Tom Hardy's time on-set has come with consequences.]]>
<![CDATA[

Tom Hardy, the well-known actor famous for his powerful performances in movies like Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises, and the Venom series, recently opened up about a troubling list of health problems caused by years of physically tough work. 4s24r

In a straightforward interview, the 47-year-old actor joked about feeling lightheaded and needing to take medicine during the conversation, showing how much his career has worn down his body.

According to his recent interview with Esquire, Hardy’s physical problems are numerous and include two knee surgeries, a slipped disc in his back, and sciatica. He also deals with plantar fasciitis and a strained hip tendon, honestly saying that his body feels like it’s “falling apart.” This blunt confession makes it clear how serious his condition is and how years of doing intense action scenes and physically demanding roles have added up.

Even with how serious his conditions are, Hardy stays optimistic and shows he’s open to trying different kinds of treatments. He mentioned thinking about stem cell therapy, which suggests he’s willing to try advanced medical options if needed. At the same time, he talked about being interested in more natural approaches, like homeopathic remedies, showing he’s looking into different ways to handle his pain and improve his health.

Surprisingly, despite his major health struggles, Hardy still sticks to his fitness routine, actively training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He described the martial art as a “submission sport,” focusing on controlling and overpowering opponents instead of just using raw strength, which hints at a change in how he approaches physical activity.

Even with his injuries, he is dedicated to his craft, staying fit, and adjusting to working around his pain and limits. He sees it more as a way to better himself and face challenges rather than just a competition.

Hardy’s career has included a lot of physically tough roles. His work as Venom, especially, involved intense stunts and physical feats. He talked about how much he loved the role and wanted to push himself to the limit, but he also mentioned that even though he tried to make a Venom and Spider-Man crossover happen, it never worked out.

While the Venom movies, including Venom: The Last Dance, were big financial successes, the fact that the crossover didn’t happen shows there are things even Hardy couldn’t control within the bigger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The beloved anti-hero was thought to be appearing in 'Spider-Man 4'. ]]>
<![CDATA[

As the rumor mill continues to churn out speculation about a long-awaited Venom and Spider-Man crossover, Tom Hardy has come through with an official update.

Before you get your painties (or web-slingers) in a twist, I regret to inform you that it isn’t particularly promising news. Hardy, who portrayed Eddie Brock/Venom in Sony’s trilogy of the loveable anti-hero, addressed all the rumors of a potential onscreen collaboration with Peter Parker in a recent interview on The Discourse Podcast.

Since Spider-Man and Venom exist in the same universe — with the latter character even appearing in Tobey Maguire’s iteration of Spider-Man — the speculation of some form of crossover was well-placed. However, Hardy isn’t so sure it’ll ever come to fruition. “We got close,” Hardy said about a crossover with the Tom Holland version of Spider-Man. “We got as close as I could possibly imagine getting, apart from doing a film together.”

Later on, The Discourse Podcast host Mike DeAngelo asked whether “studio politics” had anything to do with the crossover being killed, and his response certainly pointed towards the affirmative. “[The project] never happened for all the reasons that you explained ultimately in there.” The actor didn’t elaborate on exactly what that meant, but he did express excitement at the idea of a crossover “for the kids,” who are the target market he had in mind for the hypothetical film.

“Fundamentally, for me, it would be for the kids,” Hardy said of why he wanted to do a Venom-Spider-Man project. “Because, you know, as much as adults love superhero films, as you can tell by the box office when they’re successful, I think I’m constantly reminded by children how important these characters are.” That, for Hardy, would be the main justification for a crossover, since children viewers “don’t know why their favorite characters aren’t in films together.”

News of the nixed Venom and Spider-Man project flies in the face of earlier promises made by those involved in the project. In 2019, Ruben Fleischer, who directed the first installment of the Venom franchise, confirmed to Fandom that the plan was always to build Hardy’s comic book franchise into a meeting with Holland’s Spider-Man. “That’s where it’s all going to lead,” Fleischer said at the time. He went on to reveal that the change in the origin story for the character of Venom “because of the Marvel-Sony thing” allowed him to envision a scenario in which Spider-Man and Venom “actually do confront each other.”

Seems like what Fleischer was hinting at in regards to Marvel and Sony’s dual ownership of Spider-Man might be the “studio politics” that Hardy mentioned. While we won’t see Venom in it, the installment of Holland’s Spider-Man franchise is very much moving along. Today, the name for the film — the fourth entry into the franchise — was revealed as Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with a release date slated for July 31, 2026. Who knows, maybe by then Hardy will figure out a way to web-sling his way into Holland’s franchise, and we’d certainly be here for that!

James Bond’s future just got a major shake-up, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is making sure fans have a say in the franchise’s new direction. With Amazon MGM Studios taking creative control of the legendary franchise, Bezos posed a simple question to his millions of followers on X: “Who’d you pick as the next Bond?”

Within hours, plenty of names were thrown into the mix. However, the majority delivered a resounding answer that it should be Tom Hardy. Henry Cavill was close second. “Henry Cavill is great, but Tom Hardy is my vote for James Bond,” one fan declared. Another wrote, “I think it may only be Tom Hardy that’s going to make me watch a James Bond movie.” A different quipped, “Henry Cavill is the only choice to heal the world and the franchise.”

Both Hardy, 47, and Cavill, 41, are no strangers to action-packed roles, but Hardy seems to have the edge when it comes to embodying intense, unpredictable characters.

Hardy’s resume is stacked with physically demanding, chameleonic performances. He has played the lone drifter Max Rockatansky in Mad Max: Fury Road, the dual-personality anti-hero Eddie Brock in Venom, and the unhinged, real-life criminal Charles Bronson in Bronson. He’s even taken on the Star Trek universe as the sinister Praetor Shinzon in Nemesis. He will next appear as a detective battling the criminal underworld in Netflix’s Havoc.

Cavill, meanwhile, has long been a fan-favorite for Bond, thanks to his suave portrayal of superspy Napoleon Solo in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and his action chops in Mission: Impossible – Fallout. But despite his overwhelming qualifications, Hardy’s grittier, rough-around-the-edges persona may be what wins him the role in the eyes of many social media s.

While Hardy and Cavill dominated the poll, other actors got honorable mentions, including Michael B. Jordan, Matthew Goode, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth, Michael Fassbender, and James McAvoy. And, of course, the internet being the internet, some s jokingly suggested Elon Musk take up the tuxedo and Walther PPK for the big screen.

Moments before Bezos asked the important question, Amazon announced that the famous spy series is undergoing a seismic shift after Daniel Craig ended his run as Bond in 2021’s No Time To Die. In a deal that rewrites the franchise’s future, Amazon MGM Studios has formed a new t venture with longtime franchise gatekeepers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. While Wilson and Broccoli remain co-owners of the six-decade-old property, Amazon now holds the ultimate creative power over the superspy’s next releases.

This follows Amazon’s $8.5 billion acquisition of MGM in 2022, which gave the tech giant control over an expansive catalog of more than 4,000 films and 17,000 TV shows, including every Bond movie to date. Now, Amazon isn’t just distributing Bond films. It is also shaping the future of the well-loved spy series.

The Broccoli family has long been the guardian of the Bond legacy, with Albert “Cubby” Broccoli first bringing Ian Fleming’s super-spy to the big screen in Dr. No (1962). Since then, Barbara and Wilson have carefully controlled the franchise by overseeing its evolution across six decades.

But with Amazon now holding creative control, the franchise is on the brink of its biggest transformation yet. As Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, put it in a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter: “We are honored to continue this treasured heritage and look forward to ushering in the next phase of the legendary 007 for audiences around the world.”

With Bond’s future in Amazon’s hands, the next 007 will be a game-changer in the series. Now, we’ll just have to wait and see if Bezos will listen to who fans want to see next portraying the iconic role.

Tom Hardy is set to star in a new series — with a working title of The Fixer — but after he learned what was broken on set, he decided to do something about it.

The series is being directed in the U.K. by Guy Ritchie for Paramount Plus. It’s a gangster drama series, specifically a Ray Donovan spin-off series, that will also feature other big names such as Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. Obviously, it has a big budget. So it’s disappointing to learn of one nearly disastrous oversight that befell some of the crew during production.

As reported by The Times, a set construction firm named Helix 3D hired about 50 freelance workers, mostly carpenters, to build many of the sets for the series before filming began in London. Helix was paid by 101 Studios — the production company behind the show.

In turn, Helix 3D was supposed to pay the freelance workers, but they allegedly failed to do so, and are now reportedly being liquidated.

The total wages are approximately £250,000, which is about $316,000.

Brian Dowling, head of Helix 3D, allegedly informed the production company only recently that not only have they not paid the freelancers, but they likely won’t even be able to pay them before Christmas.

However, it was then that Tom Hardy learned of the problem, and decided to step in for the workers and their families. He reportedly offered to pay the wages out of his own pocket and before Christmas, so that the workers need not worry about covering their holiday shopping expenses.

Paramount Plus, unaware of the unpaid wages before Dowling’s message was sent, were allegedly outraged with Dowling when learning of the issue. Executives at both 101 Studios and at Paramount informed Hardy that there was no need for Hardy to pay the freelancers, as they would pay the wages then deal with Helix 3D themselves.

An organizing official from Bectu — Broadcasting, Entertainment, Communications and Theatre Union — of which all of the freelancers are , wrote a scathing letter to Dowling criticizing the company’s treatment of the workers.

The letter partly reads, “Our deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and compensated on time for their work. It is wholly unacceptable that they are facing significant financial precarity, particularly ahead of Christmas.”

Hudson goes on to also take issue with Helix 3D’s lack of transparency while freelancers were doing their jobs, having no idea that they would not be promptly paid. Helix blames liquidation, but Hudson blames Helix for lack of communication and, obviously, lack of payment regardless of the situation that the company now finds itself in.

Hudson later stated, “What does seem to have been avoidable was the lack of foresight that this situation could occur, given the serious financial trouble Helix was in.”

It appears that everyone involved, except for Helix, ultimately did right by the workers.

If Hardy did end up paying the workers only to get stiffed by the company, he could always resort to his fighting skills. Hardy randomly entered a Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament in 2022 and won. A man of many talents, it was recently realized that he had something of a secret rap career as he was recording rap music under an alias without revealing who he really is.

Thankfully for Helix 3D, Paramount and 101 Studios stepped up to pay the workers, otherwise Paramount could’ve hired Tom Hardy as their fixer and not just in a streaming series.

Venom: The Last Dance marks the end of Sony’s best-performing Spider-Man adjacent films. Though not necessarily a high bar to clear, Tom Hardy has more aspirations after the conclusion of the trilogy.

Since Hardy’s debut as disgraced reporter Eddie Brock in 2018’s Venom, the actor has faced off against many villains in the anti-heroic story. Cletus Kasady AKA Carnage was portrayed by Woody Harrelson in his titular film, and fans will finally get to see the first big screen appearance of Marvel villain, Knull. Venom’s biggest adversary still has not been confirmed, however, and Hardy is ready to get these wheels turning. Recently at New York Comic-Con, the Mad Max: Fury Road actor doubled down on his desire to put Spider-Man through his paces.

This comment has not happened in a vacuum. Hardy has often voiced his desire to see Venom and Spider-Man come face to face. But with the complex dynamic between Marvel Studios and Sony, this seems like a pipe dream. Sony has tackled some of the biggest characters in Spider-Man lore, save for the web-slinging hero himself. Even Madame Web, which featured three separate Spider-Women only referred to Peter in tongue-in-cheek shenanigans.

Considering Sony’s track record with Marvel properties, it would be shocking if any interaction of Peter Parker slung into Venom for a cameo. But there is no shame in hoping.

The best Venom and Spider-Man confrontation has not been in a film 62133z

Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is of course beloved by MCU fans, but one of the best depictions of the character is in the recent Sony video games. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 incorporates many villains that have failed to impress on the big screen as well as teaming up Peter and Miles Morales in a high-stakes story.

In this version of Spider-Man, Harry Osborn gets infected with Venom as a way to stave off a debilitating illness. As Venom is wont to do, it attaches itself to Peter who becomes a monstrous version of himself. Voiced by Candyman icon, Tony Todd, this Venom is a terrifying and powerful force, that Miles has to battle. The game also implements Kraven, a villain played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the alleged imminent film.

Sony’s Kraven film strays as far away from the source material as Madame Web, in a bid to make the characters younger and more attractive. Kraven is a significant character in Spider-Man lore, an unrepentant poacher with no moral com. Like with many of its films, Sony appears to be making Kraven more sympathetic with Johnson’s casting and backstory. In the film, which has undergone constant delays, Kraven rebels against his father’s (Russell Crowe) poaching and for some reason gets Beast Master-like abilities from a lion. This is the similar philosophy that made Cassandra Webb (Dakota Jonson) a young woman instead of her wizened portrayal in the comics.

The Spider-Man games are arguably one of the best adaptations of the comics. While they change some classic aspects, they stays true to the spirit of the source material. Perhaps Hardy’s Venom has the chance to make a mark similar to that of the games, but is unlikely to happen under the Sony umbrella. Under the current multiverse, however, anything is possible.

Sony’s most successful Marvel franchise is signaling the end of an era. While there is not much fanfare, there is, however, a lot to look forward to.

The production company may be behind infamous films such as Morbius and Madame Web, but Venom has been a fairly stable series. Starring heavy-hitter Tom Hardy as the tenacious reporter Eddie Brock, the first film did as well as it could while steering away from the MCU’s version of Spider-Man. The series sets Eddie in San Francisco where he encounters the love of his life, the titular sludge symbiote. Venom: Let There Be Carnage didn’t win over everyone, but it will still be bittersweet to say goodbye to the crime-fighting duo.

As Venom: The Last Dance implies, this is the conclusion to the trilogy and fans would love to know if another famous Tom will be gracing the Sony stage with his presence. MCU’s own Tom Holland was last seen in the heartbreaking and emotionally resonant Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film was the perfect way to end the trilogy — at least before Spider-Man 4 — and Holland has been taking his time away from the big screen ever since.

Could that mean he is saving his energy for a Venom cameo? If the production is aware of any such plans, they are not giving it away. Hardy made sure to keep his lips sealed when broached about the subject.

Perhaps this is a way to get fans to come into the theaters, but this may also be a pipe dream. The small Peter Parker representation that fans saw in this universe was a post-credit scene where Venom saw Peter Parker on a television screen. There are also implications that during the No Way Home debacle, Eddie was pulled into the MCU like many other Spider-Man villains. The canon at this point is murky at best, but there are other appearances in the film that fans are also hyped to see.

Venom fans should get ready for Knull 16y26

The final Venom film is promising to not hold back. After years of dancing around one of Marvel’s most infamous villains, he will finally make his big-screen debut. As teased in the trailer, the third film will revolve around the villainous Knull, the creator of Venom’s race of symbiotes. Closer to a dark deity than a man, Knull created the symbiotes as a super army to conquer worlds. Wanting their freedom, the symbiotes ultimately imprisoned Knull and struck out on their own.

Knull is finally back and is the one entity Venom is truly afraid of. This villain is the right way to wrap up a trilogy. However, he has the chance to impact MCU properties as well. Knull is the architect behind the All-Black, the Necrosword that Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) wields in Thor: Love & Thunder. Taika Waititi’s film was worse received than Let There Be Carnage, the main failure being the depiction of Gorr. Waititi leaned too hard into camp territory instead of portraying the character fans actually expected: A scary killer of gods. The addition of another famous figure such as Knull would have made the story even more authentic. Alas, fans are left with Waititi’s version that is better left forgotten. The good news is that Venom: The Last Dance will finally put the character to use in the final chapter of the highly entertaining anti-hero story, which premieres in theaters on Oct. 24.

There's a clue in the name "Venom: The Last Dance," to be fair...]]>
<![CDATA[

Tom Hardy is now a veteran of the comic book movie genre. Having first appeared as Bane in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises, he has since appeared as Eddie Brock, aka Venom, in Venom (2012) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and in a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

Pertinently, Hardy is set to reprise the latter role in Venom: The Last Dance, which will be released in theaters on Oct. 25 this year. The clue to whether or not he will play the eponymous character again appears to be in the name — the word “Last” giving some finality to his stint in the role — but you can never be sure in the movie world.

Hardy is undoubtedly busy in the foreseeable future, with four additional projects in the pipeline after the third Venom installment. The action thriller Havoc is coming to Netflix soon, and Hardy is set to appear in the crime thriller Blood on Snow, the highly anticipated Mad Max sequel Mad Max: The Wasteland, and the action-adventure War Party (as per IMDb).

However, with the MCU’s Multiverse Saga in full swing, characters from every live-action production based on Marvel’s comic books could be set to appear. With that in mind, you have to imagine Marvel Studios will be interested in having Hardy reprise his role as Venom in the franchise going forward. But what has he had to say about that?

So, will Tom Hardy return for a fourth Venom movie? h1a3

It looks as though Venom: The Last Dance will indeed be Tom Hardy’s final performance as the eponymous character — at least if his recent comments on social media are anything to go by.

In a comment on a post on the official Venom Instagram , Hardy said, “That’s all she wrote for me and the big guy. We promise to make this the best of them all. We’ve loved making these. Thank you for your love and – come us for the Last Dance. For those of you that enjoy a good time from all of us in the team – Let us entertain you.”

That doesn’t only suggest there will be no more Venom movies but also that Hardy will not play the character again in any other films. Money talks, but you have to imagine Marvel Studios will have much persuading to do if they want Hardy to appear as the character in the likes of Avengers: Secret Wars.

But Hardy’s comments did not convince everyone. When Discussing Film posted what Hardy said on their X , the replies underneath said as much.

Only time will tell whether Hardy is telling the truth or if he can be convinced to mingle with decades of Marvel royalty in the MCU’s ensemble projects. We certainly hope he can be. Venom facing off with the likes of Wolverine, Deadpool, Blade, Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, the Fantastic Four, or the Guardians of the Galaxy in live-action would be a sight to behold.

All good things must come to an end, even the best Marvel love story ever told. Venom: The Last Dance will regretably be the last entry into the Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom saga.

Arguably the only decent Sony franchise film, Venom was first released in 2018 before the Morbius and Madame Web debacle. The film portrays a struggling reporter, Eddie, with canonically no connection to Spider-Man, who becomes a host from an alien goo from space. Venom is ravenous and morally grey, but through his relationship with Eddie, the two become better people for it. Or, one better person, and one better parasitic alien. Their dynamic is genuinely touching, which makes the third film in the trilogy bittersweet. The only solace fans will have is a themed popcorn bucket of their very own when the film hits theaters.

Is the Venom popcorn bucket available yet? 21k3f

In recent years, popcorn buckets have become more and more popular. Though always a part of the movie-going experience, viral popcorn buckets like the Dune creation created a cultural moment. The receptacle was made in the form of the enormous sandworm, Shai-hulud, and it didn’t take long for those with their mind in the gutter to think of other uses for the bucket. The release of Deadpool & Wolverine‘s addition doubled down on the suggestive nature, as only a piece of Deadpool merchandise can do. No one can say if the Venom bucket will discourage creative thinking, but at the very least, movie-goers can fit their hands to retrieve kernels of popcorn relatively easily. The teeth alone will hopefully be a deterrent for those NSFW minds.

If fans are looking to get a jump on their Venom shopping, they may have to swallow some disappointment. Though the announcement for the popcorn bucket was released, there was no confirmation when the merchandise would drop, or for how much money. Popcorn buckets are high commodities so the theaters may be keeping this one close to the vest. As the new movie will release in October, it’s safe to say that fans won’t have to wait too long for the bucket — or news on the newest villain in the Sony universe.

From the promotional material released so far, fans have put together that the final boss in the Venom franchise will be none other than world-killer, Knull. Marvel fans will probably know him best as the creator of the All-Black, or the Necrosword featured in Thor: Love and Thunder. Though not pictured in the divisive Taika Waititi film, his fingerprints are all over the Marvel universe. Knull is responsible for creating the symbiotes as a way to destroy entire planets. His crimes were many, condemning him to a prison. By the looks of The Last Dance, he is out and now every symbiote far and wide is fleeing in any direction they can reach. There is no official word on who will be portraying the iconic villain, but anticipation is high for the third film in the saga. Fans will have to wait for that and the popcorn bucket when the film hits theaters in October.

The exciting conclusion of Sony’s Venom is upon us, Eddie, and that means they are pulling out all the stops. It was only six short years ago when we first saw Tom Hardy get possessed by the black sludge from space.

The franchise has had a rough go of it since then. Despite the wild escapism and genuine fun of the first film, the follow-up, Venom: Let There Be Carnage failed to impress in 2021. Even Woody Harrelson’s gleeful portrayal of Kletus Casady couldn’t save the film from the pacing problems and odd creative choices. Venom: The Last Dance is a chance to hold nothing back, and this includes the addition of the ultimate villain. In the new trailer for the third film in the trilogy, The Last Dance teases the arrival of someone that even Venom is afraid of.

Marvel’s Knull explained 814q

If there is one thing that the Venom franchise does well, it’s upping up the ante. In each subsequent film, Eddie Brock (Hardy) and Venom find themselves at odds with more terrifying stakes. The Last Dance will introduce one of the more imposing villains in Marvel history. The trailer shows a brief glimpse of Knull, a fearsome being of the same caliber as Gorr the God Butcher.

In Marvel canon, Knull is a deity responsible for creating Venom’s race of symbiotes, known as the Klyntar. The Klyntar find purpose through bonding with other beings, such as Venom’s bond with Eddie. Knull created the sybmiotes from what is known as the “living abyss.” From here, he also created a great sword called the All-Black, the Necrosword which Gorr (Christian Bale) uses in Thor: Love and Thunder. But as Taika Waititi’s Thor film is under the Marvel umbrella, Sony will be unable to connect Knull’s backstory to the character.

More than likely, Knull’s backstory will be simplified to the basic facts in the Venom film. Knull created the symbiotes as a way to amass a giant army to defeat worlds. As depicted in the trailer, the deity created not just the human adjacent symbiotes like Venom, but other creatures from the primordial void. After years of subjugation, the Klyntar eventually rebelled against their creator and imprisoned him. It isn’t too hard to guess how the events of The Last Dance come to .

Residents of Earth are surprised to see a collection of comets cascading toward the planet. This receptacle is the form which many symbiotes choose to run. Venom realizes that Knull is the only thing that would cause such fear in his brethren, causing him to conclude that Knull is on his way. Presumably, Knull has escaped his prison and will become the biggest threat to Eddie and Venom yet. This result is bittersweet in many ways, as the relationship between the two is the ultimate love story in the Sony pantheon. Saying goodbye to our brain and chocolate-loving alien will be hard, just as it is hard for Eddie.

The Last Dance trailer only shows a brief shot of Knull, but rumors are flying far and wide about who will portray him. The third Venom film already has amassed a few Marvel alumni, including Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rhys Ifans, leading many to wonder who they’re playing. But if @SoulessCinema is to be believed, the role of Knull will go to another genre icon.

One source on X (formerly Twitter) reported that Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead fame will take on the character. He also s the ranks in another comic book property after appearing in Blade II. But after a decade and a half of playing Daryl Dixon, changing it up may be welcomed. Viewers will have to tune into Venom: The Last Dance to confirm who will tear Eddie and Venom apart when it premiers om October 25.

Tom Hardy’s secret career as a rapper is exposed and people have questions 136q2b https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/celebrities/tom-hardy-rap-career-rapper-name-album-music-alias/ <![CDATA[Curtis Roberts]]> Thu, 13 Jun 2024 22:33:26 +0000 <![CDATA[Celebrities]]> <![CDATA[Tom Hardy]]> https://wegotthiscovered.play1002.com/?p=1707999 <![CDATA[
Tom Hardy has been rapping under an alias in numerous released songs all while sending now-obvious messages of his secret identity.]]>
<![CDATA[

As actor Tom Hardy will again star as Venom in another movie, he’s also spittin’ venom as an aspiring rap artist, having collaborated with Inspectah Deck of the Wu Tang Clan in releases as recent as December of 2023.

Hardy told the BBC back in 2011 that he was first offered a record deal at age 15 but ended up with a lot of unreleased music. The Official Tom Hardy YouTube channel has only 10 videos, but all were ed nine years ago, and most of them feature Hardy rapping.

Hardy’s lyrics touch on numerous topics, and even may shoutout 1990’s rap music in its style, such as his line “My mind’s playing tricks on me,” which sparks visions of the Geto Boys dancing in your head, or trick-or-treating when it’s not Halloween.

Maybe his best line from the small selection of videos is simply, “We have a vote but we don’t have a say.”

It’s difficult not to like this hip hop Hardy.

Any one of his songs have more words than his entire dialogue for Mad Max: Fury Road, in which he mostly grunts, though you now may watch the film hoping he starts rapping in the desolation of Australian dunes.

But the YouTube videos are just a small sample of Hardy’s hip hop output. In 2018, a mixtape of his called Falling On Your Arse resurfaced. It got some pretty big attention, despite being recorded back in 1999.

All of this interesting to learn, but it’s not just what he used to do. He’s still allegedly — almost certainly — still rapping, just under a different name.

It mostly started when people began to notice the similiarities between Hardy’s rap style and a mysterious rapper who appeared on the track “Today’s Special,” which also happens to be featured in the movie Venom: Let There Be Carnage, starring Tom Hardy as Venom.

It’s actually a song by Czarface, a rap group featuring Wu Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck as well as rapper Esoteric and producer 7L. The group has recorded 12 albums since 2013.

The mystery rapper is credited as “Face Puller,” which happens to be what Hardy changed his Instagram bio to shortly thereafter. His bio used to only read “Frankie Pulitzer,” and then Czarface released another track with that same mystery rapper, this time calling him Frankie Pulitzer.

If you visit Tom Hardy’s Instagram, you’ll notice it still reads, “Face Puller,” under his name.

Instagram plays another role in uncovering the mystery, thanks to rapper Vinnie Paz. He once posted a photo of Esoteric and Tom Hardy at his studio after a recording session, and he referred to Hardy in the post as Frankie Pulitzer.

On the 2022 Czarface album Czarmageddon, Pulitzer is featured on the track titled “The Czarlaac Pit.” Then in December of 2023, Pulitzer is featured on another Czarface track, this time titled “Frenzy in a Far Off Car,” from the Czartifical Intelligence album.

In poor attempts to keep Pulitzer’s identity a secret, Esoteric once said that Pulitzer is not Hardy, but “some guy from Boston.” Let’s just say that the difference between Boston and London accents is so great that it’s likely impossible to pristinely imitate one of them while rapping.

Hardy hasn’t exactly itted to anything, but the evidence is overwhelming and he and Czarface are likely enjoying keeping it a mystery.

Hopefully, Tom Hardy — sorry — Frankie Pulitzer blesses us all with more original music soon.

“Now whatcha doin’ carrying guns upon the streets, son / you were no hoodlum, you was a good one / you were no hoodlum, now you’re a victim.”

Indeed, Frankie “goes to Hollywood” Pulitzer is a prize.

The ‘Ted Lasso’ star is back, and experimenting on aliens. ]]>
<![CDATA[

Our favorite buddy cop duo of Eddie Brock and alien symbiote Venom are back with the third installment in Sony’s franchise, Venom: The Last Dance. Naturally, we are also going to see some new faces on the dance floor, including Ted Lasso star, Juno Temple.

In her career, the 34-year-old actress starred in dozens of movies and TV shows. Yet, she mostly made herself known to wider audiences with the role of Keeley Jones in Ted Lasso. Those who watched Apple TV’s terrific show know the rocky and adventurous journey she had in it, and now she’s about to step into a new role in Venom: The Last Dance.

Who is Juno Temple playing in Venom: The Last Dance? 6a4c2c

The movie’s latest and first trailer released on June 3, showcasing around three minutes of action and, in typical Venom-style, even more comedy. Old characters like Mrs. Chen dance with the symbiote, while new ones are teased in a few shots, including an unnamed character to be played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Juno Temple. While the details about the former are unknown, and by all we know he could just be another Mordo, we know a bit more about the latter.

Juno Temple is starring in Venom: The Last Dance as Dr. Payne. While she’s not named in the trailer, the name is revealed in the closed captions of the trailer. Unfortunately, there is hardly a character of the exact same name in the Marvel Comics we could connect her wit — though, it’s tantalizingly similar to Thaddeus Paine.

In the comics, Paine was a scientist who conducted horrible experiments on terminally-ill people. If that sounds awful, wait till you learn that he had metal surgical gloves, was unable to feel pain and had a hunger for human brains. An odd combination, we know, but it’s almost perfect for a second-tier villain.

More importantly, in the comics, Paine and Eddie Brock crossed paths. At one point, the latter was separated from Venom, which allowed the scientist to study and experiment on the human host. However, after the two reunited, they hunted Paine down and sucked phenethylamine out of him, making him hungry for human brains forever.

Now, we don’t know how many similarities the two characters will share, if any. Especially given the fact that other villains are also teased in Venom: The Last Dance trailer, including Toxin and Venom’s kin from symbiote’s home world. So, for all we know, Juno Temple’s Dr. Payne could just be a random villainous scientist.

Nevertheless, it’s quite intriguing to see her character named so similarly to a comic book villain. Additionally, Dr. Payne is seen to be conducting some sorts of experiments on other symbiotes, so everything seems to match ideally. And, if anything, seeing Tom Hardy’s Venom sucking someone’s brains out would be a perfect fit to the trilogy. I mean, The Last Dance requires a last shared meal, right?

Venom: The Last Dance will release in theaters on Oct. 25.

<![CDATA[

As one of Sony’s more successful Spider-Man-adjacent franchises, it is a sad day to see Venom go. But following Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy will hang up his symbiote goo for good.

Sony has long struggled with using Marvel characters they are allotted to their benefit. Many fans are anxious to forget the fever dream that is Madame Web and Morbius. But Venom stands apart perhaps because of the distance it puts between Eddie Brock (Hardy) and his Marvel counterpart, Spider-Man. Venom places Eddie in San Francisco following the aftermath of a broken relationship and a fractured reputation in journalism.

The only thing left to do is get possessed by an alien entity. Venom is entirely self-actualized, not trying to be anything other than it is. And the true secret weapon of the film is the dynamic relationship between Eddie and the aforementioned alien. Venom turns into a buddy cop film of sorts as the two differing personalities fight for dominance before finally learning to love each other. Venom doesn’t take itself too seriously and makes for a great time at the movies. We may be saying goodbye to a legend, but that shouldn’t stop fans from experiencing the sequel before Venom: The Last Dance hits screens.

Where is Venom: Let There Be Carnage streaming? 2w193h

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the second installment in the franchise and showcases a classic character from the comics. Cletus Kasady has a long history in the Marvel comics, and is portrayed on the silver screen by Woody Harrelson. The film introduces the character as a serial killer who asks only to speak to Eddie while in prison. After a violent encounter in his cell, Kasady becomes another host to a symbiote and takes on the moniker of Carnage. While Venom can be considered an anti-hero, Kasady is a villain in the truest sense of the word. Venom can be reigned in, where Kasady says quite explicitly, that he is only interested in carnage.

The film is the live-action debut of the character, which should attract many fans of the comics to the film. Unfortunately, streaming the film is easier said than done. Let There Be Carnage is not available on any of the major subscription platforms. As of this writing, the easiest avenue to access the film is if you have a cable subscription. Let There Be Carnage is available to those who do on FXNow. The other option is renting the film per the typical VOD options. Witness the enduring love of family in the movie, and catch Venom: The Last Dance when it premieres on October 25.
