NCIS: Origins has given the people what they want (more Jethro Gibbs) but the Fall 2024 finale has basically ruined every fan’s life.

Alright, that might be too dramatic, but then again, the tone of season 1, episode 10, “Blue Bayou” was so melancholy that it feels just dramatic enough. Gibbs’ apartment manager Ruth (London Garcia) es away from a fatal blood cancer, after they chatted and connected when he was younger. There are two brutal moments in the episode: when Gibbs learns Ruth is sick (no!) and when he finds out she has died.

On a scale of “oh, that’s sad” to “that’s completely devastating and I’m never going to be okay again,” I’m the latter, and a lot of other fans feel that way, too. As one X explained, they “seriously became attached to Ruth in one episode and now she’s gone.” This was super cruel! Gibbs has already lost his family, and now he’s losing another important person? Who decided this?

Others proclaimed their adoration of Ruth, with one writing “Ruth is the best!” and another saying she is “the person Gibbs needed at that time.” Viewers mostly expressed the same sentiment: watching Ruth made them cry. Ruth only appeared in episodes 7 and 10, but everyone loved her no-nonsense vibe. Can everyone have a landlord-turned-friend who is so charming and nice?

NCIS: Origins co-showrunner David J. North told TV Line, “This whole episode means so much to us here. It’s really why Gina and I got into this.” North and Gina Lucita Monreal also spoke to Deadline about this powerful episode, which is more emotional drama than action-packed thriller. North explained that Ruth is the reason why Gibbs becomes successful because “Ruth was there for him when no one else was” and “led him to believe that this could be a career for him.”

Ruth is a special character because, as the showrunners explained, viewers knew Gibbs killed Pedro Hernandez because he murdered his daughter and wife. But “Blue Bayou” created a richer inner world for Gibbs at this time in his life and added more detail to this plot point. Instead of showing him as an angry and emotionally distant agent who works hard so he doesn’t have to face his feelings, which can be the case with shows that are less well-done than NCIS, the prequel series let viewers see him in a more vulnerable state. I also loved these scenes because Austin Stowell really owned them, and he’s doing an awesome job playing a younger version of Mark Harmon’s iconic character.

Since NCIS: Origins season 1 got a full season, I would have loved to see Ruth in more episodes. She forces Gibbs to his training when he ends up in jail after fighting with someone in a bar and knows that he’s better than that. It’s amazing to think about whether he would have gone on this journey without her presence. This episode is proof that you never know who’s going to impact you. Your landlord or neighbor who you only see a few times could seriously alter your life and change it for the better. That’s a nice thought, right? But you know what might be even sadder than Ruth’s death? The fact that, like other network dramas, NCIS: Origins is taking a winter break and the next episode will air on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025. Alright, that’s not quite as bad, but it’s still a tragedy.

‘NCIS: Origins’ just learned whether or not it’s getting a full-season pickup https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/ncis-origins-just-learned-whether-or-not-its-getting-a-full-season-pickup/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/ncis-origins-just-learned-whether-or-not-its-getting-a-full-season-pickup/#respond Fri, 08 Nov 2024 00:03:43 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1786721 So... is it?!]]>

Do TV fans need a prequel series about a beloved, good-looking character solving mysteries and disregarding their personal life? Yes! That’s the joy of the prequel series NCIS: Origins about Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991. Fans appreciate every moment, which is why everyone wants to hear this news.

Let’s rejoice because CBS picked up NCIS: Origins for a full season. The fantastic news just keeps coming because there are going to be 18 episodes.

Even more wonderful news: viewers are treated to Mark Harmon’s voiceovers throughout NCIS: Origins season 1, and they’re well-crafted, too. This device can be terribly corny, but not this time. David J. North, one of the showrunners of the prequel, said in an interview with Parade that the voiceovers are about “honoring the canon while really highlighting the things we know, and going in more depth while also creating the new stories and the other characters that surrounded him.”

Since only five episodes of NCIS: Origins have aired on CBS so far, it’s amazing to hear that it has already been renewed for an entire season. Viewers have seen a younger Gibbs getting started at Camp Pendleton and dealing with a disappearance and a murder. But the real weight of the story lies in Gibbs’ coping with his daughter and wife, who ed away. This was always a key part of the character’s background, but it’s important to watch Gibbs in the middle of his grief and loss instead of many years later.

Anyone who is unsure of prequels in general, or is skeptical of seeing an NCIS prequel in particular since the original series is still going strong (and on season 22!), can rest assured that this show is well-done. Prequels should tell a part of a story that fans actually want to hear. That’s not always the case, and that’s why we got two The Exorcist prequels. But, besides telling a beautiful tale about the hardships of moving on after the death of loved ones, NCIS: Origins also crafts a story about starting your career. The younger Gibbs has a lot of spunk and a lot of dreams. That’s relatable, even if your job has nothing to do with solving cases.

There’s a lot to love about NCIS: Origins. The series could have de-aged Harmon, but no one wanted that, let’s be real. Instead, the show has introduced fans to some awesome new talent. Harmon told People that when Stowell’s audition was over, “someone said, ‘I’ll just say it, that’s a movie star.’”

If fans are loving watching Stowell, he’s also having a grand old time portraying a version of the iconic NCIS character. He said the vibe of the show is “more in the vein of a ‘True Detective’ or, you know, a darker crime piece” than the more light-hearted OG series NCIS. The actor, who also starred in Three Women and A Friend of the Family, said Gibbs “has to use his brain and use his heart” which “makes him the most super of the heroes because it’s real.” He added, “It’s something that we can all accomplish.” Aw! That’s so sweet.

So, now that fans can bask in the good news that NCIS: Origins will continue, it’s time to get ready for the next episode, which will air Monday Nov. 11, 2024 on CBS.

‘I hate it here’: ‘NCIS’ keeps making the wrong choice for a beloved couple as fan despair skyrockets https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/i-hate-it-here-ncis-keeps-making-the-wrong-choice-for-a-beloved-couple-as-fan-despair-skyrockets/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/i-hate-it-here-ncis-keeps-making-the-wrong-choice-for-a-beloved-couple-as-fan-despair-skyrockets/#respond Wed, 06 Nov 2024 00:50:54 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1783770 Enough with the “will they/ won’t they,” already!]]>

NCIS has released some episodes that have left fans inconsolable, and season 22 is making viewers more emotional than listening to The Tortured Poets Department for the 100th (or millionth) time.

On NCIS season 22, episode 5, “Sticks & Stones,” Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) took a drive and said they still love each other. Perfect, right? Not so fast! Instead of deciding that their break up was a bad idea, they were practical and agreed it’s not the right time for them. Jimmy wants a partner who will stay in town and build a life with him, and Jess is in her dreamer nomad era.

It’s awesome that Law is still on NCIS when fans were concerned she was exiting the drama, but viewers just can’t accept that this super couple is still broken up! Several people posted on X about this memorable and upsetting moment from the latest episode. One X wrote, “The way we don’t know when or if Jess and Jimmy will get back together because the scene sounded so final I hate it here.”

Another X pointed out an important plot point from this NCIS episode: Jessica discovering Jimmy is signed up for a dating app called MateQuest. What a flawless name. Even if you can’t stand your ex and are thrilled you split up, you still don’t want to see them move on, right? So, the fact that Jess still cares so much about Jimmy makes this moment sting even more.

If Jess and Jimmy can’t reunite soon, it’s going to be a long and tough season. Back in May, Dietzen told Us Weekly that he enjoys the romance between these brilliant characters because it’s “this very adult relationship” and they “communicate.” He also explained that rather than have Jimmy and Jess “make eyes at each other from across the room for eight years,” they are “two people who actually talk about what they’re feeling.”

I agree that it’s cool that this NCIS couple has realistic conversations about what’s next for them and this sets them apart from other TV drama pairs. Real couples have to figure out logistical challenges like where they’re going to live and if their jobs are going to take them away from each other.

I totally sympathize with writers because sometimes they jump the shark and fans are no longer as interested. I will ship Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) or Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia) all day long (do people still say “ship”?). But even I can it that it’s more fun and absorbing to watch them in the early seasons of Gilmore Girls than seeing them actually start dating. And, judging from posts on X, Dietzen makes a good point. The storytelling rule that fans prefer flirty banter and the will they/won’t they tension of love interests shouldn’t apply to NCIS. It’s fine for these characters to be in love with no conflict whatsoever. Let’s leave the drama to the cases the agents have to solve.

Fans want Jess and Jimmy to have the fairy tale love story they used to have. Okay, maybe it wasn’t always that flawless since Jimmy is a doctor and Jess is a Special Agent. But everyone wants them together, not apart. It’s time to fix this massive problem!

Is McGee leaving ‘NCIS?’ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-mcgee-leaving-ncis/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-mcgee-leaving-ncis/#respond Mon, 21 Oct 2024 07:25:05 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1771977 Actor Sean Murray has been on the show since its debut season. ]]>

There’s something truly special about a TV show that can go 22 seasons and still have a dedicated fanbase glued to their screens week after week. That’s the magic of NCIS, a show that’s seen it all, from love to loss and high-stakes drama, alongside almost 500 episodes of pure action.

Over the years, NCIS has become the longest-running U.S. primetime live-action procedural. With such an extended run, there’s undertandably been a constant shuffle of characters in and out of the show, but the few that have remained have allowed the heart and soul of NCIS to keep beating strong.

Among those is Timothy McGee, played by actor Sean Murray, who has become an irreplaceable part of the team. McGee recently ran for the position of NCIS Deputy Director, and the most recent episode delivered the ultimate conclusion. For most fans, the shift appeared to indicate that McGee will be taking on additional tasks behind the scenes, away from the fieldwork we’ve been so accustomed to watching.

But, given recent developments, might this be an elaborate cover for McGee’s gradual withdrawal from NCIS, or worse, a surprise exit from the show entirely?

McGee ed over for NCIS Deputy Director

After being apart for so long, the squad unexpectedly reunites after Torres’ cover is exposed, forcing an urgent inquiry to discover who revealed his identity. As they successfully locate the person giving information to the cartel, a deeper mystery emerges, and that’s the existence of a mole within NCIS.

The team’s suspicions shift to Department of Justice Inspector General Gabriel LaRoche (Seamus Dever), who has been secretly examining NCIS. Things take a shocking turn when McGee, who was hoped to be chosen Deputy Director, discovers that he has not only lost his post but that it has been given to LaRoche.

Now our beloved McGee, after years of dedication, finds himself ed over for the promotion, and that naturally leaves him disappointed. We can already deduce that the big bad this season is definitely Laroche, but the decision to give such power to someone as potentially dangerous as him hints at major turmoil within NCIS, setting the stage for a tense and dramatic season ahead.

Where does this leave McGee and NCIS going forward this season?

McGee missing out on the Deputy Director position is disappointing, especially after the emotional and professional journey he has been on since the early days of NCIS. But does this mean McGee’s time on the show is coming to an end? Well, not necessarily.

While McGee’s failure to get promoted is disappointing, it does not mean he is leaving NCIS. If anything, it adds a new level of drama to his tale, which has the potential to be one of the most intriguing of the season.

McGee has been a team stalwart for years, and just because he did not get the top post does not imply his fieldwork or leadership role is finished. If anything, this setback may motivate him to re-establish himself as a valuable component of the squad, giving fans an opportunity to see him in a fresh light.

Murray himself has commented on the future of his character in the past, saying earlier this year that while he maintains the status of the show’s longest-running cast member, “no one is quite safe” in of their chracters’ fate, adding that “you never know what’s going to happen.” Fans will just have to wait and see how the rest of the season unfolds, and whether McGee still has a place in the NCIS team.

The 10 saddest episodes of ‘NCIS’, ranked https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/the-10-saddest-episodes-of-ncis-ranked/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/the-10-saddest-episodes-of-ncis-ranked/#respond Wed, 21 Aug 2024 21:34:38 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1742659 Bring out that box of tissues.]]>

At first glance, NCIS isn’t a particularly sad show. Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team live life on the edge and are in danger 24/7, but there are plenty of funny moments to balance out any scares. However, because of many character deaths and surprisingly emotional scenes, there are more than a few episodes of the series that are anything but joyful.

These NCIS episodes just might make you cry… and wonder if there will be any devastating moments in season 22 of the CBS drama.

10. Season 15, episode 22, “Two Steps Back”

Photo via CBS

“Two Steps Back” is a scary and sad NCIS episode since it involves an assassination attempt on Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and is also her final episode. Although she survives, Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry) es away. It’s upsetting to watch these popular characters leave and a harsh reminder that no one on the show (or anyone watching) is promised tomorrow.

9. Season 19, Episode 4, “Great Wide Open”

Mark Harmon as Special Agent Gibbs in 'NCIS'.

How could the episode when Gibbs left NCIS not be one of the most tear-inducing?! Since he thankfully didn’t die or get into a scary accident (with this show, you never know), this isn’t as melancholy as it could be. But it’s still hard to watch Gibbs and the other characters come to with the fact that they won’t see each other anymore. A scene between Gibbs and Ducky Mallard (David McCallum) is particularly charming as Ducky expresses concern about Gibbs’s next steps in life. When fans learn Gibbs is now in Alaska, they know he’ll be okay… but can’t help but miss him already.

8. Season 15, episode 14, “Keep Your Friends Close”

Photo via CBS

Since this entire episode isn’t sad (and everything ends up alright in the next episode), it’s ranked at number 8, but the final moments are gut-wrenching. When a nearby car explodes, Jaqueline Sloane (Maria Bello) is knocked out, and it’s unclear if she’s going to make it. While fans know from episode 15 that Sloane survives, it’s still awful to imagine that she could lose her life while working on a case involving a serial killer, which is already scary.

7. Season 14, episode 10, “The Tie That Binds”

David McCallum as Ducky on NCIS

This Christmas episode (yay) features Ducky (also yay) but sees him reflecting on a family tragedy (okay, not so great). He thinks about the death of his mom, who had Alzheimer’s, and her romance with a con artist, Balthazar Kilmeany (Charles Shaughnessy).

6. Season 4, episode 16, “Dead Man Walking”

Roy and Ziva talking in a hospital room on NCIS

Lieutenant Roy Sanders (Matthew Marsden)’s heartbreaking season 4 storyline is shocking and gripping (someone poisoned Roy and he knows he’s about to die and asks the team to crack the case). It ends with Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Roy wishing they had more time together because of their chemistry. Since Roy isn’t a main character, this episode isn’t as devastating as some other episodes, but it’s still upsetting.

5. Season 11, episode 24, “Honor Thy Father”

Mark Harmon as Gibbs at a funeral on NCIS

The best NCIS episodes dive into Gibbs’s past, so “Honor Thy Father” stands out as being particularly great (and very sad). When Gibbs learns that his dad Jackson (Ralph Waite) ed away from a stroke, he has a hard time because they didn’t get along well for years. It was tough for them to interact after Gibbs’s mom’s ing. Although NCIS isn’t always realistic, many can relate to the complicated process of grieving a relative when the relationship wasn’t perfect. Waite’s 2014 death makes this episode even more poignant.

4. Season 2, episode 23, “Twilight”

Sasha Alexander in NCIS
Photo via CBS

While the NCIS team takes down terrorists all the time, they aren’t able to stop Ari Haswari (Rudolph Martin) from killing Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander) at the end of season 2. This is one of the saddest episodes of the CBS drama since the shocking and tragic moment happens out of nowhere. It’s also unexpected since Kate is done working a case and thinks she’s in the clear. Although it’s never easy when a fan-favorite character dies, Kate was particularly popular and it’s a shame that she left the show so early.

3. Season 3, episode 24, “Hiatus (Part II)”

Mark Harmon as Gibbs in NCIS
Image via CBS

Gibbs’s terrible family history is an important thread throughout his NCIS arc, and it’s hard to keep the emotions at bay when watching this season 3 episode. Gibbs has amnesia, and believes he is still in Kuwait nursing an injury in 1991. It’s tough to see independent and always-in-charge Gibbs in a vulnerable state. But what makes this episode especially sad? When more information is shared about Gibbs’s daughter and wife who were murdered. Poor Gibbs!

2. Season 21, episode 2, “The Stories We Leave Behind”

Image via CBS Studios

NCIS did a great job of wrapping up Ducky’s arc after David McCallum died in September 2023. In “The Stories We Leave Behind,” the team helps find out who killed a soldier, Danny, a case that Ducky was trying to solve before he died peacefully while sleeping. This episode is devastating since both Ducky and McCallum were wonderful, and it’s a nice reminder that this show is about how much the characters love each other. Of course, knowing the special bond between Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) and Ducky, it’s impossible not to cry since Jimmy is the one who sees Ducky has ed away in his home.

1. Season 13, episode 24, “Family First”

Cote de Pablo as Ziva David on NCIS
Photo via CBS

While NCIS fans might debate the absolute saddest episode, the season 13 finale is super emotional since Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) thinks Ziva has died. This is just one part of Ziva’s amazing arc. Try not to tear up when Tony finds out they have a daughter named Tali! Even though Ziva isn’t actually dead, it’s still terrible to think that she could be, and picturing such a kind character suffering is too much to take. Even though she’s totally fine now and living out her happily ever after on the spinoff Tony & Ziva, which might come out in 2025, NCIS fans hate to imagine what could have been.

As one of the longest-running crime series on network television, NCIS has had its fair share of employee turnover. But then, after two decades of content, not everyone can stick around forever.

This is a sharp contrast to the limited series so prevalent on streaming. It has been a long time since 22-episode seasons were the norm. However, NCIS still endears itself to its widespread audience. Pivoting off its flagship series, JAG, the spin-off far outlived its predecessor, focusing on the naval crimes perpetrated on or around American soil. Many spin-offs of the spin-off have come about but none are likely to live up to the original.

Fans love the chemistry between the characters, especially the original line-up of the naval crime investigators. Under the leadership of Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), the whacky cast of characters chafed against each other’s personalities while solving crimes week to week. One of the biggest personalities was that of Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). He made his mark on the series with his witty one-liners for over a decade. In season 13, Weatherly said goodbye to the show and DiNozzo in the finale entitled “Family First”, which aired on May 17, 2016.

Weatherly’s departure was woven into the narrative in the only way fans would accept. After over 10 years on the series, many audience fixated on his onscreen chemistry with Ziva David (Cote de Pablo). The straight man to DiNozzo’s attention-grabbing personality, they were the classic will they won’t they of the series. Though their relationship was more subtle than fans would have liked, they canonically have a daughter together.

DiNozzo learns that he conceived a daughter with Ziva after a mortar attack that supposedly kills the mother of his child. He leaves after that point to care for their daughter. Both DiNozza and Ziva are referred to in subsequent episodes, leading fans to understand that the family reunited in Paris and are living together happily. Not too shabby for a show about water-adjacent murders.

Fans of the CBS crime procedural NCIS are more than familiar with the lovable chief medical examiner Jimmy Palmer, played by the actor Brian Dietzen. While he’s seen countless deaths as his character on the show, Dietzen revealed he had a close call of his own after a stroke back in 2020 and almost died.

Dietzen opened up about the experience during an interview with Variety. “I had a dual embolic stroke in my cerebellum,” he said. The incident made his hands curl up, and he called it “terrifying.” When he was being rushed to the hospital, he thought he wouldn’t have an acting career anymore because he wasn’t able to speak.

He gives credit to the Apple Watch for saving his life. When the stroke came on, he said he “was on the floor of my bathroom, throwing up, and I pulled out my phone and I was like, ‘Oh sh**, I can’t use my fingers.’ And so I said, ‘Hey, Siri, call Kelly,’ and called my wife and I said, ‘I need help.’”

Even just trying to talk made him sound like he was chewing on marbles, but he was still able to voice to text a call to 911. Being so close to death, he said, really made him look at life a different way. He said:

“‘I don’t think there’s much that I’ve left undone, because everyone that I love knows that I love them’ — that sort of thing,” he said about the incident, but then he forced himself to stop thinking so negatively. Once he felt like he got his mind in “the right place,” he got movement back in his hands and his tongue. He was in an MRI tube, and the doctors told him to stay still because he kept trying to say tongue twisters.

The clot eventually cleared, and he considered himself blessed that he “stayed really healthy, and had a really healthy cardiovascular system.” Doctors were puzzled as to why he had the stroke in the first place, considering he was a healthy man in his early 40s.

After some tests, doctors found out he had a “hole between my atrial chambers that needed to be closed.” Because of the recent stroke, he was not anesthetized during surgery and got to watch it on an overhead screen. After the surgery he was able to get back to work fairly quickly, but then the pandemic shut everything down.

One thing he promised himself during his ordeal, when he thought he wasn’t going to be able to talk ever again, was that he wanted to write. “I realized there’s no reason why I can’t tell really great stories and branch out and still do what I love on this thing, and be surrounded by these people that have ed me and that I and love.”

Perhaps there’s no better narrative device on a TV show than the “will they, won’t they” chemistry of two people who are obviously in love but don’t really get a chance to be together. Over the course of 4 seasons, NCIS agents Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) played their parts wonderfully, leaving a lot of people with the question: do they ever get together? Not to worry, we have the answer.

Affectionately known as Ellick to NCIS fans, the two agents romance story started in earnest during the episode “High Tide” from season 15. The two go undercover as a crime couple and get jobs as drug movers. At one point, their cover is almost blown so Ellie kisses Nick. This leads to eventual flirting as they discuss the kiss and gain a mutual respect for each others abilities.

In the episode “Death From Above” from the same season, Dinozzo Sr. asks Nick if Ellie ever dumped him, furthering the romance. During season 16, they continue to get closer and flirt with the idea of getting together. In the episode “Boom,” Ellie helps get some shrapnel out of Nick’s back and he puts his hand on her shoulder to protect her.

Over the course of the season, he cals her “babe,” they attend goat yoga together, they care for a baby and they fall asleep facing each other. The episode “Toil and Trouble” sees the couple go on a pretend date and Nick cancels a thing Ellie has with Boyd. She gets mad and asks why he did and he can’t answer. They almost kiss but don’t.

During Season 17, Ziva tells Nick he’s being a wuss for not telling Ellie how he feels. Eventually, Ellie asks Nick to dinner but he tells her he has a girlfriend. They go back and forth until Nick breaks up with his girlfriend, and they go out to dinner as friends.

It’s not until season 18 and the episode “Unseen Improvements” that they finally have “the talk.” Unfortunately, it’s not meant to be. During the season finale, they bid each other goodbye after Bishop is implicated in the NSA document leak, revealing that she’ll be leaving for good.

The scene is no big payoff. Bishop is cold and distant and seems almost annoyed. However, she grabs him at the end of the talk and kisses him. Then she leaves. They never really get a chance to be together. It’s sad.

It felt like the show’s writers were maybe leaving the door open, but it turns out Wickersham was leaving the show for good. On her Instagram stories, she reflected on her time on the show:

“This business is finicky and weird and consistency is a rarity. I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of a show where I got to show up and act and laugh and learn with wonderful people. A moment in time I surely won’t forget. Thank you CBS and ‘NCIS‘ for including me in a part of television history.”

Is Brian Dietzen leaving ‘NCIS’? https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-brian-dietzen-leaving-ncis/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-brian-dietzen-leaving-ncis/#respond Mon, 15 Jul 2024 11:10:58 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1723639 Is Dr. Jimmy Palmer finally leaving DC?]]>

For over a decade, Brian Dietzen has been a staple on NCIS as the endearing and dedicated Dr. Jimmy Palmer. His character, initially introduced in season 1, evolved from a recurring role to a series regular by season 10, becoming a fan favorite along the way. However, a recent comment the actor made has fans wondering if he is leaving the show.

Over the years, NCIS has seen its fair share of cast changes, with beloved characters like Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), and Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) exiting the show. The departure of these key characters left a void, and fans are understandably anxious about the potential loss of another cherished member of the team.

While NCIS has been a significant part of Dietzen’s career, he has also explored other creative avenues. He has appeared in various television shows and films including Nowhere to Hide, Perception, and Congratulations. Over the years, Dietzen has become a beloved figure in the entertainment industry, known for his engaging performances and charismatic presence both on and off-screen.

Dietzen ed NCIS as Jimmy Palmer in 2004, making his debut as a guest late in Season 1. Initially appearing sporadically as an assistant to Dr. Mallard, Palmer’s character gradually evolved, becoming a series regular and ultimately the team’s chief medical examiner. Brian Dietzen’s portrayal of Jimmy Palmer has become a cornerstone of NCIS. He has also contributed to the show as a writer.

Is Brian Dietzen saying goodbye to NCIS?

In June 2024, a group of NCIS actors participated in a discussion at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Television Festival. During the event, Brian Dietzen shared his thoughts on how he envisions his character, Jimmy Palmer, meeting his end. Dietzen revealed that he has contemplated Jimmy’s death and expressed a desire for the character to contract ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This caused fans to panic as they believed the actor was hinting at his departure. The speculation about Dietzen’s departure isn’t entirely unfounded.

However, Brian is not leaving the show. Dr. Jimmy Palmer’s character arc has been integral to the show’s narrative, and losing him would undoubtedly leave a significant gap. As of now, there is no concrete evidence to suggest that Brian Dietzen is leaving NCIS. While the rumors continue to swirl, the actor’s enthusiasm for his role and the lack of official statements from the producers point toward his continued presence on the show. Fans can take solace in the fact that Dr. Jimmy Palmer’s journey is far from over, and there are still many stories left to tell.

What happened to Ziva on ‘NCIS’? https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/what-happened-to-ziva-on-ncis/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/what-happened-to-ziva-on-ncis/#respond Wed, 03 Jul 2024 21:46:49 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1718515 Where is Ziva now?]]>

NCIS has cracked the code for an obsession-worthy TV drama, giving us people to care about, and cases that shock us. One of the most popular Special Agents is Ziva David (Cote de Pablo), who became a cast member in season 3.

Sure, NCIS might not exactly be a romantic show, but the love story between Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) is truly a beautiful thing. While we swoon over them all over again, let’s talk about the end of Ziva David’s NCIS story.

What happened when Ziva David left NCIS?

Ziva David had an incredibly intense end to her character arc on NCIS. While the season 21 finale of NCIS was definitely attention-grabbing, we could never, ever forget Ziva’s ending on NCIS. In season 17, we learned that Ziva, Tony, and their daughter Tali were together in Paris. It was the happy ending that this beloved pair needed after so many years of pain.

But before they spent time in The City of Lights, we thought Ziva was killed when her family’s Tel Aviv, Israel farm was bombed. This was the first shocking plot point. The second was discovering she had a daughter and hadn’t let Tony know. But, Ziva always kept us guessing, and she wanted people to think she was dead so she could be safe from Sahar (Louise Barnes), who wanted Ziva to pay for murdering Ziva’s half-brother Ari Haswari (Rudolf Martin). Phew, that’s a lot to think about.

When she came back for NCIS season 17, Cote de Pablo told CBS News that a lot had been going on in Ziva’s life since her last episode. The actor said, “She has been undercover. She has not been in touch with her daughter which is a real source of pain for this character. She has not seen Tony DiNozzo, which is her big love.” While it was sad to let go of Ziva’s time on NCIS (and even sadder when Tony left, too), we’re glad she’s okay now and that she can be with her family. Each character on the procedural may be amazing at their jobs and we may love them all, but Ziva was compelling. When she fell in love with Tony, it was everything we wanted, and it’s sweet to know they ended up together.

Unlike Delilah Fielding-McGee (Margo Harshman), who pops up every now and then, we haven’t seen Ziva in a while. But good news for those who love Tony and Ziva (which is everyone): we can check out the Paramount+ spinoff called NCIS: Tony & Ziva.

Did Cote De Pablo want to leave NCIS?

We might assume that when an actor is on a show like NCIS for so many seasons, they’re super comfortable with their job, and would never want to make a change. But as we know, there are a variety of reasons why someone might want to try something new. While she acted after NCIS, Ziva is her best character.

In Cote de Pablo’s case, she wanted to leave NCIS and was super honest about her reasoning in 2016. According to Hello! Magazine, she said she quit “Unfortunately because of political things and scripts not being good enough.” She added that when she found out that the plan for Ziva was for her to live in Israel again and be “miserable,” she didn’t like that. De Pablo said, “I felt like the character wasn’t being treated with the respect she deserved.”

Anyone who misses Ziva on NCIS is likely thrilled about the spinoff. Since Cote de Pablo signed onto the series and sounds happy about it whenever she’s interviewed, we can guess that she’s content with where her character is now and feels it’s a great creative choice. If we don’t already have Paramount Plus, it’s definitely time to get it so we can catch up with Tony and Ziva. There’s no release date yet, but we’ll be here.

Who was Millie Bobby Brown on ‘NCIS?’ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/who-was-millie-bobby-brown-on-ncis/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/who-was-millie-bobby-brown-on-ncis/#respond Wed, 19 Jun 2024 15:36:44 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1711376 One of the show's best villains.]]>

Stranger Things might have given Millie Bobby Brown her breakout role, but the British actress had been working in Hollywood for a hot minute before landing the Netflix show.

Millie was around nine years old when she made her screen debut on the Once Upon A Time spin-off Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. She played two versions of young Alice on the ABC show — the first of a sling of creepy child characters that would culminate in the psychokinetic and telepathic Eleven in Stranger Things.

The creepiest of them all, however, was possibly the young actress’s character in NCIS at 11 years old.

What was Millie Bobby Brown’s role in NCIS?

Millie played Rachel Barnes on the sixth episode of the 12th season of CBS’ NCIS, titled “Parental Guidance Suggested.” Her character was the daughter of a Navy SEAL whose wife shows us dead on Halloween. At first glance, it appears jihadist terrorists were targeting the man, so the NCIS team was called in to investigate, only to reach the conclusion that it had been Rachel who had killed her mother.

The victim was a talented therapist who had noticed sociopathic tendencies in her daughter such as a lack of empathy. When she tried to get Rachel some help, which the 10-year-old did not want, she killed her. The chilling episode took an even darker turn once viewers realized the bruises that had people convinced Rachel’s dad could be hurting her were in fact inflicted on her by herself to get his attention. She was also convinced getting her mom out of the picture would finally make her dad focus on her and raise her himself.

The entire twisted affair is still regarded as one of NCIS’ darker episodes to this day. Millie got to act opposite Mark Harmon’s Special Agent Gibbs and did a wonderful job sending shivers down the spines of everyone watching back in 2014.

Is ‘NCIS’ leaving Netflix? https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-ncis-leaving-netflix/ https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/tv/is-ncis-leaving-netflix/#respond Thu, 06 Jun 2024 17:05:38 +0000 https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1705191 Let's hope it's not!]]>

NCIS has put us through a lot. First Mark Harmon exited… and now the show could be leaving Netflix?!

The CBS drama began airing in 2003 and when it ed Netflix, we were thrilled we could watch Agent Gibbs and his team whenever we wanted. Although it’s possible to tune into random episodes and not others since it’s a procedural, it’s hard not to want to see these characters all the time. Is NCIS going to stay on Netflix and let us continue our binge-watching?

According to Sportskeeda, NCIS is leaving Netflix… but not every single season is. It’s definitely a unique situation. Instead of every season of NCIS leaving Netflix on June 30th 2024, only seasons 1 to 11 will be gone from the streaming platform.

Fans will still be able to watch seasons 12 through 15 of NCIS on Netflix. While it’s a bummer to miss out on the previous ones, we’re happy to discover that seasons 16 and 17 will be on Netflix on June 30th.

Since we’re excited to watch season 22 of NCIS in the fall, we’re curious about how we can watch seasons 18, 19, 20, and 21. Seasons 1 to 21 of NCIS are on Paramount Plus, which will allow everyone to be ready for the Fall 2024 premiere.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a lot of people have been watching Cocomelon, Grey’s Anatomy, and NCIS ever since they were first available to stream on Netflix. NCIS is a particularly great series to watch on a streaming platform since fans can jump around and rewatch certain episodes or pick new ones that appeal to them based on the cases that are being investigated. It’s also fun to reflect on how many characters have ed the show and then left, from Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) being added in season 14 and the emotional exits of Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) and Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) leaving in seasons 11 and 13.

Now that we know Katrina Law’s character Jessica Knight could be exiting NCIS, binge-watching previous seasons sounds like a great idea. We want to make sure we’re up to date on everything her beloved, smart character has experienced, from all the strides she’s made in her work life to her always-interesting personal problems.
