Martin became a surprising addition to this list when he welcomed his first child at the age of 67. In almost poetic justice, the Parenthood actor entered fatherhood with the birth of Mary Martin, resulting from his marriage with Anne Stringfield, with whom the comedian and actor has been married to since 2007.

Jeff Goldblum 1c1k6a

Despite his youthful appearance, Jeff Goldblum embarked on his journey into parenthood at the age of 62. In 2014, he and his wife, Emilie Livingston, welcomed their first children, River Joe and Charlie Ocean, into their lives. Emilie was 32 years old at the time. Now, at the age of 70, Goldblum proudly embraces the experience of being a parent to young children, expressing his love and joy for the role he plays in their lives.

Alec Baldwin 1k5168

Alec Baldwin wholeheartedly embraced the joys of parenthood in his 60s. While he already had a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his first marriage to Kim Basinger, the American actor welcomed another child into his life at the age of 62 with his current wife, Hilaria. And that was just the beginning, as they went on to expand their family six more times. Their youngest daughter, Ilaria Catalina Irena, was born in 2022 when Baldwin was 64 and Hilaria was 38. Together, they are proud parents to six children, in addition to Baldwin’s eldest daughter.

Ultimately, what truly matters is that every child is born into a nurturing and loving environment that enables them to thrive and feel ed by their family. Above all, we sincerely wish for their well-being and happiness in this world.

Truly the end of a remarkable era, if this ends up being the case.]]>
<![CDATA[

As the age-old saying goes, all good things must come to an end – and this may soon ring true for Clint Eastwood’s long and storied Hollywood career, with reports offering that the actor and director may be getting ready to direct one final film before retiring.

Eastwood, 92, is said to be in early talks with Warner Bros. to take a seat in the director’s chair for what is internally being billed as the actor’s swansong, sources tell DiscussingFilm. Given his age, it’s impressive he’s stayed active in the industry for as long as he has. Eastwood’s potentially last project is a thriller tentatively titled Juror #2, in which a juror on a murder case slowly comes to realize they may or may not have caused the victim’s death.

In a career spanning over 60 years, Eastwood has well and truly made his mark on the film industry. From the various Westerns he starred in throughout the latter half of the 20th century, to his phenomenal directorial efforts on Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby (which netted him four Academy Awards, scoring Best Director and Best Picture for both), he has truly been a force to be reckoned with.

If the yet-to-be-announced film will truly be Clint Eastwood’s grand finale, we’re expecting him to be giving it his absolute all to go out with a bang. Not that he has any obligation to, considering the sheer amount of top-shelf classics he has been involved with

The movie became Eastwood's highest-grossing film of his long career. ]]>
<![CDATA[

Clint Eastwood‘s last few cinematic efforts have underperformed at the box office over the last few years, but one of his biggest successes is dominating the latest ratings on the HBO top 10, enjoying a new round of post-pandemic success on the platform for the first time since it’s 2014 release. But even though the movie has enjoyed and is enjoying a confirmed track record of success, it is inarguably one of the most controversial movies in the acclaimed director’s filmography.

According to Flix Patrol, Eastwood’s American Sniper hit number one on the HBO Top 10 on August 30th and has remained in the top five in the following days. The success mirrors the reception of the film upon its release, when it dominated the box office and became Eastwood’s highest-grossing film to date.

Warner Bros.

It’s been nearly eight years since Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper premiered. His adaptation of United States Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle’s memoir of the same name would prove to be one of the most successful of Eastwood’s career and one of the highest-grossing war films of all time. But it would also serve as a source of controversy for the veteran director. Although many considered the topic matter to be a moving exploration of Kyle’s life as well as the PTSD he suffered from following his tours of duty, many others considered the film to be jingoistic, reducing the moral complexities of the Iraq War to a simplistic black-and-white struggle.

Kyle himself also became a source of controversy, especially after his estate (Kyle was murdered in 2013) lost a defamation suit filed by former Governor of Minnesota and ex-Navy SEAL Jesse Ventura after Kyle alleged in a 2012 radio interview that a character in his memoir that he fought and punched out was Ventura. Others also came forward alleging that many of Kyle’s claims in his memoir were exaggerated. Kyle claimed to have made 320 kills throughout his career, but the Navy only recorded 160 (that were able to be confirmed). Several other incidents recounted in the book, including one in which Kyle claims to have traveled to New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and shot alleged “looters” while atop the Superdome, were deemed highly unlikely.

Regardless of any fabrication, Kyle was a highly decorated veteran and was awarded four bronze stars as well as a silver star for gallantry. American Sniper was nominated for six Academy Awards, including nods for Bradley Cooper, who portrayed Kyle in the film, Eastwood for Best Director, and Best Picture. The film won the award for Best Sound Editing.
