That’s right! More than 15 years after its release, it looks like the believed cult classic might be getting a revival. Jennifer’s Body wasn’t well received when it was first released, but over the years, the movie has gained a ionate fan base, and has been rightly hailed as the feminist horror comedy classic it is. That’s why any news of a potential sequel is sure to make waves, and Amanda Seyfried isn’t helping matters by raising everyone’s hopes of Needy’s return.

Seyfried has come a long way since she starred as Needy in the 2009 horror flick. However, the actress has never forgotten the now-iconic role. Jennifer’s Body, directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody, was a commercial failure at the time of its release, but the people who got it– got it.

During a screening of her latest movie, Seven Veils, Seyfried gave a statement to Bloody Disgusting that has all Jennifer’s Body stans at attention. “I think we’re making another one,” she said when asked about a potential sequel. Not to raise too many hopes, she quickly added: “I didn’t confirm it! I said, ‘I think.’ We’re working on it.” But despite trying to gather all the plausible deniability she can, fans heard her loud and clear. And surely, there’s many fans out there anticipating their favorite movie frenemies on screen again. 

Seyfried’s statements are also in line with those made by Diablo Cody when she mentioned earlier this year that she would love to make a Jennifer’s Body reboot. 

Speaking to Deadline at the premiere of her latest horror-comedy, Lisa Frankenstein, she told the outlet that Jennifer’s Body and Lisa Frankenstein take place in the same universe. Cody shared that she had been “trying for the last couple of years” to get a sequel or reboot in the works. “I’m hoping that the fact that a lot of people have been asking me about this this week might be the final push that I need to make it happen,” she said. “Cause, you know, it’s hard to get things made these days.”

What could a Jennifer’s Body sequel look like?

Jennifer’s Body ended on the perfect note, with Needy getting revenge for Jennifer, despite having had to kill her. The movie also touched on multiple themes that resonated with young women, including: female friendship dynamics, sexual abuse, the effects of puberty, beauty standards, and many more, which is why it stood the test of time. But what more stories are there to tell in the world of Jennifer’s Body?

A sequel could place Needy as the main character instead of Jennifer. It could explore her life following the events of the movie. However, fans will surely want the return of Megan Fox. Perhaps Jennifer could be revived, kicking off a brand new journey for both women. Another way that this movie can be revived is through a reboot. The Craft, another feminist horror cult classic, did the same with its 2020 reboot, The Craft: Legacy. However, Legacy didn’t quite hit the nail on the head. Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see if Jennifer and Needy’s characters translate to the modern day. 

America’s closest thing to royalty, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK), shattered all our hearts when news broke about their split. The heavens cried and angels lost their faith, and now we’re learning that poor Fox is still reeling from the whole thing. How could things go so wrong?

The couple seemed so perfect for each other! Two self-centered celebrities desperate for love and adulation from strangers to validate their existences found one another. How can love be real if these two can’t make it?

Oh, and she’s pregnant. So there’s that. It all reportedly went down over Thanksgiving, when the actress found texts from other women on MGK’s phone. Per In Touch Weekly, the Jennifer’s Body actress is “devastated.”

“Yes, she’s the one who ended things, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still love him. She does. She just can’t trust him,” shared the outlet’s source. To be fair, how did she even trust him in the beginning, a guy who went from rapping to punk-pop after being clowned by Eminem? Clearly, love is blind, but even that can’t make one overlook a breach of trust.

Unfortunately, this has happened before. The couple also broke up in 2023 after rumors of, you guessed it, cheating. Seems to be a theme here, right? At the time, she posted a selfie that said, “You can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath.” Then she deleted all of his photos from her Instagram page.

This time she is apparently feeling similar emotions, heightened to an extreme level.

“Megan feels so betrayed. She can’t quite wrap her head around the idea that it’s really over, even though she says she knows it has to be.”

Joking aside, it is pretty crappy that she had just announced the pregnancy on Instagram, with a nude pregnancy photo where she’s covered in oil. How fast things change. The couple previously went through a miscarriage together, something she talked about in an appearance on Good Morning America in November of last year.

“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life. I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately … trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’” she said.

MGK touched on the unfortunate circumstance in his song “Don’t Let Me Go.”

“How can I live with the fact/ That my hand wasn’t on her stomach when we lost the baby,” he said in the song. Even after the couple got engaged in 2022, things never seemed that solid. Fox hinted to that on an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.

“What I can say is that [he] is what I refer to as being my twin soul, and there will always be a tether to him no matter what. I cannot say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow. Beyond that, I’m not willing to explain.”

MGK has been keeping himself busy amidst the breakup. He recently shared a post of himself putting his own spin on the classic Motown song “Last Christmas” on A Motown Christmas, streaming on Peacock. He is keeping himself busy and proudly standing in the spotlight…

If there is even an ounce of truth to the source’s comments about Megan’s current state, then it seems like while MGK has successfully broken the heart of the woman he claimed to love, the Transformers star is still nowhere near close to getting over him.

On Thursday, Dec. 12, the 51-year-old actor encountered one of TMZ’s paparazzi while out and about in Calabasas, California. During the encounter, the tabloid’s staff member asked Green what he thought of Fox’s recent split from MGK. Based on the interview video released by the outlet on the same day, Green appeared taken aback when he heard the question. At the start of the clip, he looked like he was in high spirits while walking to a parking lot with his Starbucks coffee in hand. However, his expression quickly changed after hearing the news.

“I didn’t even know,” Green told the paparazzo once he learned about Fox and MGK breaking up. TMZ’s interviewer then continued by spilling some details about the split, such as how the Transformers actress got upset after finding some “inappropriate” content on the rapper’s phone. Green let out the biggest sigh while listening to the four-one-one.

“How old is he? … He’s in his 30s, isn’t het he?” Green tried to ask calmly. But when the interviewer confirmed that the rapper was indeed 30, he quickly rolled his eyes and urged MGK — currently aged 34 — to “grow up” because his partner’s “pregnant.”

Clarifying why he was reacting this way, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum said, “I just want the best for her. I want the best for the baby. I want the best for our kids. That’s a shame.”

As for Fox, it may take more time before she can get over whatever it was she found on his phone. But for the time being, she’s “stronger than ever and in a really good place,” so she does not mind co-parenting her baby with Baker.

Earlier this week a video of the Subservience co-stars acting flirty with each other while arguing how to pronounce Spongebob had viewers swooning at their undeniable chemistry. The Italian star even tagged his leading lady in the clip and called her “an incredible beautiful soul.” But any hope of a budding romance happening between the two was quickly shattered by the actor’s representative who said, “Any accusations beyond a work friendship are simply untrue. They filmed a movie together a year ago. Michele is currently in Italy filming another project.”

The denial was indeed swift but probably for the best as Fox, who is months along in her pregnancy, is said to be hoping to get back together with her ex-fiancé MGK, real name Colson Baker. The exes reportedly broke up during Thanksgiving weekend in Colorado after she “found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting.”

It’s said they “broke up late in November” and tried to work through their relationship for the sake of their baby. But they still ended up constantly fighting because they are “both too hot-headed” that they “can’t get on the same page and it’s not easy for them being together.”

But it’s not totally over for the exes. A source said there’s still hope for a reconciliation, saying that they may be “done for now” but “could very well be back together” when the baby arrives. Fox’s pregnancy was reportedly “bringing them closer” because “they were always into having a child together.”

Another insider noted that Fox and MGK’s relationship has “always been rocky” and that they “had their ups and downs.” But both were doing their best in trying to make the relationship work by being “proactive in therapy and very spiritual and honest with one another.” Even the musician “made some huge life changes” so he can be “the best partner and parent that he can be.”

Its also worth mentioning that this is not the first time the pair have called it quits. In March, Fox confirmed that she and MGK ended their engagement at some point in 2023. They were later spotted looking cozy together just months before her pregnancy announcement in November, suggesting that they had gotten back together.

Never underestimate the appeal of Megan Fox:  she launched Subservience, a movie destined for lukewarm reception at best, to the top of the Netflix film rankings through sheer star power (and heavily sexualized marketing, but that’s a conversation for later). 

Though nothing new in of plot, the movie has found its footing among horror fans and even sets itself up for a potential sequel, albeit predictably. Who among us would ever expect the incredibly lifelike —and, it turns out, anatomically correct— AI would evolve beyond her programming and wreak havoc in order to win the heart of the human who purchased her?

Heck, this is the plot of several such films, including the Disney Channel Original classic, Smart House. Granted, the father in that film does not sleep with the titular House, but you get the idea. 

As of writing, Netflix hasn’t confirmed a Subservience sequel. The film’s director, S.K. Dale, has expressed interest in continuing the story, telling ComicBook.com that he loves “the way it finishes off,” but that “we needed the audience to know that there is more to come.” If he were to direct a sequel, Dale has some ideas on where to take it.

“I think if we were to expand on the story, I would really want to explore the evolution of the AI, as she becomes more self aware.” He would also want a potential sequel to focus on the family after suffering at the hands of Fox’s Alice. “In of the functioning of this fractured family trying to find that unity, I like how this narrative path plays out,” says Dale. “And I like the open-endedness that we have, too.”  

Still, getting a sequel greenlit relies on the film’s streaming performance. ittedly, Subservience is doing well on Netflix, but how often has the streamer shut down a successful potential franchise for seemingly no good reason? And, do we really need another AI horror movie? Subservience poses good questions about the role of AI in our society as well as the human propensity to avoid pain at any cost, but it also does little with exploring potential answers to those questions, at least not in a way we haven’t seen before. There are good moments — especially in the first half — but the film’s predictability detracts from the parts we’d like to see more of. 

The actors’ performances in Subservience, especially Fox’s, are undeniably great. Fox shines as the android Alice, and uses her often-exploited sex appeal combined with her under-utilized acting chops to create a character who is as unsettling as she is beautiful. It calls to mind her performance as Jennifer Check in Jennifer’s Body, where Jennifer similarly uses her conventionally attractive appearance to fulfill a dastardly purpose. Unfortunately, Subservience never truly delves into Alice’s motivations to turn full-blown evil nor why her programming led her to deduce she needs to have sex with the man who bought her in the first place, and it’s worse for it.

Subservience is clearly set up for a sequel, but the jury’s out on whether one will happen. If it does, and if Fox returns, it should explore new territory rather than retread plot lines we’ve seen over and over again. With fresher writing, perhaps the new film can explore more ideas beyond, “Is AI good or bad?” and “What if your hot housemaid robot was Megan Fox?”

Welcome back,” the caption said. Fox was reportedly about four months pregnant when she shared that post, meaning she’s due sometime in March. Fox left Instagram last year amid another rough patch in Fox and MGK’s romance.

Meanwhile, MGK addressed the pregnancy on X and seemed happy about the news, writing, “Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch.” He added, “When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don’t worry. after all, [I’m] about to be a dad again!” Kelly wrote. MGK has one daughter from a previous relationship.

So, who’s that hot guy in the video?

But as news spread that Fox and MGK split, some online speculated it could be because of a video Fox shared with her Subservience co-star, Michele Morrone. Posts on that topic included the following:

But a Morrone rep shot down rumors his client was involved the same day the MGK-Fox breakup was announced. “Any accusations beyond a work friendship are simply untrue,” Morrone’s rep told TMZ. “They filmed a movie together a year ago. Michele is currently in Italy filming another project,” the rep said.

TMZ provided no further information on what happened between Fox and Kelly — legal name Colson Baker, who these days goes by MGK — and multiple reports state the former couple declined to comment. But this isn’t the first time the high-profile couple has split up. The Transformers star and the “Wild Boy” singer got together in 2020 and engaged two years later. Since then, they’ve been on and off as rumors of infidelity on MGK’s part have swirled around the couple.

One such cheating rumor involved MGK guitarist Sophie Lloyd, who told Page Six in a statement last year, “Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship [is] untrue. It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”

At the same time, Fox wrote on Instagram in February, referring to the Lloyd cheating rumors, “There has been no third-party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes, but is not limited to … actual humans, DMs, AI bots or succubus demons.”

Fox added, “While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now.”

But as recently as March this year, Fox told Call Her Daddy podcast host Alex Cooper the engagement was off. “I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se,” she added.

From the opening scene, it’s obvious that Juno isn’t like other teen comedies. Elliot Page’s wry commentary as the title character sets the tone for a unique tale about growing up.

Like many teenagers, Juno (Page) is at odds with herself. In love with her best friend, Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera), she is unable — or unwilling — to tell him. Instead, the two have spontaneous sex, resulting in an unplanned pregnancy. This event sets Juno on a course that teaches her about love, friendships, and what is important to her. While no films are a one-for-one comparison of this classic, there are many with similar tone and themes that fans should explore after watching Juno.

1. Jennifer’s Body (2009) – Hulu

High school is never easy, especially when your best friend is a literal man-eating beast. Jennifer’s Body was wildly underappreciated at the box office when it premiered, but Diablo Cody’s follow-up to Juno should not be discounted. With equal parts gore and humor, the film is a feminist text about how society views women and the intricacies of female relationships. 

Jennifer (Megan Fox) may seem like a hateful demon, but it is only because society made her that way. Particularly when an indie rock band sacrifices her to Satan for a shot at fame. Or so they think. Turning into a succubus, she starts eating her way through the boys in town. The irony featured in the film is a horror spin on Juno and remains a cult classic.

2. Easy A (2010) – Amazon Prime

Following the success of Superbad, Emma Stone kept going with the high school theme. This time, it was an extremely loose, modernized telling of The Scarlet Letter. Stone stars as Olive, a girl whose little lies amount to a massive reputation. After lying to her best friend that she lost her virginity, she gets a reputation as the school harlot. 

She allows boys to claim they’ve slept with her to boost their egos, and starts pinning an A on all her clothes, like Hester from Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel. A love letter to many high school films of the ‘80s, Easy A constructs a clever narrative with a hilarious take on a classic.

3. Little Miss Sunshine (2006) – Hulu

It is hard to pull off a movie that is quirky as well as sincere, but Little Miss Sunshine fits the bill. A celebrated film at Sundance, the movie stars a young Abigail Breslin as Olive Hoover, an aspiring beauty queen. Though not who you think of as a beauty queen in a traditional sense, her family s her implicitly as they drive from Albuquerque to California for a contest. The ing cast — which includes Toni Collette, Paul Dano, Greg Kinnear, and Alan Arkin in an Oscar-winning turn — is just as important, as they all experience emotional setbacks during the film. Serious as well as comedic, Little Miss Sunshine earned all of its accolades.

4. Booksmart (2019) – Peacock

Before the media firestorm that was Don’t Worry Darling, Olivia Wilde had a much more successful run in her directorial debut, Booksmart. A back-to-school movie from the female perspective, it follows best friends Molly (Beanie Feldstein) and Amy (Kaitlyn Dever), who have sacrificed high school social lives to get into good schools. 

On the last day of school, Molly is flabbergasted to learn that the popular kids also got into good colleges. Realizing that they wasted years of having fun, Molly and Amy decide to have one last hurrah at a high school party. Friendships are tested and laughs are had in a movie that shows nerds can have fun too.

5. The Edge of Seventeen (2016) – Amazon Prime

No, the Hailee Steinfeld vehicle sadly does not have vocals from Stevie Nicks. But it does accurately portray the loneliness of coming of age. Steinfeld plays Nadine, a high schooler dealing with the trauma of growing up.

Still dealing with the death of her father, she feels even more alone when her best friend, Krista (Haley Lu Richardson) starts dating her popular brother (Blake Jenner). With a mother she can’t agree with, and a best friend being phased from her life, the only person she can seemingly connect with is her dry teacher, Mr. Bruner (Woody Harrelson). Many teen comedies can show the awkwardness of growing up, but The Edge of Seventeen does it with a level of truthfulness rarely seen. 

6. Ghost World (2001) – Apple TV

Based on the Dan Clowes-penned comic of the same name, the 2001 cult film is a dark take on growing up. Though humorous, it posits themes of loss of individuality and the pain of moving on. After Enid (Thora Birch) and Rebecca (Scarlett Johansson) graduate high school, they languish aimlessly in their hometown, unsure of what they should do with their lives. As summer progresses, the two grow apart, with their cynicism taking over the trajectory of their lives. Growing up is hard to experience and sometimes even harder to watch. But at least you can laugh while doing git.

7. Moonrise Kingdom (2012) – Apple TV

As with all Wes Anderson films, Moonrise Kingdom has a specific perspective. Set against the backdrop of a fictional New England town, the film takes heavy inspiration from the French New Wave of the ‘60s. Lighthearted and humorous, it follows two adolescents, Suzy (Kara Hayward) and Sam (Jared Gilman), who find love in a hopeless place. They run away together, incurring a panic from the town as authority figures try to track them down. Moonrise Kingdom balances quirkiness with a nostalgic appreciation for young love.

8. Lisa Frankenstein (2024) – Amazon Prime

Allegedly set in the same universe as Jennifer’s Body, Lisa Frankenstein takes a gothic look at young love. Kathryn Newton stars as Lisa, a teenager in the ‘80s who can’t connect with anyone. She spends her time talking to the corpse of a dead Victorian man in a graveyard (Cole Sprouse) until one day, he comes to life. Despite being from different times, the two find common ground and, of course, love. Lisa Frankenstein posits that there really is someone for everyone in a twist on the classic Mary Shelley tale.

9. Clueless (1995) – Hulu

Adapted from the Jane Austen classic, Emma, Clueless takes the story of the oblivious matchmaker and sets her in a 1990’s California high school. Cher (Alicia Silverstone) seems to have it all. Looks, wealth, and no worries. After a new student, Tai (Brittany Murphy), transfers schools, Cher takes it upon herself to remake her in her own image. 

While these intentions come from a good place, everything Cher does ultimately backfires. She realizes she doesn’t understand anything, let alone her own heart. Despite Cher’s cluelessness, the film views the protagonist with love and appreciation as she finally realizes that love is in front of her the entire time.

10. Ladybird (2017) – Tubi

Mother-daughter relationships are often fraught, and this is explored deeply in Greta Gerwig’s personal film, Ladybird. As with many teenage girls, Ladybird (Saoirse Ronan) is in transition. Though her given name is Christine, she has insisted on going by her self-proclaimed nickname as she traverses her final year of high school. Though her coming of age is painful, it is also humorous, and she ultimately accepts herself as she is and not who she is pretending to be.

11. Adventureland (2009) – Amazon Prime

A period comedy set in the late ‘80s, Adventureland features the difficult period after college. When James (Jesse Eisenberg) realizes he doesn’t have enough money to travel abroad, he takes a job at an amusement park. There, he forms memories but also falls for a fellow employee, Em (Kristen Stewart). 

The chemistry between the two actors makes for a comedy for the ages, but it also shows the realism of relationships. Both make mistakes and come to with their shortcomings. With Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, and Ryan Reynolds in ing roles, this offbeat dramedy is highly underrated. 

12. Saved! (2004) – Amazon Prime

Teen pregnancy is complicated enough, but throw in organized religion, and it’s a whole different set of circumstances. Mary (Jena Malone) believes herself to be a good Christian girl, but that changes when her boyfriend, Dean (Chad Faust), comes out to her. 

In an effort to save him, they have sex, which results in a teen pregnancy. Dean gets sent away to a Christian reform school, leaving Mary alone to deal with the ramifications. The further she gets along in her pregnancy, the more she sees the hypocrisy of her religious high school. Saved! sets the typical trope of teen pregnancy in an uncommon setting to show that love and acceptance comes out of the most unexpected places. 

13. Whip It (2009) – Hulu

In Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut, Whip It celebrates individuality in a world of conformity. Bliss Cavendar (Elliot Page) lives in small-town Texas, enduring her mother’s love of beauty pageants. Only when she discovers the world of roller derby, does she find out who she truly is. Page excels in the material that shows humor as well as the merits of finding your — well — bliss.

14. Young Adult (2011) – Amazon Prime

Sometimes coming-of-age stories don’t always happen in our formative years. Sometimes achieving maturity takes a while, like in the case of the 2011 film, Young Adult. The dark comedy stars Charlize Theron as Mavis Gray, a recent divorcee who returns to her hometown to strike up a relationship with an old flame. 

The only problem is that her high school ex is now married with a baby. Mavis takes no part in the logic of those around her, such as Matt (Patton Oswalt), who urges her to seek therapy. Throughout her experiences, Mavis learns to become a better person — whether she wants to or not.

15. Sugar & Spice (2001) – Apple TV

In many teen films, pregnancy is a consequence often followed by lessons to be learned. In Sugar & Spice, however, it is just the inciting incident. After a whirlwind romance, Jack (James Marsden) and Diane (Marley Shelton) get pregnant and quickly learn the realities of the world. 

The relationship between the two remains strong, but they still need to get ahead. And what can two high school students with no real-world experience do to get ahead? By robbing a bank, of course. Diane enlists the help of her cheerleading squad to be able to provide for her family. There is no moral lesson to be learned in this film. Just hilarious, campy fun.

16. Empire Records (1995) – Hulu

Oh, the days when music was sold in record shops, and you could spend all day jamming with your friends. Empire Records is a relic of a different time, but always worth a rewatch. Taking place in the day of the life of working at the record store in question, five friends experience the trials of growing up while their boss tries to keep the store afloat. Accompanied by the classic music of the era, the film is a time capsule about love, loss, and the best times of your life.

Let’s be completely honest here: hardly anyone ever considers the possibility of celebrities liking anime, especially because until recently, it was almost a niche interest shared by a few people who shamefully whispered the word “otaku” online, almost as if it were a dirty little secret.

Thankfully, those days are far behind us now, and anime has finally gathered the legion of fans worldwide it deserves, with everyone unapologetically sharing their favorite anime on the internet. And, of course, celebrities are also ing the roster. Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of actors, musicians, and directors sharing their favorite shows and movies, but one thing that was often overlooked is exactly how many A-list celebrities actually have anime as their favorite medium — or at least, one of their favorites.

For that reason, we’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest celebrities who have time and time again shared their love for Japanese anime, undeniably considering themselves “weebs.”

Megan Thee Stallion

At this point, we all know that the biggest anime fan among celebrities is the one and only Megan Thee Stallion — as if we ever needed more reasons to love her. From music videos to cosplays, and even song references, Megan incorporates her favorite anime in her craft time and time again. For this reason, we know that her favorite anime are Black Clover, My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Attack on Titan. With just a few shy days away from presenting the 2024 Crunchyroll Awards, we can almost certainly affirm that we’re just as excited about the event as she is.

Of course, if BTS and Megan are besties, it only makes sense that one of the reasons behind their strong bond is their love for anime — friendships are sustained by common interests, after all. Over their decade-old career, several have shared their anime expertise time and time again (even J-Hope). With most of them being absolutely obsessed with filling their very limited free time with anime, we’ve come to discover over the years that many of their favorites are One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball, and Haikyuu!!!

Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino is a man of peculiar tastes, and apparently, anime is among them. While it’s not entirely surprising for a Western director to be an anime fan — most are assumed to have enjoyed some Studio Ghibli films — few have been as vocal about their favorite anime as Tarantino. According to the director, his top anime films include Ghost in the Shell and Blood: The Last Vampire. So much so, that he allegedly commissioned Production I.G to create O-Ren Ishii’s (Cottonmouth’s) backstory scene in Kill Bill: Vol. 1.

Michael B. Jordan

If Megan Thee Stallion reigns as the Queen of Anime among celebrities, then Michael B. Jordan assumes the mantle of King. In Creed III, a film directed by Jordan himself, numerous scenes draw heavy inspiration from a lengthy list of anime, as revealed by the actor. Additionally, during a BBC Radio 1 interview, Jordan advocated for watching anime, suggesting a starting lineup comprising One Piece, Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Bleach, and Hunter x Hunter. Taste.

Kanye West

Controversial and talented might as well be Kanye “Ye” West’s middle name, but what no one could have assumed about the rapper, is that he’s quite the anime fan. Ye has often expressed to draw inspiration for music from several animated films, including Akira — which also happens to be his favorite movie of all time. Similarly, in his docu-series Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy, the designer also recommends someone to watch the 1985 mystery anime film Angel’s Egg, and he’s also mentioned the manga Lupin the Third in the song “Touch the Sky.”

Jamie Lee Curtis

Now, Jamie Lee Curtis hasn’t mentioned anime very often, but she does have one of my favorite anime-related stories of all time. Even before the news of a One Piece live-action adaptation came out, the Everything Everywhere All At Once actress consistently advocated and campaigned to be cast as Kureha. Now that a live-action is officially in full force, and Drum Island is expected to be adapted during season two, we can only hope that Jamie Lee Curtis has her wish fulfilled at long last.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s love for anime has always been on display for all of us to see. The “Thank U, Next” singer has several tattoos across her body depicting some of her favorite and most impactful anime. At this point in time, Grande has at least 61 known tattoos, two of which are anime-inspired. One of Grande’s most loved tattoos among fans is that of Spirited Away’s Chihiro on her right arm, and a few years later, on her upper arm, she got a tattoo of Eevee, her favorite Pokémon.

Megan Fox

Now, I assume not many of you knew Megan Fox was a huge anime fan; I certainly didn’t. But upon further inspection, I can confidently proclaim Megan as a certified weeb. In an old interview for Seventeen, the actress shared that she started watching anime as a kid on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network and eventually evolved into reading graphic novels (we’ve all been there). According to Megan herself, she watched anime like Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha, fell in love with the art, and to this day, she still adores anime and manga.

Robin Williams

The late Robin Williams never let his age get in the way of his love for anime. The highly acclaimed actor of Dead Poets Society proved time and again his penchant for anime, frequently recommending his favorite titles. In an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, Williams shared his most-played video games, along with his favorite anime and anime films, including Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and Blood: The Last Vampire. However, it appears he wasn’t particularly familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist.

John Boyega

Apparently, being a brilliant actor will not keep you away from anime — just ask Star Wars’ John Boyega. As another certified weeb (yes, I just christened him that), Boyega has taken time out of his day, time and time again, to boast about anime as a limitless medium and, of course, about his favorite anime. According to the actor, Attack on Titan, Naruto, The Seven Deadly Sins, Hunter x Hunter, and Bleach are among his favorite titles. Amazing taste, but I recommend One Piece next, Boyega.

Five couples got engaged in season 6 of Love is Blind, which blessedly left much of the mess of season 5 behind. With the official release of the season’s second part ⏤ which takes the couples through their honeymoons and back into the real world ⏤ people are picking their favorite participants and rooting for at least a few successful weddings.

We’ll see who has what it takes to last as the remainder of the season rolls out, but a number of fans remain in the weeds over one specific topic: One participant’s ission of her celebrity lookalike. While in the pods — notably participating in an experiment that removes looks from the equation — the sweet but insecure Chelsea told her eventual fiancé Jimmy that people think she looks like Megan Fox. That comparison was enough to light a firestorm among viewers, some of whom see no resemblance and others of whom are in full of Chelsea’s statement. Still more think any mention of looks betrays the whole point of the experiment.

Who is Love is Blind‘s Megan Fox lookalike?

Chelsea may have made a mistake in bringing up her looks at all, but what’s done is done. She told Jimmy that while she personally doesn’t see it, people have told her she looks like Jennifer’s Body star Fox. And, considering the main thing Fox is known for is being singularly attractive, that pretty much made up Jimmy’s mind.

Then the pair met in person and, while plenty of people have said they do see a resemblance, Jimmy is clearly not among them. He went so far as to say Chelsea “lied” to him about how she looked, but here’s the thing: did she? She shouldn’t have brought looks into the equation at all, that’s true, but at the end of the day she explicitly said, “I don’t see it, so don’t get excited.” And what did Jimmy do? Decide she was a Megan Fox clone, get excited, and then end up disappointed.

Chelsea has a lot to offer despite the insecurities currently weighing her down in the experiment, and what I see as a massive mistake in saying yes to Jimmy instead of Trevor. She’s a flight attendant with an adventurous sprit, she’s independent, outdoorsy, and she laughs easily. The 31-year-old is clearly prepped and ready to find her forever person, but it’s still unclear if that person is Jimmy.

Online, people have made the Chelsea/Fox comparison a lynchpin of current Love is Blind conversations. It seems that half the web is invested in the debate as they consider whether Chelsea’s dark hair, light eyes, and face shape are enough to draw comparisons. The debate is still raging, even as the story shifts to fresh drama and blossoming hurdles, and Chelsea is happily fanning the flames. She’s chatted about the topic over on social media several times, first jokingly asking people who see the similarities to step up and say so, and later re-sharing discussions among fans.

Regardless of where you land, its a funny situation that only reality television could birth. Where else do you go to find a fanbase invested enough to argue online over someone else’s celebrity lookalike?
