With a social game that started out horrific and eventually took a turn for the better, Emily Flippen captured the hearts of both her tribemates and viewers at home throughout Survivor 45 with her one-of-a-kind journey. To the dissatisfaction of Survivor superfans nationwide, her journey tragically came to a close on December 6 after a tribal council that left everyone stunned, ultimately causing an uproar via X (formerly known as Twitter).

“FINANCIAL ANALYST EMILY FLIPPEN 😭😭😭

“BRING BACK FINANCIAL ANALYST EMILY FLIPPEN.”

“Thank you, Emily Flippen, for an incredible season. My heart is broken.”

As for how her elimination came to be, with a plan to blindside Julie Alley and break up the Reba four — consisting of Julie Alley, Dee Valladares, Drew Basile, and Austin Li Coon — things seemed to be smooth sailing until one castaway spilled the beans…

Austin told Dee, and then Dee told Julie, ultimately causing the plan to come crumbling down, with Julie playing her Hidden Immunity Idol at tribal council (which Austin had handed to her a few days prior). Because of this, just one vote to determined who would get their torch snuffed that fateful night, and unfortunately, that one vote was casted for Emily Flippen.

While Emily itted in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly that she wanted to go to the end with Drew and Austin (which unfortunately never came to fruition), there was another castaway that the Maryland native really connected with during her time on the beach that might just surprise you. In said interview, Emily revealed that one thing she wishes would have made it onto our television screens more was her strong bond with Kendra McQuarrie. Given the uptight nature of Emily and the free spirited nature of Emily, nobody saw this relationship coming, but the former shared with Dalton Ross at Entertainment Weekly that contrary to popular belief, they are more alike than they are different — how wild is that?

“Kendra and my relationship wasn’t really shown. Obviously, it wasn’t super relevant to either of our situations, but we actually had a really great functioning alliance after all of the craziness and after all of our differences in our personalities. We were actually probably more similar than we are dissimilar. We had a really great friendship and an alliance and that was never part of the narrative this season, so I was kind of sad that didn’t make it.”

Nonetheless, we are sure Emily and Kendra had a great time together at Ponderosa!

She came, she saw, and she conquered, but after 21 days on the shores of Fiji, Emily Flippen‘s journey on Survivor 45 came to a close, shattering the hearts of Survivor fans nationwide.

Naturally, said superfans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their heartbreak and agony over the financial analyst’s untimely exit.

As for how it all went down, ith a plan to blindside Julie Alley and break up the Reba four — consisting of Julie Alley, Dee ValladaresDrew Basile, and Austin Li Coon — things seemed to be going according to the plan until one castaway spilled the beans…

With Austin telling Dee (given the undeniable connection they have with one another), and then Dee telling Julie, the plan was ultimately foiled. Julie played her Hidden Immunity Idol at tribal council (which Austin had handed to her a few days prior), causing just one vote to determine who would get their torch snuffed that fateful night, and unfortunately, that one vote was casted for Emily.

Being sent to Ponderosa far too soon, Emily played a phenomenal social, strategic, and physical game, however, her plan to go to the final three with Drew and Austin (and likely take home $1 million and the title of “Sole Survivor”) never came to fruition.

While her first attempt on the hit competition show did not have the end result that she was hoping for, would Emily Flippen ever try her luck on Survivor for a second time? Keep scrolling to see for yourself…

In said interview, Dalton Ross at Entertainment Weekly asked Emily Flippen the question that Survivor superfans have been wondering ever since her untimely exit.

“Would you do it again if they asked you to come back to play on another season? What do you say">Squid Game The Challenge has to offer, causing Emily to raise some eyebrows — perhaps that show (and that cash prize) is much more up her alley!

On December 6, Survivor superfans were forced to say goodbye to one of the most complex, captivating contestants the franchise has ever seen — the one and only Emily Flippen — in a tribal council that was truly one for the books.

With a plan to blindside Julie Alley and break up the Reba four — consisting of Julie Alley, Dee Valladares, Drew Basile, and Austin Li Coon — things seemed to be smooth sailing until one castaway spilled the beans. With Austin telling Dee, and then Dee telling Julie, the plan was ultimately foiled, with Julie playing her Hidden Immunity Idol at tribal council (which Austin had handed to her a few days prior) and causing just one vote to determine who would get their torch snuffed that fateful night. Unfortunately, that one vote was casted for Emily Flippen by Julie Alley herself, causing her to be sent to Ponderosa far too soon.

Given that Emily was one of the most beloved castaways of Survivor 45 (or perhaps of the Survivor franchise as a whole), her elimination caused an uproar via X.

“FINANCIAL ANALYST EMILY FLIPPEN 😭😭😭

“BRING BACK FINANCIAL ANALYST EMILY FLIPPEN.”

“Thank you, Emily Flippen, for an incredible season. My heart is broken.”

Nonetheless, the Maryland native sat down with Entertainment Weekly to discuss her journey on the hit competition show in an exclusive interview, ultimately revealing what her endgame plans were. Keep scrolling to see for yourself…

When Dalton Ross at Entertainment Weekly asked Emily what her dream final three scenario was, naturally she sang like a bird, itting that Drew Basile and Austin Li Coon were at the very top of her list.

“I was actually really willing to sit next to Drew and Austin if they would’ve taken me there. Now, I wasn’t sure if they would. I felt a little bit more confident in my relationship with Drew versus Austin, because obviously Austin and Dee were so close. I felt confident that I would potentially lose against one of the Reba women, but my only kind of perception at the time was thinking Drew and Austin were playing similar games, so my thought process was that if I’m sitting next to them, maybe they kind of split votes amongst themselves, and if we do have a jury that is kind of more bitter towards the Reba dominance, maybe I get some votes thrown my way.”

That plan does not sound too bad, but as we know, it never came to fruition…

From being the most hated castaway of Survivor 45 to being the most beloved, Emily Flippen had a rollercoaster of a journey on the hit competition show, going from nearly being the boot at the first tribal council of the season (with Hannah Rose’s self-elimination being her saving grace), to getting her torch snuffed after a single vote was cast against her in a jaw-dropping tribal council.

In an attempt to blindside Julie Alley, things seemed to be going as planned until one castaway decided to spill the secret. While Emily was not well liked by Survivor superfans at the start of the season, with dozens of viewers calling out her controversial behavior and accusing her of targeting her Black tribemates, Sabiyah Broderick and Kaleb Gebrewold, the Maryland native grew on them, ultimately causing an uproar via X (formerly known as Twitter) upon her elimination.

While she does not regret letting her jaded side come to light in the beginning of the game, nor refraining from taking a chance at immunity during her journey within episode 11, Emily told Dalton Ross at Entertainment Weekly that her biggest regret has to do with her Lulu tribemate and first member of the Survivor 45 jury, Kaleb Gebrewold.

“I can start from day one all the way to not splitting the vote at the last tribal council, but I think maybe my biggest regret and where my game really went wrong was making Kaleb such an easy target when the merge happened. I really downplayed our relationship, because I wanted to be perceived as a free agent, and that inadvertently made Kaleb a really easy target. Nobody was willing to go to bat for him. If I had realized that I was in a little bit more of a powerful position than I gave myself credit for, I could have acted faster to protect him, and I let my number one ally get voted out of the game. I think that’s really where a lot of my leverage left.”

Nonetheless, we know that Emily and Kaleb’s reunion at Ponderosa was as sweet as can be!

Emily Flippen is hands down one of the most intriguing Survivor castaways to date, starting out her journey on the beloved competition series as jaded and controversial, and ending said journey as kindhearted and vulnerable. After Survivor superfans grew to love Emily week after week, her luck unfortunately ran out on December 6, in a tribal council that was truly one for the books.

With a plan to blindside Julie Alley, things seemed to be smooth sailing until one castaway spilled the beans. With Austin Li Coon telling Dee Valladares, and Dee Valladares telling Julie Alley herself, the plan was ultimately foiled, with Julie playing her Hidden Immunity Idol at tribal council (which Austin had handed to her a few days prior), causing just one vote to determine who would get their torch snuffed that fateful night. Nonetheless, Emily started to gain popularity from her tribemates and viewers alike as she began to open up more and more about her personal life, itting that she has a boyfriend of nearly a decade during the legendary “Girls Night” reward that occurred a few episodes prior. Contrary to popular belief, Emily shared that she has no plans of getting married to her boyfriend, Erik (despite just moving into their first home together), but a deleted scene from Survivor 45 shows her having a change of heart.

The deleted scene posted by Entertainment Weekly begins with the tribe gathered around the fire for a meal, with castaways like Jake O’Kane and Drew Basile asking extremely thought-provoking questions like “What do I want to do differently in life?” Because of this, Emily found it to be the perfect opportunity to be vulnerable about her relationship with Erik, sharing some words that her tribemates never thought that they would hear.

“You have nothing else to do out here except for think about family I guess and think about home and what’s important. I never thought I was going to get married, and I told Erik our entire relationship basically, ‘Don’t plan on it,’ and I feel like since I’ve been out here, I’ve just been reflecting on it a lot. These things are just more important than to me. I’m thinking twice about it.”

Could wedding bells be in the near future for Emily Flippen? After being eliminated from the beloved competition series, her thoughts of marriage began to get stronger and stronger.

In an exit interview with Dalton Ross at Entertainment Weekly, Emily elaborated on the situation when asked an extremely thought-provoking question.

“We have an exclusive secret scene this week on Entertainment Weekly where you talk about how you always told your boyfriend you would never ever get married, but being on the island you were maybe starting to rethink your drink a little bit. What’s the update there">“When I got out there, I’ll tell you what, it strips you of everything and all the things that I was proud of myself for in my life. When I was talking to the other contestants, I never talked about my career, my school, my adventures, my travels, all these things that I thought were qualities that made me me. I spent the entire time talking about my boyfriend. It’s honestly embarrassing, but everybody kind of knew him as a result of that, and so when I got back from Survivor and I told him I had this change of heart, he’s like, ‘I was just waiting for you to come around,’ so it’s happening… At some point, we’ll get our act together. I think organizationally, that’s the challenge for us, but directionally, that’s where we’re headed.”

It looks like Ms. Emily Flippen will become a Mrs. sometime soon, and we seriously cannot contain our excitement.

Will any of her tribemates be bridesmaids in the wedding? Only time will tell…

The female castaways tease a women-only alliance in a sneak peek of episode 8 of ‘Survivor 45’ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/the-female-castaways-tease-a-women-only-alliance-in-a-sneak-peek-of-episode-8-of-survivor-45/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/the-female-castaways-tease-a-women-only-alliance-in-a-sneak-peek-of-episode-8-of-survivor-45/#respond Tue, 14 Nov 2023 22:05:13 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1624745 With a six to four ratio, could the women dominate the season?]]>

With the jury stage of the game officially underway — with Kaleb Gebrewold serving as juror number one after last week’s episode — Survivor 45 is about to get wild.

In a sneak peek of episode 8, which was posted to the hit competition show’s official YouTube channel, alliances appear to be shaking up, with the six women left in the game — Dee Valladares, Julie Alley, Kendra McQuarrie, Kellie Nalbandian, Katurah Topps, and Emily Flippen — proposing a women-only alliance, with the intention of targeting the four men left in the game — Drew Basile, Austin Li Coon, Bruce Perreault, and Jake O’Kane.

“It’s six-four right now. This could be our opportunity for six badass women to start taking out some guys,” Kendra dished in a confessional, however, not all of the women are on board with this plan…

“I would love a women’s alliance, but it’s going to be tricky, because Dee and I are still four strong with Drew and Austin, who I trust a hundred percent,” Julie shared with the camera, referencing the alliance she has built with her original Reba tribemates (with the exception of eliminated castaways J. Maya and Sifu Alsup, of course).

With a scene of the women strategizing about a female alliance juxtaposed with a scene of the men discussing tacos, this sneak peek is equally as intriguing as it is hilarious, leaving Survivor superfans on the edge of their seat as to what’s to come tomorrow evening (November 15).

https://youtu.be/iVG9thTdGn0?si=AcwUqJ3SrEuor16R

While this women-only alliance sounds like a great idea in theory, several Survivor superfans took to the comment section of the video to share why they think it will not be successful, largely due to the amount of advantages that the male contestants have in their possession at the moment.

“There’s no way a girl alliance would work unless every guy left is an idiot. Every man left, except Jake, is confirmed to have an idol/advantage, and it was implied Jake finds something this week in last week’s teaser. The only girl with an advantage is Kellie, but she needs to either work with Austin or get him out to use it,” one viewer wrote.

Given that there is no telling what the rest of Survivor 45 has in store, will this female alliance come to fruition? To find out for yourself, tune into brand new episodes of the beloved competition show every Wednesday, from 8pm to 9:30pm ET/PT on CBS — the season is starting to heat up!

If you have been keeping up with Survivor 45, you would know that Emily Flippen is one of this season’s most prominent castaways, for better or worse.

Beginning on one what could be the worst tribe in the history of Survivor, the Lulu tribe — often referred to as “the Lulu losers” — Emily’s pessimistic attitude and paranoid gameplay ruffled some feathers amongst her fellow tribemates: Hannah Rose, Brandon Donlon, Sabiyah Broderick, Sean Edwards, and Kaleb Gebrewold.

While she definitely started out on the wrong foot, Emily began to pick up some momentum by working with Kaleb to orchestrate a jaw-dropping blindside against Sabiyah during the Oct. 11 episode of Survivor 45

After a shocking tribe swap last week’s episode, Emily found herself as the only original Lulu member on her new tribe, causing her to be the swing vote at tribal council. Siding with Austin Li Coon and Drew Basile instead of Kendra McQuarrie and Brando Meyer, Brando was eliminated to conclude the episode.

Having a whirlwind of a journey on Survivor 45 thus far, finally finding herself in a power position, Emily shared with Entertainment Weekly one of her favorite memories of the season prior to the merge, and this moment is sure to make you giggle.

When asked the question, “What was your favorite moment you experienced this season leading up to the merge">“While my failure to open up really isolated me at Lulu Beach, it’s hilarious to look back on, made even better by the fact that my fellow castaways were able to have a good laugh about it as well,” she spilled.

Nonetheless, to see if Emily takes home $1 million and the title of “Sole Survivor” in the end, tune into new episodes of Survivor 45 every Wednesdays at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.

Castaways on Survivor are known for being absolutely starving (as we know, one of the main components of the game is to survive on an island with little to no food), going to the extremes for any sort of fuel.

Living off of primarily coconuts and rice, with the occasional fish or crab thrown in there (as well as food from a reward challenge if the tribe proves victorious), Survivor contestants have proven since 2001 that they will do anything they can for some extra protein.

Because of this, the Belo tribe on Survivor 45 decided to get a bit creative, adding a brand new creature to their diet: sea cucumbers.

While it did not air during episode four of Survivor 45, Entertainment Weekly surprised fans with an exclusive deleted scene, where the adventurous Austin Li Coon tries a sea cucumber alongside his brand new Belo tribemates: Drew Basile, Emily Flippen, Brando Meyer, and Kendra McQuarrie.

Keep scrolling to find out how it all went down — did they discover a new tasty treat?

Screengrab via CBS

After finding a sea cucumber on the ocean floor, Austin took a big bite, before sharing his true thoughts with the camera.

“That sea cucumber was disgusting,” the 26-year-old dished in a confessional. “Knowing that it looks like a piece of crap, and watching its intestines spill out of it, it’s probably the most unappetizing thing I have ever eaten.”

“I’ve already eaten earthworms and everything on Survivor. Like, that was horrible,” he continued, reinforcing that sea cucumbers will not be a staple in his diet.

Just moments after trying it, the San Jose, California native lied to his tribemates, trying to convince them to taste the sea cucumber as well: “It’s not that bad. It literally just has no flavor. It tastes like a rubber band. You have to get over it.”

After Austin’s persuasion, every tribemate took a bite (resulting in the same disgusted reaction) with the exception of the pessimistic Emily Flippen, who refused to go anywhere near the creature.

“Sea cucumbers are disgusting,” she spilled. “Honestly, I’m surprised nobody got sick from eating that. Nobody enjoyed that. I was waiting for Jeff [Probst] to pop out and be like ‘Stop! Stop! Stop! Don’t do it.'”

Nonetheless, Austin does not regret the experience: “It was truly like a core memory. I’ve never experienced any sort of food experience like that” And that’s what Survivor is all about!

Tune into CBS every Wednesday at 8pm ET/PT for new 90-minute episodes of Survivor 45.

Who is ‘Sole Survivor’ Mike Gabler’s favorite castaway on ‘Survivor 45?’ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/who-is-sole-survivor-mike-gablers-favorite-castaway-on-survivor-45/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/who-is-sole-survivor-mike-gablers-favorite-castaway-on-survivor-45/#respond Wed, 18 Oct 2023 18:10:56 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1606948 Despite being a hater, Gabler is her motivator!]]>

If there is one thing to know about “Sole Survivor” Mike Gabler, he is an absolute goofball.

Survivor 45 is officially underway, and it looks like the controversial winner of Survivor 43 has been tuning in week after week. With a cast that is nothing short of spectacular (despite the lack of age diversity), Gabler has taken to social media to pinpoint his favorite castaway of the season, and given the history behind his decision, his pick is just too funny.

The 53-year-old has decided to root for Emily Flippen this fall, despite the not-so nice things she had to say about him in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly.

In said interview, the infamous Survivor 45 castaway revealed that she only applied for the show because she was angered by Gabler’s win — she thinks he was undeserving of the million-dollar prize!

“I applied for the first time in my life in the beginning of December 2022. Ripped an application video because I was really angry that morning after watching Mike Gabler win. I decided that was not ok in my book so I was like ‘I should apply, I can do this!'”

For those who need a refresher as to how the heart valve specialist was awarded the title of “Sole Survivor” in the first place, his journey was anything but ordinary.

During the season finale of Survivor 43Cassidy Clark won the final immunity challenge and decided to take Owen Knight with her to the end, forcing Jesse Lopez and Mike Gabler to compete against one another in the infamous final four fire-making challenge — in her eyes, Gabler was the only one who could take out Jesse once and for all!

Naturally, Gabler won the challenge, making Survivor history with the fastest time ever recorded in a fire-making challenge (before Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt beat him during Survivor 44). To the surprise of viewers around the world, knocking out the frontrunner of the season turned out to be one of the key moments that led to his victory…

Advancing to the final three, the Idaho native was praised by the jury for his final four fire-making win, as well as his strong social bonds, despite being Survivor 43‘s biggest oddball. Gabler dominated the conversation at the final tribal council, explaining that he was an “alli-Gabler” throughout the entirety of Survivor 43, playing in the middle and hiding in plain sight, resulting in a near-perfect game with no votes cast against him.

In the end, Gabler beat Cassidy and Owen in a 7-1-0 vote, which caused an uproar from Survivor fans across the globe (including Emily Flippen).

Nonetheless, Gabler ultimately turned a negative into a positive, sharing his for Emily in an extremely comedic way.

“Flippen Awesome Tribe Swappin’ Survivor Wednesday! #Luv4Lulu @SurvivorSFT @survivorcbs,” he shared via Twitter (referencing Emily’s last name), coinciding with four images of him wearing a tee shirt with her face on it — how funny is that?

Fans praised Gabler for his optimism, calling this post “absolute icon behavior.”

“I think it’s hilarious that you did this considering how she talked about you”

“Wait this is actually so funny lmfao”

“How can you not like this guy">

“You’re such a Flippen great sport, Gabler!”

Was the Lulu tribe destined to fail on ‘Survivor 45?’ The theory surrounding one of the worst tribes in ‘Survivor’ history, explained https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/was-the-lulu-tribe-destined-to-fail-on-survivor-45-the-theory-surrounding-one-of-the-worst-tribes-in-survivor-history-explained/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/was-the-lulu-tribe-destined-to-fail-on-survivor-45-the-theory-surrounding-one-of-the-worst-tribes-in-survivor-history-explained/#respond Tue, 03 Oct 2023 21:20:06 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1598788 There's a reason why they call themselves the Lulu losers...]]>

If you watched the premiere of Survivor 45 this past Wednesday (September 27), the Lulu tribe might just stick out like a sore thumb when you reflect on the oh-so infamous episode.

Consisting of Hannah Rose, Brandon Donlon, Sean Edwards, Kaleb Gebrewold, Sabiyah Broderick, and Emily Flippen, the Lulu tribe lost the marooning challenge, lost the “Sweat vs Savvy” challenge, and lost the immunity challenge all in a single episode, resulting in Hannah self-eliminating rather than experiencing a traditional tribal council — does it get any worse than that?

Featuring some of the most polarizing castaways of all time, such as the ultimate supervillain of Survivor’s new era, was the Lulu tribe destined to fail from the very beginning, similar to the Tika tribe from Survivor 44?

@Geeblord8 kickstarted the conversation via Reddit, sharing their theory surrounding the Lulu tribe: “After seeing multiple ‘disaster tribes’ be the focal point of these new era seasons and providing much of the entertainment particularly in the pre-merge (Ua, Vati, Tika), do we think production purposely designed Lulu to be this season’s disaster tribe? Just looking at this group, it seems hard to believe casting felt Lulu was physically equal to red and blue, then you’ve got Emily who was always going to be aggressive, and Brandon, Hannah, and Sean to be emotional/neurotic. Altogether in my opinion, this tribe never had a chance to make the merge with numbers — what do you all think">Photo via Robert Voets/CBS

“Yeah, without castaways picking teams themselves, there’s no reason Lulu should have that lineup. Production did them DIRTY,” @Ill_Tumblr_4_Ya shared referencing the schoolyard pick that older Survivor seasons utilized and garnering nearly 200 upvotes.

Even though the schoolyard pick sparked some controversy due to the fact that it sent the last people picked or those not picked packing, it does not sound like that bad of an idea, given how poorly the Lulu tribe was developed by the production team.

“I’m all for schoolyard pick coming back, but not if the last people picked/those not picked are immediate boots. I just re-watched Survivor: Palau and it’s so dang painful to see Wanda go,” @OkSpot8931 added, sharing their suggestions on how Survivor can bring back the schoolyard pick in the future, all in a much more fair way — with no unjust eliminations, it sounds like reviving the schoolyard pick could be a great idea for forthcoming seasons!

Will Survivor 45 experience a tribe swap soon? For the sake of those suck on the Lulu tribe, we sure hope so…

If you caught the premiere of Survivor 45 last night, chances are the one and only Emily Flippen stuck out to you (and not in a good way).

Consistently speaking her mind, calling out fellow castaways like Bruce PerreaultKaleb Gebrewold, and Sabiyah Broderick for their “shady” gameplay, Emily has not only caused drama within her tribe (the Lulu tribe), but she has also sparked controversy amongst several Survivor superfans.

Why, you may ask? Keep scrolling to find out everything you need to know about Survivor‘s newest supervillain, as well as why she is so controversial amongst viewers…

Who is Emily Flippen on Survivor 45?

Born and raised in McKinney, Texas, Emily currently resides in Laurel, Maryland, working as an investment analyst who ed all three levels of her CFA exams on her first attempt — she is truly a genius!

According to her official Survivor biography, which was shared via Entertainment Weekly, the 28-year-old is “direct, genuine, and aggressive,” and enjoys “doting over her cat, playing video games, and meal-prepping,” and she has a great deal of life experience that has prepared her for the game.

Prior to the premiere of Survivor 45, Emily shared one of her most notable adventures, as well as how it will likely help her throughout her Survivor journey.

“When I was 18, I moved to Shanghai to be part of the inaugural class of the first t Sino-American University in China. I’m accustomed to working with (and competing against) people with many different backgrounds and life experiences.”

This competitive nature has already began to shine, painting herself as the villain of Survivor 45 after just one episode. With the adorable Carson Garrett of Survivor 44 saying so himself via Twitter/X, it seriously does not get more official than that!

Speaking of villains, Emily itted that the previous Survivor castaway she identifies with the most is the one and only “Chaos Kass” of Survivor: Cagayan and Survivor: Cambodia.

“I’ve been told my personality is extremely similar to Kass [McQuillen]. I take that as the complement that it is, however, I plan on playing my own game and making an entirely unique set of mistakes… I lack a lot of the traditional qualities that make a good Survivor player: I’m out of shape, don’t really like the outdoors, and people can find me off-putting. Which is exactly why they’ll never see me coming!”

Why is Emily Flippen so controversial on Survivor 45?

Aside from simply being “off-putting,” Emily has been criticized by several Survivor superfans for something much more extreme than simply having a brash personality.

After just one episode, where she belittled Bruce within the first five minutes of the show, as well as accused her tribemates, Kaleb and Sabiyah, of having an alliance after mere hours on the beach, the 28-year-old has been accused of targeting Black individuals during her time on Survivor 45.

With all of this unfolding during last night’s premiere, viewers have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, with some not-so nice words geared towards Emily.

@MojoFerocious: “Emily could have been the type of villain that’s good for viewers to hate, but the first 3 targets of her are certainly make her seem like a more sinister type of villain that shouldn’t be platformed. #Survivor45”

@Philly_Gavin: “Looking back on last nights episode, it’s very weird how Emily was trying to put a target on Bruce’s back 5 minutes into the season, and then immediately lumped together Kaleb and Sabiyah as a ‘threatening’ duo when Brandon and Hannah were also clearly a duo. #Survivor #Survivor45”

@Sasha_Smierce: “Emily ’bout to get on my bad side. Keep the Black folks names out your ugly mouth b***h. #Survivor45”
