Baby fever is a hell of an infliction. Some are more vulnerable to it than others, but once it hooks itself to your veins, all that anxiety about sharp corners, vomit stains, rancid diapers, and 3am squealing completely dissipates. In its place? Full-blown parental infatuation with those chubby cheeks, innocent giggles, and the miracle inherent to every child’s existence.

Robert Pattinson is one such public figure who has tested positive for baby fever, with the Harry Potter alumnus seemingly unable to stop bragging about how his baby daughter — born in March 2024 and mothered by his longtime partner Suki Waterhouse — smells.

Per Vogue, Pattinson insists that his daughter’s smell is one of a kind, and quite simply could not refrain from geeking out it.

I people used to be like ‘oh, don’t you like the smell of babies, but I thought they were just smelling the baby powder. But then I had a baby, and I was like ‘my baby smells incredible.’ There’s something there, I can identify her. She doesn’t smell like other babies.

There’s a joke in here involving the enhanced smelling ability of vampires. I’m not going to make it.

In any case, Pattinson’s proud case of baby fever comes off the back of a rumor that he and Waterhouse had a secret wedding at a Caribbean resort this past New Year’s Eve. “Secret wedding,” of course, meaning that it actually wasn’t very secret at all (they invited close friends and family), and was simply held away from the eyes of strangers who have chosen to take an interest in the private life of Pattinson and Waterhouse, as any sensible folk would do.

The rumor, originally reported by Deuxmoi and aggregated by Hola, came from an unnamed source who claimed to be a server at the resort-turned-wedding venue.

The actor is set to spearhead Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi dark comedy Mickey 17 (releasing to theaters on March 7), which will see him portray Mickey Barnes, a public employee known as an “expendable,” who can be resurrected with a new body and most of his memories upon death.

He’s also due to star alongside Jennifer Lawrence and LaKeith Stanfield in the horror comedy Die, My Love, and with Zendaya, Mamoudou Athie, and Alana Haim in the Ari Aster-produced romance film The Drama.

By 2015, the relationship was reportedly on the rocks, and while neither party has given an official reason for the split, sources claim they were simply at different stages in their lives. In 2023, she opened up to The Times about a “colossal heartbreak” she endured in her 20s — aligning with the timeline of her and Cooper’s relationship — and said it left her feeling “depressed for a while.” While she never specified names, Waterhouse did mention “constantly read[ing]” about the new girlfriends of her ex-partner, saying that experience felt like “public humiliation.” 

In the years since his split from Waterhouse, Cooper has been romantically linked to models Bella Hadid and Irina Shayk, the latter of whom he dated from 2015 to 2019 and shares a daughter, Lea, with. That kind of love left her feeling “punished,” Waterhouse said, but she has since healed and found the right romance. The actress said that turning 30 “afforded [her] a little bit more respect,” adding that she’s “pretty strong at this point.” As for her relationship with Pattinson, it seems to be a much lighter affair, with Waterhouse recalling their first time meeting and how she “light[s] up when I’m around him.”

The duo met at a celebrity game night with attendees like Al Pacino, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, and while it’d be six or seven months before they crossed paths again, the initial meet “had percolated” something between them. Such is the premise for Amazon’s latest adaptation, Daisy Jones & The Six. The 13-episode limited series, based on the novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid, showcases the meteoric rise and fall of fictional 70s rock n’ roll band Daisy Jones & The Six. It offers a never before seen look at the star-crossed love story of lead singers Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dune (Sam Claflin), peels back the curtain on the lives of the five other band , and puts a magnifying glass to the events that precipitated what would become the most infamous downfall in rock n’ roll history. 

Amazon released its first official clip of the highly-anticipated series today, along with an in-depth Vanity Fair cover. In the 18-second clip, we get our first glimpse of Daisy and Billy in action as both stand behind their respective microphones on a stage whose stadium is crowded by thousands of attendees. Billy tosses Daisy a swanky wink and Daisy tosses her head back and arms out as she soaks in the cries of the thousands of fans who chant her name.

The musical project has been slowly crawling towards its release ever since Amazon Studios picked up the rights to the adaptation in 2018, months before the novel version was even published. Filming began back in Sept. 2021 after hefty delays due to COVID-19 and only officially wrapped this past May. 

The limited series sports an all-star cast of actors and newly minted musicians, including Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough as the titular character, and Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin as her star-crossed lover and fellow lead singer, Billy Dune. The show is executive produced by the lover of book adaptations herself, Reese Witherspoon, and produced under her production company Hello Sunshine. 

Heavily influenced by the real-life events of Fleetwood Mac, Daisy Jones & The Six is told through the oral history of each individual band member as they recount the events that led to their superstardom and the cracks along the way that brought about their infamous downfall. As one can expect of a show based in the 70s, drugs, sex, and rock n’ roll are front and center, but the 795 costume changes throughout the series are the real star; expect a ton of bell-bottom pants, frayed jeans, maxi dresses, and tie-dye blouses. Not to mention the mustaches. A lot of mustaches.

Above and beyond that, Daisy Jones & The Six will showcase original music performed by the cast themselves, which includes Suki Waterhouse as the keyboardist Karen Sirko, Sebastian Chaconf as the drummer Warren Rhodes, Will Harrison as the lead guitarist Graham Dunne, and Josh Whitehouse as the bassist Eddie Roundtree, whose character appears to be a combination of Pete Loving and Eddie Loving from the books.

The show was filmed in the real-life locations of the Troubadour, the Viper Room, and Whisky a Go Go, among others. It was also the first production in the last 30 years to shut down Sunset Boulevard.

Daisy Jones & The Six will officially release on Amazon Prime Video beginning March 3.

Father John Misty will be hitting the road solo for the first time since 2018. Misty, aka Joshua Michael Tillman, will tour in of his latest album, Chloë and the Next 20th Century, which drops this Friday. The artist has already shared four singles from the project; “Funny Girl,” “Goodbye Mr. Blue,” “Q4,” and his latest, the album’s closing track, “The Next 20th Century.”

While Misty did Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on tour as co-headliner in 2019, and has played several one-stop gigs and festival dates, this is his first solo tour in four years. His SubPop labelmate Suki Waterhouse will open for the tour’s North American dates. The tour kicks off on June 26 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and concludes its North American leg in Durham, North Carolina on October 8. Misty will then tour Northern Europe and the U.K. next year from February to March. Misty will be ed by the Colorado Symphony for his July 31 date at Red Rocks, and will play Radio City Music Hall on September 22, accompanied by the New York Pops Orchestra.

Misty will also play the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, namesake of one of his first singles, “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings,” in Los Angeles on August 18.

The two have been spotted only a few times together over the course of their relationship, but it wasn’t until the following year that Pattinson spoke about their relationship to The Sunday Times while discussing his previous relationships with Kristen Stewart and FKA Twigs. 

The couple sparked engagement rumors in 2019 when Waterhouse was spotted with a ring on her wedding finger, even though they never addressed this. They eventually quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Pattinson revealed how watching The Batman for the first time with Waterhouse “kind of changed the entire thing.”

“I’m pretty sure she’s not normally into watching superhero movies, and just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time”, he said, “And then she held my hand and touched it [to her face] and I could feel a little tear. And I was like, ‘No way!'”

While the couple has been together for quite some time, they’ve both had high-profile relationships in the past. As aforementioned, Pattinson dated his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart and also musician and dancer, FKA Twigs. Waterhouse was involved with Last Shadow Puppets frontman, Miles Kane, from 2011 to 2013 and famously dated Bradley Cooper from 2013 to 2015.
