Justin Bieber is making no effort to quash the speculations about his allegedly dying marriage to his wife, Hailey Baldwin. If anything, he’s making things worse, especially with his latest eyebrow-raising social media activity. Apparently, the singer felt the need to flirt with another well-known artist, and he did so in a very public manner that there’s intense buzz yet again about a possible divorce between him and his model wife.

Just recently, the 30-year-old pop singer was caught gushing over actress Keke Palmer‘s Instagram post, which featured a photo of the latter rocking a white crop top, low-rise beige pants, and a silk Burberry scarf. Bieber allegedly wrote on the photo, “She said I’m poppin out [heart-eyes emoji],” but then the comment quickly disappeared. However, Comments by Celebs was able to immortalize it with a screenshot. Also, even though the comment is no longer available, Bieber’s “like” remained, and it didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans.

Bieber’s gesture quickly prompted several reactions from his fans and casual IG s on Comments by Celebs’ post. “He’s always showing so much love to other girls in the comments,” one wrote, while another suggested, “Justin Bieber already trynna move on from Hailey.”

In January, JB and Baldwin, 28, caused a huge commotion online after some people noticed that the former had unfollowed the latter on Instagram, sparking speculations that there could be trouble in paradise. However, the “Peaches” singer quickly shut down the assumptions by addressing the issue directly on his IG , saying someone had hacked into his and unfollowed his wife.

But even before the unfollowing incident, there was already a bit of chatter online on how the couple, who welcomed their baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber, in August, appeared to be throwing cryptic posts against each other on social media. The purported online “war” between the two started when Bieber shared Jacquees’ “B.E.D.,” a song about a man uninterested in serious romance. The digital cold war escalated with more pointed song choices until Baldwin ended it with SZA’s “30 for 30,” featuring the icy lyric, “But if it’s f* me, then f* you.”

Many interpreted the bizarre musical exchange as a ive-aggressive marital spat, while others speculated it was just a PR stunt for Bieber’s music. However, it did not help when the Rhode Beauty founder seemingly rushed to her BFF Kendall Jenner’s side sometime in January to have an all-girls getaway with their other pals in Aspen, Colorado. Nevertheless, before it could even cause another wave of split rumors, it was revealed that Bieber was also in Aspen at the time, but he was mostly spending time with his friends.

But now Bieber is back to causing more drama. It’s not clear what he was trying to prove or achieve with his peculiar comment on the 31-year-old actress’ post, but it is worth noting that the two have a history of expressing iration for each other publicly, according to the Daily Mail. The Nope star has spoken highly of Bieber over the years, calling him “such a sweet guy” and “very charming.” Their friendship even led to a 2022 appearance on Baldwin’s YouTube series, Who’s In My Bathroom?, where the two women bonded over snickerdoodle cookies and a spelling bee.

With Palmer newly single following her split from Darius Jackson in late 2023, and Bieber seemingly stirring the pot with his online antics, fans are left wondering if his comment was just him trying to be friendly or something more.

It’s bad enough that Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber continue to get hounded by divorce claims. But to be accused of personally fueling the assumptions themselves just because of the bizarre timing of their respective social media posts is a whole new level of crazy thinking.

Has the couple secretly split? That’s the fan theory circulating online after their eyebrow-raising tête-à-tête on Instagram stories that suggest to the drama-inclined that their marriage could be on the rocks. The “Peaches” singer was the first to raise suspicions after he shared a moody selfie along with the Jacquees song “B.E.D.”

The song talks about a man not looking for any serious relationship with a woman, but just a good time in the bedroom. The lyrics include: “I know you wanna love but I just wanna f**k. And girl (uh, hey), you know the deal. I gotta keep it real.”

A few minutes later, Hailey shared a clip of the SZA track “What Do I Do">recent post of Hailey on Instagram Story, in which he wrote: “Going anywhere with you bb.”

Model Hailey Bieber has opened up about the health of her husband, pop idol Justin Bieber. The pop idol was forced to cancel a string of dates on his current world tour due to a serious bout of facial paralysis. The model says that her husband’s prognosis is very good and that he’s currently on the mend.

Justin Bieber was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a neurological affliction that affects the facial nerves and causes paralysis. The singer took to Instagram to explain that he was currently experiencing partial facial paralysis and would therefore be stepping away from his tour to recover his health. In the post, he explained, “I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal, and it will go back to normal. It’s just time, and we don’t know how much time it’s gonna be. But it’s gonna be okay, I hope.”

Apparently, the exercises seem to be doing the trick, at least according to his wife. Hailey Bieber appeared on Good Morning America this morning to promote her new skincare line and disclosed a few details about her husband’s health. The pop star is “doing really well, and he’s getting better every single day. He’s feeling a lot better.” Bieber went on to say, “he’s going to be totally okay, and I’m just grateful that he’s fine.”

The pair have had their share of health woes lately. Hailey Bieber recently experienced a mini-stroke in March of this year and underwent a surgical procedure to close a hole in her heart. Despite the struggle, the aspiring skincare guru noted that the health scares have made the couple’s relationship stronger. “I think it actually opened up a lot of important and amazing conversation,” she told GMA.

Hillsong is the Australian-based evangelical church with a global reach that has become popular with celebrities in the U.S., but recently saw its influence diminish significantly after some of its leaders were embroiled in scandals. So just what were these scandals, and who are the celebrities associated with the church?

Trouble with church leadership

Last week, Hillsong founder Brian Houston resigned from the church following an internal investigation that found he breached the organization’s code of conduct at least twice due to inappropriate behavior with two women, according to the New York Times. 

Amid this and other controversies, an astoundingly quick decline in the church’s hip has occurred, with no less than nine of the 16 American church campuses associated with the organization disassociating from Hillsong in the past two weeks, a follow-up NYT report stated. 

This comes after scandals had been brewing in the church for the past two years, beginning with another leader of the Hillsong’s U.S. East Coast campuses, Carl Lentz, being fired in 2020. This was cited by Houston as being due to past “moral failures,” according to People. According to a documentary miniseries on Discovery Plus, Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed, a woman claimed to have had a months-long affair with Lentz. 

The documentary miniseries painted the church as image-obsessed, controlling, and fixated on expanding its reach no matter what the cost, and was drawn from interviews with ex-, ex-employees, and critics. Phil Dooley, the church’s interim global leader, characterized the documentary miniseries’ portrait of Hillsong as “almost unrecognizable” to , as quoted by the New York Times.

Back in January, the Australian-based founder, Brian Houston, backed away from ministry duties due to a criminal charge of covering up past sexual abuse by his late father, Frank Houston, also a pastor.

The allegation from Australian police, according to a charge made in August of 2021, was that the younger Houston “knew of information [about his father] relating to the sexual abuse of a young male in the 1970s and failed to bring that information to the attention of police” — a claim which he denies.

Frank Houston founded Sydney Christian Life Center in 1977, which later merged with Hills Christian Life Center, the latter founded by Brian Houston. The newly restructured megachurch was dubbed Hillsong. 

In of the accusations of misconduct that spurred his resignation, the younger — and married — Houston allegedly sent “inappropriate texts” to a staff member, according to a statement from Hillsong’s board of directors. He also allegedly spent time alone — about 40 minutes — in a Sydney hotel room with another woman, who then filed a formal complaint, church officials said. Both of the unnamed women were issued compensation of an undisclosed amount by Houston.

Though Hillsong started in Australia as an offshoot of the Pentecostal denomination, it became its own denomination in 2018, with a heavy emphasis on music, with one of its worship bands even winning a Grammy Award.

Celebrities associated with the church

Vox described Lentz, the now-fired Hillsong U.S. East Coast leader, as being at one time a “close friend” to pop megastar Justin Bieber. Lentz was also described as Bieber’s mentor and a celebrity in his own right by the New York Times. Though Lentz baptized Bieber several years ago, the pair had a falling out in 2018, according to People. 

Chris Pratt and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger are associated with Zoe Church in Los Angeles, which has been described as part of the Hillsong “family” by People, and “Hillsong-adjacent” by Newsweek and Refinery29. The church’s founder, Chad Veach, also told the NYT in 2018 that he modeled the congregation after Hillsong. 

A 2015 blog post on Hillsong’s website written by Veach seems to confirm he considered Zoe Church as part of the Hillsong “family,” at least back then.

“In many ways its [sic] a ‘family’ reunion as some of our closest friends in the world attend each year,” Veach wrote in the post, referencing that year’s Hillsong Conference in Sydney.

However, an official affiliation between the two churches could not be found, either on Hillsong’s website or Zoe Church’s website, as of press time. It’s unclear if the cross-linking of the two churches was dissolved following the scandals, or if Zoe Church has always been considered a lateral entity with only loose affiliations, rather than a subsidiary of Hillsong.

Regardless, Pratt has come under fire from actor Elliot Page and others for associating with the allegedly anti-LGBTQ congregation, though Pratt has disputed that claim. Zoe Church hasn’t officially come out as opposing the LGBTQ community directly, but its pastor once produced a film that equated homosexuality with “sexual brokenness,” according to The Daily Beast. However, Hillsong does have a history of facilitating gay conversion therapy, and refusing leadership roles to LGBTQ people. 

Hillsong founder Houston noted in a 2015 blog post that though the church “welcomes ALL people,” it “does not affirm a gay lifestyle.” The post, entitled “Do I Love Gay People?”, was written in 2015 following a controversy in which Josh Canfield, a gay man who served as Hillsong’s NYC choir director, was allegedly fired over his sexuality.

The revelation regarding Canfield’s sexuality occurred when he participated as a contestant on the reality show Survivor, during which he stated he was a gay Christian who attended Hillsong. Shortly thereafter, he was fired from his position, according to an article in Church Clarity, a website dedicated to exposing ambiguous church policies.

Below is a list of other celebrities who have had affiliations with Hillsong Church at one of their numerous branches, or who have been spotted attending a service in the past (via People). The list was compiled in 2020, before nine of the branches disassociated with the organization in the last two weeks.

In addition to being known for drawing in celebrities, the myriad scandals above, and its music, Hillsong Church was also known for appealing to young people in general via their Instagram-friendly aesthetic, and even starting a fashion trend, with many of their sporting fedoras.
