Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, have always been very close. It seems like that strong bond is still a big part of their family life today. Even as adults (now 36, 33, and 31 years old), they keep up some unusual traditions from their childhood, like taking baths together.

Rumer recently talked about this on the What in the Winkler?! podcast. While some people might find this habit surprising, Rumer claims it is just how unique their family dynamic is. It is something that grew out of their parents’ successful co-parenting after their divorce.

As found by USMagazine, during the podcast, Rumer also talked about other parts of their close family life. She mentioned that she still shares a bed with her mom, Demi Moore, as well as with her own toddler, Louetta, who is almost two years old. Rumor said, “Honestly, I hope [my daughter] will, like, still sleep in bed with me when she’s my age… I still sleep in bed with my mom, and I don’t think it’s weird.” This is completely normal to Rumer because it’s how she was raised.

This relaxed and loving family atmosphere comes from the way Bruce and Demi handled their split back in 1998. You needn’t have a master’s degree in Hollywood to know that it loves to pit women against each other, but any rumored feud between Mikey Madison and Demi Moore after the Oscars has been promptly squashed. 

The two actresses were duking it out for the Best Actress prize at the 97th Academy Awards this week, with Madison’s role in Anora pulling a major upset over Moore, who was considered the frontrunner with a pre-Oscars awards sweep for her performance in The Substance. Naturally, Moore’s loss was the stuff of tabloid fodder as reports claimed she was left defeated after Madison’s win, but the reality of the situation was far less pulpy — at least according to a text exchange recalled by Madison.

“I texted with Demi, who I adore,” the actress told The Hollywood Reporter. “She’s one of the sweetest, kindest women I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful that I was able to meet her and witness her brilliance and talent in person.” Concluding the message, Madison said she “can’t wait to see what [Moore] does next,” adding that “we’re all so ready and excited to see that.” While that alone might’ve been enough to quiet any chatter about a supposed beef, Moore doubled down on the friendly sentiment with a message of her own. 

“A huge congratulations to [Mikey Madison] — can’t wait to see what you do next,” the actress wrote in a post-Oscars Instagram message. “I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude for this journey. It’s been the ride of a lifetime and we’re just getting started!” It seems the excitement both actresses share for their respective futures is well-placed since Madison is reportedly being eyed by both Greta Gewrig and Colleen Hoover for future projects. For her part, Moore is set to appear in director Boots Riley’s I Love Boosters, alongside an A-list ensemble that also includes Keke Palmer and LaKeith Stanfield. 

Madison’s Anora glory was one of multiple surprise wins collected by the film at this year’s Oscars. The movie — which follows a sex worker who falls for one of her clients — also went home with Best Director for Sean Baker, as well as the ceremony’s biggest prize of all: Best Picture. More broadly, the 97th Academy Awards delivered an array of buzzy moments, from the mesmerising Wicked medley performed by nominees Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo to Nick Offerman’s scene-stealing turn as the ceremony’s announcer. 

Elsewhere, Doja Cat bit back at critics of her performance during the show’s James Bond tribute, while fans discussed the crowd’s seemingly unenthused response to the best documentary win. Oh, Halle Berry also turned heads by sharing a spontaneous kiss with Adrien Brody on the red carpet, which was Oscar-winning in its own right.

Unsurprisingly, it’s not the first time Moore has been roped into a seemingly fictional feud while on the awards show circuit. In January, Moore’s daughter was forced to deny claims that the actress snubbed Kylie Jenner at the Golden Globes, after footage of Moore ignoring the reality TV star took off like wildfire on social media. I guess all these folks manifesting a catfight haven’t seen The Substance, or else they’d know exactly what happens when the competition among women in Hollywood reaches boiling point. Hint, it’s not pretty.    

Emilia Pérez’s awards journey is riddled with controversy. Now, Karla Sofia Gascón, the Best Actress nominee for the musical, is adding more fuel to the fire — this time for possibly breaking a sacred Oscar rule.

In an interview with the Brazilian magazine Folha de São Paulo, Gascón accused Fernanda Torres’s team of attempting to sabotage Emilia Perez’s already tainted reputation by speaking negatively about the film. “I have never, at any point, said anything bad about Fernanda Torres or her movie. However, there are people working with her who are tearing me and Emilia Pérez down. That says more about their movie than mine.”

This kind of statement during Emilia Perez’s promotional period and Oscar campaign couldn’t have come at a worse time. According to the Academy Awards’ Campaign Promotional Regulations, individuals directly associated with the Academy are not allowed to “share misleading or false information about a motion picture, performance, or achievement.”

However, Variety has reported that 52-year-old Gascón did not violate any Oscar rules following her clarification of the remarks. “I was referencing the toxicity and violent hate speech on social media that I sadly continue to experience,” the Spanish actress stated. “Fernanda has been a wonderful ally, and no one directly associated with her has been anything but ive and hugely generous.”

This, however, hasn’t stopped fans from rallying behind Torres, for one simple reason: The 59-year-old Brazilian actress herself has publicly showered Gascón with compliments. In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, Torres urged kindness toward the Emilia Pérez star, after she recalled feeling overwhelmed at a party at the Château Marmont, surrounded by Hollywood stars — until Gascón stepped in to her.

“I was feeling a bit out of place at the party, like a fish out of water,” Torres began. “Then suddenly, Karla Sofía Gascón — the actress from Emilia Pérez, the first trans woman nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars — grabbed me by the arm. She took me by the hand and introduced me to everyone.” Torres followed her story with a series of heartfelt compliments.

At the end of the video, Torres once again advocated for kindness toward Gascón and all the female nominees. “Let’s not mistreat anyone or create conflicts, pitting us against one another, for God’s sake. I am forever grateful for Sofía Gascón. She’s wonderful in Emilia Pérez,” she said, before concluding with, “Let’s not feed hate. And I want to say, Karla Sofía Gascón, I love you forever — a most generous, talented woman who deserves all of our love.”

At the same time, an eagle-eyed fan pointed out that while Torres’ camp may not have directly campaigned against Emilia Pérez — not that it needed any more bad press — Marcelo Rubens Paiva, the author of the book that inspired I’m Still Here, has accused the Emilia Pérez‘s team of actively campaigning for the award.

In a tweet, Paiva claimed, “Netflix, the producer of the film Emilia Perez, has been organizing trips and hosting periodic parties for Oscar voters.”

While this is undeniably not the greatest press for either Torres’ I’m Still Here, or Gascóns’ Emilia Pérez, some fans managed to find a silver lining in the middle of this debacle: Demi Moore’s future at the Oscars. “This is good for Demi! Not that she needed the help, but her best actress win is still secure,” said a fan on X. Leave it to Moore’s friends to find some positive energy amidst all of this.

What is Landman about?

The series was created by Christian Wallace, the host of the Texas Monthly podcast Boomtown, and is written by Taylor Sheridan. Thornton stars as Tommy Norris, who works as a landman for an independent oil rig. Norris is nearly always battling one crisis or another, whether that’s due to lawsuits, working conditions that need to be improved, or something in his personal life.

When did Landman come out?

The first season of the show debuted on Paramount on January 12, 2025, and fans are already clamoring for more. Though the streamer has yet to confirm a follow-up series, there are encouraging signs (including the cast and crew’s stated enthusiasm) that make the possibility seem likely.

In a January 2025 interview with TheWrap, Thornton said, “I think Tommy’s driven to make it a success, but at the same time, scared s—tless right now, to take this on, and probably does not want to do it. He does not want to take any kind of an executive position. And I got a feeling, if there were a season 2 [another wink] that he’s going to drag a lot of the landmen into it.”

Who else is in Landman?

The show also stars Mad Men alum Jon Hamm as oil CEO Monty Miller and Demi Moore as his wife Cami. While attending the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, Moore made it clear that she would love to return to the character.

“It’s a very interesting world in the boomtown of Fort Worth, Texas. It’s kind of this subculture that we haven’t seen before, which is what I think Taylor does so well,” the actress told Deadline of the series. “I play an oil tycoon’s wife… lots of nice clothes. The substance of it is really exploring the issues around oil, petroleum, on all sides…and then of course there’s – as Taylor does so well – there’s delicious drama within and family dynamics.”

When will the second season of Landman begin filming?

Again, there has been no official confirmation that a second season will happen, but Thornton previously told Entertainment Weekly that if filming is to begin, it will probably be in February or March of 2025.

“I understand that if we’re going to do that, season 2, that it’s going to be sometime around February, March, somewhere in there,” Thornton said last year. “I mean, we’ll see. It just depends on how the chips may fall, you never know in this business. But if we do it, I think [we’re] going to try to do it around that.”

“She likes them young!” That’s what some social media s said after Demi Moore and Andrew Garfield were spotted sharing some very flirty moments at the Golden Globes early this year. The rumor mill has been busy churning out wishful thinking and speculation-inducing reports since then, and now many people still want answers and confirmation that the two are a thing, and it just wasn’t some sort of a fluke. 

This hullabaloo started when Garfield, 41, was caught on camera inaudibly telling the 62-year-old Hollywood star something while kissing her hands amid the busy crowd at the function hall. Moore’s face was not visible in the shot, but she seemed to be intently listening to Garfield as they looked at each other eye to eye. It’s been two weeks since then, but the curious interaction between the two actors continues to boggle the minds of fans and casual social media s alike. Adding to their confusion are the reports claiming something is going on between them. For instance, celebrity gossip source DeuxMoi shared an anonymous tip via Instagram Stories claiming that Garfield has been staying at Moore’s house in Sun Valley, Idaho.

In the wake of the speculations, many took to X to weigh in on the potential romance between the Amazing Spider-Man actor and the first-time Golden Globe winner. One fan was seemingly rooting for Garfield and Moore to date by writing on X, “Please make this happen!” Another chimed in, saying, “That would have to go down as one of the biggest upgrades in history.” Garfield was most recently linked to social justice activist, Dr. Kate Tomas, while Moore’s last boyfriend was Swiss chef Daniel Humm. 

Since Garfield and Moore are both currently single, many hope they will indeed take the risk and start a romance with each other. However, some criticized the 21-year age difference between the two, with one even arguing that Moore’s too old: “Why the hell is everyone ‘shipping’ Andrew Garfield and Demi Moore? That man wants children — not gonna happen with her“. 

However, other s quickly pointed out they could just do “casual dating.” Someone else also noted that Garfield himself has already itted that he no longer wants to have children. Last October, the actor told Esquire in an interview that he’s already “a tired guy” and so, he no longer wants “to be a tired dad.”

Explaining his resolve not to enter fatherhood, Garfield said that it’s tough to raise a child, and it’s all the more challenging given his status as a public personality. “Bringing new life into the context of my life, there’s a heavy burden there,” he said. It was not the first time he spoke about not wanting to be a father either. When he reached 40 in 2022, he told GQ: “Releasing myself from the societal obligation of procreating by the time I’m 40 has been an interesting thing to do with myself.”

Being with Moore pretty much spares him from all the “starting a family” questions. But then again, there’s still no confirmation if he’s indeed dating The Substance star. As for Moore, she wouldn’t have a hard time navigating married life with a much younger man. She married her ex-husband, Ashton Kutcher, when he was 25, while she was 40, in 2005. They were husband and wife for six years before divorcing in 2011.

Bruce Willis was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, a language disorder that affects communication. A year later, the actor received a formal diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a condition that tragically shortened his life expectancy significantly. Since the diagnosis, Demi Moore has been a constant source of for Willis and his wife, Emma Heming Willis, dedicating weekly time to be with the Die Hard actor. According to a close friend, not even the excitement surrounding Moore’s potential Oscar win will interfere with the limited time they have together.

“Demi’s had an incredible year, but what’s really interesting is how gracefully she’s handling all the new attention and awards buzz while also keeping Bruce’s peace and comfort at the very top of her list of priorities,” the friend shared. The source also mentioned that despite Willis’ communication abilities being significantly limited, the two have maintained a close bond. In fact, Moore is “convinced she’s making a difference by staying by his side, even though he’s not able to communicate much beyond a chuckle or a warm grin.”

The night celebrated Demi Moore’s achievements as an actress, and it was an award well-deserved, but the star also picked the perfect dress to celebrate her career milestone. She looked unbelievably beautiful in a custom-made Armani Privé gown: the golden fabric made her dazzle and proved who the real trophy of the night was! The fit was exceptional and perfectly showed off Moore’s slender frame, accentuating her bust by spotlighting it with glitter detail. However, the fishtail hem was the real showstopper, and we could not help but stare at the actress as she made her way across the red carpet.

We love that she left her hair to fall loosely, and her makeup was natural. Of course, Moore had the help of a glam team, whom she credited with her look in a video she posted on Instagram. The short clip shows fans how she got ready for her big moment at the Golden Globes. “Where the magic happens. Truly couldn’t do it without my team!” she wrote in the caption. Unsurprisingly, fans have flocked to the video’s comment section to praise the actress and celebrate her win.

Demi Moore’s daughter Tallulah Willis has set the record straight after fans claimed that her mother purposely snubbed Kylie Jenner during this year’s Golden Globes ceremony. 

For context, onlookers were quick to suggest that Moore — who took home the Best Actress trophy for her role in The Substance — ignored Jenner while greeting the reality star’s tablemate, Elle Fanning. Clips of the interaction, which sees the actress gleefully hugging Fanning while seated next to Jenner  — who attended with her boyfriend and nominee, Timothée Chalamet — went viral on social media, with many presuming that Moore had snubbed the Kardashian sibling. Given Jenner’s reputation, Moore’s supposed snub was met with praise in some corners of the internet. 

“Idk why I love Kylie Jenner being ignored by Demi Moore,” one X wrote, with another adding that the interaction “has me in tears.” Much to their dismay, however, it turns out Moore’s presumed snub wasn’t that at all, at least according to the actress’ 30-year-old daughter. Responding to the fanfare on social media, Tallulah (whose father is Bruce Willis), took to her Instagram Stories to “[NIP] THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD.” She explained that the viral moment was captured right after Moore’s win, and added context by revealing that she and her mother had spent the New Year’s period with Fanning. 

“We spent new year with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do,” Tallulah wrote (per E! News). She added that her mother “was in total shock and delight and [was] moving throughout a warm room of well-wishers,” clarifying that “there was no snub of any sort.” Tallulah reiterated that “had [Moore] seen KJ wanting to congratulate her, she would have fully given her the time and space.” Putting the whole ordeal to bed with gracious aplomb, Tallulah encouraged everyone to “give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”.   

While Talluaha squashed whatever beef the internet tried to inspire, it wouldn’t be the first time fans have reveled in a supposed snub against the Kardashians. Last year, a clip of Jenner’s older sister, Kim Kardashian, being ignored by Anna Wintour during Paris Fashion Week went viral with similar fervency, such is the internet’s incurable case of schadenfreude against the divisive reality TV family. 

While the Moore/Jenner interaction was attention-grabbing on its own, it didn’t dull the rapturous reaction to Moore’s win, with the actress delivering a rousing acceptance speech while touching on the feminist themes of her role in The Substance. She faced some pretty stiff competition, too, beating out the likes of Cytnhia Erivo (for Wicked), Amy Adams (for Nightbitch), and Zendaya (for Challengers). For his part, Chalamet — who has been dating Jenner since 2023 — was less successful, with his portrayal as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown not enough to clinch the victory from Adrien Brody for The Brutalist. 

Jenner’s non-snub was one of multiple talked-about moments from the glitzy ceremony, spearheaded by host Nikki Glaser’s hilarious opening monologue. Elsewhere, Vin Diesel gave an awkward shoutout to Dwayne Johnson, Sofia Vergara heckled Jodie Foster, and Andrew Garfield broke the algorithm through the simple act of putting on his reading glasses. Given how hard he’s been campaigning for an Oscar nod, we hope Chalamet was met with from his girlfriend and not an all-powerful snub.

There’s a lot to love about the entertainment awards season: the upsets, the conversations about the films being recognized, and the general air of excitement that’s probably not dissimilar to a sporting event, except it’s for theater kids and cinephiles (endearingly and pejoratively) instead of dads.

Among the most meaningful part of these ceremonies are the acceptance speeches, and the 82nd Golden Globes had a treasure trove of anecdotal gratitude on its hands. From Adrien Brody’s heartfelt reflection on his family, to the championing of artists from Brady Corbet and Richard Gadd, all the way to Kieran Culkin’s unhinged nonchalance, there was plenty to love here. But if there was a Golden Globe for the best acceptance speech, Demi Moore and Sebastian Stan would likely be holding it together.

Respectively winning for Best Performance in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Substance and A Different Man, Moore and Stan delivered their speeches one after another, both of them imbuing into their speeches personal subject matter and socially prevalent sentiments, while also calling back to their respective films in the process.

Moore starred in The Substance as Elisabeth Sparkle, a former Hollywood star who falls into despair when her aging body costs her the adoration she once enjoyed in the industry. She happens upon a black market drug called “The Substance” that allows her to inhabit a younger version of herself, but the severe consequences end up catching her off guard.

At 62 years old, Moore’s own career is a rather pertinent lens to view The Substance through, as the actress — once the world’s highest-paid back in 1995 — struggled to maintain relevance into the 2000s, pointing out in her speech that someone once told her she was a “popcorn actress”; one who would never be recognized for any artistic strength among her peers, and perhaps thrived exclusively on her beauty.

With her performance in The Substance, though, Moore quite loudly asserted that she’s so much more than what the Hollywood suits believed her to be, and this Golden Globe win — together with a speech in which she boldly reclaimed her artistry (and, by extension, the dignity of women working in a rather undignified machine) — cements that even further.

Stan then had the unenviable task of following Moore’s speech, a task even Kerry Washington, who was presenting his award alongside Andrew Garfield, mentioned before segueing from Moore’s speech to the next category. But the A Different Man star proved to be more than up to the task with a hearty helping of humanism in his back pocket.

In his film, Stan stars as an actor with neurofibromatosis, which causes a physical deformity on his face that makes him socially ostracized. He undergoes a procedure to remove the deformity, assuming a new identity in the process and living a content life, but he soon catches wind of Oswald (Adam Pearson), an actor with the same condition as him who is all but beloved by the world around him, causing a maelstrom of inner conflict within Stan’s character.

During his speech, Stan vigorously championed the act of telling inclusive stories that normalize disability in the face of willful ignorance and rejection faced by the community. He went a step further by advocating for stories that are difficult to tell, naming A Different Man and The Apprentice — the Donald Trump biopic that Stan also starred in — as two such films that deconstructed a wall of uncomfortable subject matter so as to get to the necessary humanity at the core of them.

All too often do we cross our fingers for certain nominees to win their respective category, solely because we know their acceptance speech will be straight fire. I was very, very happy and really honored. That was a huge accomplishment for me, and I’m so proud to be there alongside so many other filmmakers that I deeply ire.”

In the interview, the director also discussed the casting and how Demi Moore was an excellent choice for the role of Elisabeth Sparkle. “I knew that I needed an actress who would go 100 percent into the project.
