What happened to Trump's promise of ending it all in 24 hours?]]>
<![CDATA[

Amid rising tensions and high-pressure diplomacy, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. officials and European leaders in Rome. These talks happened just hours before a scheduled phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. k6c4d

During a meeting at the U.S. ambassador’s residence, Zelenskyy spoke with U.S. Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. On social media, Zelenskyy stressed the need for “real diplomacy” and repeated Ukraine’s goal of securing a “full and unconditional ceasefire.” Zelesnkyy has a way with negotiating, so he may get what he needs.

According to CBS, Zelenskyy wrote, “We have also touched upon the need for sanctions against Russia, bilateral trade, defense cooperation, battlefield situation, and prisoners exchange. Pressure is needed against Russia until they are eager to stop the war.”

According to Fox, President Trump said he would speak with Putin to address the ongoing violence in Ukraine. After that call, he planned to talk with Zelenskyy and several NATO leaders. Secretary Rubio, in an interview on “Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan,” suggested that a successful outcome might require Trump and Putin to meet in person, noting that Trump had already publicly offered such a meeting.

While itting that arranging it would be complicated, Rubio said Trump wanted it to happen “as soon as possible.” He also recognized the challenge of balancing patience in peace talks with the need to act quickly, given the ongoing war and other global crises.

The urgency of the situation was highlighted by a massive Russian drone attack on Ukraine, which happened at the same time as these diplomatic efforts. Ukraine’s air force reported that Russia launched 273 explosive drones and decoys targeting Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk. While 88 drones were shot down, 128 were lost, likely due to electronic jamming.

Yuriy Ihnat, head of the air force’s communications department, called this the largest drone attack since Russia’s full-scale invasion began in 2022. Reports confirmed casualties from the attack; Kyiv regional Gov. Mykola Kalashnyk said a 28-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured, including a 4-year-old child.

Beyond his meeting with U.S. officials, Zelenskyy also met with Pope Leo XIV after the Pope’s first Mass. Zelenskyy mentioned the Vatican’s possible role in ending the war and thanked the Holy See for offering to host direct talks between Ukraine and Russia. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also spoke with Zelenskyy and Rubio, confirming that European leaders were coordinating with the U.S. ahead of the Trump-Putin call.

A major agreement between the United States and Ukraine, signed on May 1, 2025, gives the U.S. priority access to Ukraine’s important minerals while also creating a t fund for rebuilding the country. The deal, which came after months of difficult negotiations, is a big win for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who managed to avoid having to repay billions of dollars in past U.S. military aid.

The agreement includes a wide variety of valuable resources, such as rare earth elements, oil, and natural gas, according to AP News. However, it does not cover resources that are already making money for the Ukrainian government, meaning any profits from the deal depend on new investments.

The list of minerals involved includes 55 different items, with room to add more later. Some of the key materials mentioned are rare earth elements like lanthanum, cerium, and scandium, as well as critical minerals like titanium, lithium, and uranium, as reported by Reuters.

A key part of the agreement is the creation of the U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. Both countries will share equal control over how the fund is managed. The U.S. will provide money through the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, with the goal of bringing in more investment and technology from American and European companies.

Ukraine’s contribution will be 50% of all future profits from government-owned natural resources covered by the deal. Both sides will also give direct funds and equipment, with the U.S. possibly supplying aid like air defense systems. Importantly, the fund’s profits will be put back into mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure projects, and no money will be taken out for the first 10 years.

Getting to this agreement was not easy. At first, the Trump istration wanted a deal where Ukraine would pay back $500 billion in mineral profits to cover the cost of U.S. wartime . Zelenskyy strongly rejected this idea, refusing any agreement that would leave future generations of Ukrainians in debt.

The final deal is a compromise, meeting the U.S. need for access to important resources while protecting Ukraine’s financial independence. There were last-minute disagreements over how the fund would be run, how transparent it would be, and how money would be tracked, but these issues were eventually resolved.

After a tense argument at the White House, earlier talks almost fell apart, where Trump accused Zelenskyy of “gambling with World War Three.” A later meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy at Pope Francis’ funeral helped move things forward toward the final agreement.

This deal is extremely important for Ukraine. It ensures continued U.S. military and financial , which is crucial for both Ukraine’s defense against Russia and its recovery after the war. The investment and technology brought in by the fund could greatly strengthen Ukraine’s mineral industry.

Was there an assassination risk?]]>
<![CDATA[

On Mar. 2, King Charles welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy at his Sandringham Estate. The visit came hot on the heels of Zelenskyy’s extremely dramatic visit to the White House, which ended angrily and disastrously. Charles’s invitation was widely seen as a way to calm the waters, particularly as the British royals are considered to be exceptionally good at dealing with Trump himself.

But it seems there was more to this occasion than meets the eye. It has come to light that the Sandringham Estate was being closely monitored by mysterious drones during Zelenskyy’s visit, sparking what’s described as a “major security scare”.

On seeing drones and other mysterious lights in the sky, Britain’s security services flew into action. One was tracked down to a private individual in a car nearby, and another was traced to a photographer. However, many more remain uned for, leaving Charles’ security on high alert. After all, there’s an obvious reason why Russian agents would monitor Zelenskyy’s visit, with “suicide drones” a lethal weapon in modern-day war.

An insider speaking to The Sun said: “Days later the total all-year round drone ban was imposed. There have been mysterious and unexplained drone sightings at three US air bases in East Anglia where Russia has been suspected. Zelensky visiting Charles would be of huge interest to Russian spies.”

While a successful drone attack on King Charles and Zelenskyy feels audacious even by Russian standards, those protecting them would be fools to dismiss it out of hand. As such, a blanket ban on drone activity over Sandringham has been approved by the government, with UK Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander saying:

“The Secretary of State has decided that it is necessary in the public interest to restrict flying in the vicinity of Sandringham House, Norfolk, having regard to the security considerations associated with this location by reason of it being the residence of of the Royal Family.”

They’re right to be concerned, as the danger of drone-based assassination is very real. Off-the-shelf drones are easily modified to carry explosives and be remotely triggered, with a potential assassin able to be some distance away from the attack and then flee the scene unnoticed.

There are advancements in anti-drone tech to counter this kind of attack (like jammers, microwave weapons, and net guns), but relying on those when a remote-controlled explosive drone is zipping through the air at world leaders feels like flipping a coin.

At least for now, the complete ban on any low-level flight over Sandringham may resolve the issue, as security can assume that any drone sighted is evidence of a bad actor and take action accordingly. But really, it’s just a matter of time before we get an assassination attempt by drone.

For now, Zelensky continues his diplomatic high-wire act.]]>
<![CDATA[

When it comes to dictator man-crushes, nobody does it quite like Donald Trump.

In what can only be described as the least surprising plot twist, our commander-in-chief is once again batting his eyelashes at Vladimir Putin while Ukraine burns. But this time, President Zelensky isn’t just rolling his eyes. When Trump dismissed a Russian cluster bomb attack on Palm Sunday churchgoers as a mere “oopsie-daisy” from his BFF Putin, Zelensky essentially told him to take his “they made a mistake” nonsense and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. And honestly? It’s about damn time.

The Ukrainian leader accused Trump and Vice President JD Vance of downplaying Russia’s culpability and engaging in what he called “an altered reality” that ignores the clear black-and-white nature of the conflict. “There is an aggressor and there is a victim,” Zelensky said pointedly in a recent interview. “The Russians are the aggressor, and we are the victim.” For Zelensky, the issue is clear-cut, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Yet Trump and his istration seem intent on reframing the narrative, casting blame on everyone but Vladimir Putin.

Trump has long positioned himself as a self-proclaimed peacemaker, and in typical fashion, he wasted no time blaming his political rivals for the ongoing war. In a social media post earlier this week, Trump claimed that the war “never would have started” if he were still in office, pinning the blame squarely on President Joe Biden and, oddly enough, Zelensky himself. “President Zelenskyy and Crooked Joe Biden did an absolutely horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin,” Trump wrote, offering no specifics and ignoring the fact that it was Putin — not the U.S. or Ukraine — who ordered the invasion.

But Trump’s most jarring statement came when he addressed a recent Russian cluster bomb strike on civilians attending a church service on Palm Sunday. Speaking to reporters, Trump called the attack “horrible” but quickly added, “I was told they made a mistake.” A mistake? This wasn’t an accidental misfire or a case of mistaken identity. This was a deliberate act of violence against unarmed civilians, and calling it an error diminishes not only the lives lost but the gravity of Russia’s ongoing war crimes.

While Trump’s defenders might argue that he’s trying to keep channels open for diplomacy, his comments risk normalizing Putin’s behavior. By framing atrocities as “mistakes,” Trump effectively lets Russia off the hook. So here we are, watching as the leader of the free world waves away war crimes like they’re parking tickets, while a former comedian turned wartime president tries to explain that being invaded isn’t actually a “both sides” issue. If there’s a more perfect encapsulation of our current moment in world politics, I haven’t seen it. And frankly, I don’t think my blood pressure could handle it if I did.

The U.K. knows what Trump does to people who dare to go against him.]]>
<![CDATA[

Donald Trump’s dislike for Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy doesn’t need an official stamp. It is disappointingly obvious that a world leader couldn’t remain diplomatic and keep his childish tantrums under lock while meeting a fellow world leader. Given the debacle at the White House, the pressing concern was King Charles’ playing host to Zelenskyy and how it would affect his and Trump’s budding friendship.

For now, somehow, the POTUS has kept a lid on what is surely a sandstorm of verbal diarrhea he has reserved for Charles for allowing the Ukrainian leader to visit the palace in the place, a visit that had been scheduled long before Trump dropped decorum and etiquette in favor of being crass and disrespectful in a highly public setting. But if a scathing report by the Daily Mail is to be believed, the relations between the U.K. and the U.S. have already assumed the stance of a second Cold War.

The outlet brings all this info from what it calls diplomatic sources in Washington who have shared that the focus of Trump’s tantrum is the pictures of Charles sporting a genuine smile and standing with Zelenskyy looking comfortable and at ease next to the king. These photographs have allegedly incensed the American president, who now finds that the unprecedented second invitation he received to visit Britain is significantly “less special.”

If true, who will break it to Prince William that his new buddy might not find him handsome anymore?

Apparently, all this has been really, really hard for the POTUS, so much that his allies reportedly even informed the British government of what Trump was feeling about Zelenskyy meeting Charles after their disastrous Oval Office meet in hopes that the Ukrainian leader’s arrival in Sandringham would be canceled to appease America. But as per the outlet, these allies were sadly informed that no such thing was possible and no one could “direct” the king to not welcome Zelenskyy.

Though the U.K. government has denied that Trump is mad at them, Daily Mail’s “well-placed” source has stressed that “things definitely went a bit cool in Washington after Sandringham.” When it comes to officially addressing the situation, a U.K. government spokesman maintained diplomacy.

“We do not recognize these reports. We have been unequivocal about the importance of the U.S. as an ally of the U.K. No two countries are as closely aligned as ours on economic, defense, security and intelligence interests, and we share deep historic and cultural ties. We will continue to work hand-in-hand and look forward to welcoming President Trump.”

Now, Daily Mail isn’t exactly the crown prince of authenticity and has been flagged numerous times for fabricating reports that could and have bordered on outrageous lies. Had this been a report about any other world leader, dismissing it would have been the first option. But we know Trump, his tendency to throw temper tantrums the second things don’t go his way, lavishing attention on those who do make him feel all important, and his penchant for rash, careless decisions. Even if this report cooked up these comments, it isn’t hard to believe the American president finding it within himself to maturely deal with Charles and his duty to host Zelenskyy.

Trump wants to get rid of Zelenskyy in any way he can.]]>
<![CDATA[

Donald Trump is doing everything in his power to get rid of Zelenskyy and bring the conflict between Ukraine and Russia to an end, but now that the wartime leader is not bowing to his outrageous demands, the istration is using back channels to prop up Zelenskyy’s rivals and sow dissent in the country’s domestic affairs.

Last week’s show at the White House sent a clear message to Europe: The continent can no longer rely on U.S. aid in the war against Russia. No one still knows what went down during the talks in Riyadh between the United States and Russia, but the second Trump istration has since doubled down on its rhetoric against Ukraine, with Trump calling Zelenskyy a “dictator,” humiliating him during his visit to sign a major mineral deal last week, and withholding vital military aid to the East European country. Yesterday even brought the rumor that the government was looking to expel the 240,000 Ukrainian war refugees currently displaced in the United States, which, if true, would irrevocably mark a new low for Trump and his strong-arm tactics.

Now, according to a report by Politico, several from Trump’s top advisors have been holding talks with Zelenskyy’s rivals Yulia Tymoshenko and Petro Poroshenko. The former is an ambitious stateswoman who served as the Prime Minister of Ukraine in 2005 and again from 2007 to 2010. Poroshenko is Zelenskyy’s predecessor, having occupied the role of president from 2014 to 2019. While he and Zelenskyy see eye to eye on many issues, including Russia — with Poroshenko famously appearing on TV holding a Kalashnikov rifle during the invasion — Trump’s aides have also approached him to discuss the possibility of holding a quick presidential election during a ceasefire, effectively taking away Zelenskyy’s job.

Both Poroshenko and Tymoshenko have publicly opposed holding elections while the country is at war. Trump wanting to get rid of Zelenskyy with a ceasefire could easily amount to a political coup, not to mention play into Putin’s hand, who has been wishing for years to get rid of Zelenskyy and his Cabinet.

With the publication of this story, Poroshenko and Tymoshenko both released statements defending their activities, with the former claiming he has repeatedly offered to mediate talks between Zelenskyy’s office: “We work publicly and transparently with American partners, aiming to preserve bipartisan of Ukraine. We have repeatedly spoken publicly about the lack of communication in the ruling team with the U.S. istration, which poses a risk to the state.”

After last week’s brawl — for lack of a better word — at the White House, many of Zelenskyy’s political opponents have been pressuring him to step down or restore the good relations with Trump. According to what Ruslan Bortnik, the head of the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, told Politico, “we are seeing some political factions starting to move” and that these are “trying to establish informational connections” with the GOP or Trump’s own team.

“They are also signaling publicly, too, although their words are very soft. But they’re displaying independent behavior to show Trump they’re ready to play his game,” he added.

If Zelenskyy doesn’t submit to Trump’s demands, the president is planning to look to people who will, though what that will entail for Ukraine and its political landscape in the coming weeks is anyone’s guess at this point.

<![CDATA[

Donald Trump gave his first speech to the American people this week, and as expected, he packed it to the brim with self-congratulations and petty remarks toward the Democrats. It’s nearly impossible to keep track of the mind-boggling number of lies and half-truths, but we’ve done our absolute best to track the bonkers words that came out of the president’s mouth.

The week is tainted by Trump and JD Vance’s Friday afternoon verbal beatdown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Begrudging Zelenskyy for his frustration with Vladimir Putin and his unwillingness to lay down for the Russian bully and grovel for peace, Trump displayed perhaps the worst side of him we’ve seen to date. But what can you expect when Zelenskyy would say anything nice about Trump’s BFF Putin?

The only thing stranger than Trump’s open crush on Putin is his relatively new and incredibly bizarre obsession with Elon Musk. The tech bro and the septuagenarian are definitely in their honeymoon phase, but if the istration gets its way, they’ll never nab that sweet marriage certif. Yes, the istration is eyeballing the end of gay marriage, but there’s no point protesting in Trump’s America.

The president proclaimed his complete disregard for American values by announcing his intent to cut federal funding for colleges that host “illegal protests,” whatever that means. His shenanigans aren’t making America look any better on the world stage, and combined with his terrible tariffs, we’re losing friends left and right. Daily reminder that we have three years and nine more months of this nightmare. At least we have a fun survey for you to take!

There’s far too much to say, and your attention span is far too short (it it) to detail every lie, embarrassing exaggeration, and straight-up mistake Donald Trump made in his excruciatingly long address to Congress this week. His wild speech hit all of the president’s favorite notes, from his attack on the transgender community to the border, tariffs, and Ukraine. He patted himself on the back over a few dozen imagined accomplishments, blasted his Democratic opponents, and overall reveled in the zealous iration of the frothing GOP.

It may truly be impossible to count all the lies that spouted from those nightmarishly puckered lips, particularly when some of them are so utterly bombastic. The president veered into true lunacy with his threat to acquire Greenland “one way or the other,” but it’s his claims about trans mice that really took the cake. Democratic figures, from Bernie Sanders to View co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, quickly ed the pushback against assertions made across the speech, and they didn’t mince words. While the former was busy delivering a meaningful message about parsing Trump’s carefully-crafted speech, the latter savaged Trump for the “ridiculous and not effective” leader he is. It’s hard to say which message was more needed after that dumpster fire of a speech.

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 6, Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted on X describing the aftermath of yet another Russian missile strike that hit an ordinary hotel, killing four people and injuring 30 others. One thing people — like Donald “I will end the war in 24 hours” Trump — who needn’t have warfare constantly on the brain seem to ignore is that Russia first invaded Ukraine in 2014, escalating tensions and hostilities to a full-scale war when the larger country invaded again eight years later.

Since 2014 — no, not “2015” Mr. President, even JD had to correct you on that — Russia has broken ceasefire agreements over two dozen times, and Ukrainians have been suffering unspeakable daily devastation and hardships. But still, how could President Zelenskyy have such “hatred” “for Putin”? Can’t he see that he’s making it “very tough for [Trump] to make a deal with that kind of hate?”

On Saturday, the POTUS and his overly eager side-kick, JD Vance — acting like your mother’s sleazy boyfriend who thinks he can scold you a mere month into the relationship — treated Zelenskyy like a metaphorical piñata for the world to see and recoil in disapproval as two clowns with sticks beat a dying horse. And not just any horse; for the sake of the analogy, think of Spirit the Stallion of the Cimarron, Joey from War Horse, or Ellie Williams’ Shimmer.

While putting up the pretense that he’s a man of “strength,” Trump showed both allies and Russia, whose state media was somehow present, that his istration’s vision aligns far more with Vladimir Putin’s Russia than with any other “free world” country. Even for individuals, like one The Telegraph editor, who fully the “global conservative counter-revolution,” and believe Trump is “saving America” with his policies “on women’s rights,” “dismantling the woke madness,” and “building a colour-blind meritocracy” — yes, the author is a white dude — they are all the same ramming face-first into the wall of cognitive dissonance that Trump’s “victim-blaming narrative on Ukraine” triggers in their pro-MAGA brains.

When Trump said he’d promote “unity” during his second presidency, this probably wasn’t what he meant.]]>
<![CDATA[

It’s hard to look at Saturday’s one-sided bullying spectacle in the Oval Office and pinpoint a single silver lining to the televised debacle. While Donald Trump endeavored to present himself as this divine-sent businessman and holder of all “the cards,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy, understandably exhausted by years’ worth of a Russia-instigated war, made it clear he has no interest in partaking in the POTUS’s card games when his people’s peace and stability is on the line.

To keen eyes (and critical brains), the tyrannical display seemed like little more than blatant pandering to Vladimir Putin –indeed, a Kremlin spokesperson recently remarked on how the consequential stance being taken by the Trump istration “largely coincides with [Russia’s] vision” – and it was heart-wrenching to watch, for both conscientious Americans and Ukraine’s international allies.

However, while trying to act like real tough guys for the world to see, the U.S. President and VP involuntarily succeeded in enveloping Zelenskyy in pathos. In other words, their unfair treatment of a man striving for years to keep his war-ravaged country from defeat against a mightier enemy only intensifies the comion and solidarity of Ukraine’s unwavering allies.

For someone who routinely continues to rely on fostering feelings of fear, anger, and hate to advance his agenda, Trump surely seems to underestimate how the political persuasive power of emotions can be used against him.

Different interpretations of the meaning of “strength” 6x296t

In the aftermath of the disastrous Saturday meeting, and the halting of U.S. aid to Ukraine on Monday evening, Ukraine’s allies – European leaders and Canada’s Justin Trudeau – have only been doubling down on their commitment to keep up their . Moreover, everyone is feeling an increased pressure to work in collaboration and mobilize to be less dependent on the U.S. – or Trump’s whims, rather.

No one – certainly not Zelenskyy – is downplaying the importance of America’s . This reaction only means that necessity does not override one’s dignity. If Trump believes most other nations can be bullied into groveling at his feet, he’s wrong. He’s also wrong about his definition of “strength,” which he makes out to be tantamount to tyranny and inspires distrust instead of respect.

Over the past few days, Zelenskyy has been posting regular updates regarding his talks with the various leaders and thanking each and every nation for their . His gratitude spree almost feels like a jab at JD Vance’s preposterous “Have you thanked us yet?”

There were at least 33 times prior to that unscrupulous public ambush wherein the Ukrainian President directly thanked the U.S. It’s unbelievably self-important and patronizing to act like one’s help, which supposedly comes from the bottom of a democracy-loving heart, warrants a constant reiteration of gratitude (and subservience).

A common “enemy” or “threat” has the potential to strengthen unity among countries and peoples who might have otherwise been busy arguing amongst themselves over trivialities. Unfortunately, Europe is now feeling squeezed between a ruthless autocrat on one side, and a Putin wannabe on the other. As such – and along with other countries like Canada – the only way we can keep our democracies and dignity intact is by ing forces and working towards a common goal.

However – speaking now briefly as a European – just because America under Trump has become a threat to world order, it does not mean all Americans have been thrown into the same categorical bag. Using stereotypes and schema to sweep a whole mass of people under the same umbrella is more of Trump’s tactic. Proactive unity may keep this boat that is our democratic institutions from sinking, and the same applies to the U.S.

No one cries louder than a bully. Trust me, I punched more than a few as a kid. Confirming my bias, Donald Trump can’t seem to stop his incessant stream of complaints about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after the disastrous meeting in the Oval Office on Feb. 28. The White House hosted the Ukrainian president to hash out a lucrative minerals exchange and continued military assistance in the fight against Russia, but talks were quickly derailed when Trump and Vice President JD Vance began lecturing Zelenskyy on his “ungrateful” attitude.

Blasting everything from Zelynskyy’s wardrobe to bizarrely claiming he was a “dictator,” the meeting devolved into a one-way shouting match. Zelenskyy departed while Trump and Vance were still red in the face over their manufactured outrage — leaving average Americans equally red with embarrassment.

The aggressive exchange prompted the White House to ask Zelenskyy to leave, something the Ukrainian president did without pushback. Now, days later, Trump wants Zelenskyy to come crawling back, and he’s insisting on a dramatic public apology. Until Zelenskyy bends the knee on live television, Trump promises to effectively hold American aid hostage while Ukrainian lives hang in the balance.

“He’s gotta say, ‘I want to make peace,’” Trump said to reporters after the meeting. “He doesn’t have to stand there and say about — Putin this, Putin that — all negative things.” Just for context, most leaders under siege have zero nice things to say about the invaders. Winston Churchill once said that Hitler was a “Monster of wickedness” and “a bloodthirsty guttersnipe.”

Perhaps worse were Trump’s final words, “His people are dying. He doesn’t have the cards — just so you understand that, OK">

“The terrible military machine which we and the rest of the civilized world so foolishly, so supinely, so insensately allowed the Nazi gangsters to build up year by year from almost nothing – this machine cannot stand idle, lest it rust or fall to pieces. It must be in continual motion, grinding up human lives and trampling down the homes and the rights of hundreds of millions.”

Just four years later we would come to find out just how right Churchill was.

Who could have guessed Marjorie's boyfriend would be just as insufferable as she is?]]>
<![CDATA[

Last week, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy was bullied on a global stage by two of the most powerful men in the world. Not only that, but he was mocked by reporter and boyfriend of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Brian Glenn, for not adhering to some imaginary dress code.

Honestly, the most shocking takeaway from this news is that Marjorie Taylor Greene has a boyfriend. Yuck. What do they even talk about? How much they love drinking the tears of children detained by ICE? It’s no surprise someone who is romantically involved with the far-right congresswoman would have an equally warped set of morals; imagine asking the leader of a war-torn country why he isn’t wearing a suit! (And if he had been wearing one, he’d have been accused of frivolously abusing U.S. aid). Glenn and Greene really are a match made in heaven.

Marjorie is “proud” of her boyfriend’s jab at Zelenskyy 4f4f33

The moment caused a wave of outrage around the country, but that didn’t bother Green who, of course, believes her boyfriend was in the right for pointing out Zelenskyy’s apparent “disrespect.” Last week, she made a tweet claiming to be “proud” of her boyfriend for mentioning it, but she made no mention of the blatant disrespect Trump and Vance showed the Ukrainian president. Apparently, the most pressing issue to her was Zelenskyy attire. Seriously.

Most people do not see eye to eye with Marj here 5k201n

Now, normally the replies underneath Greene’s tweets are full of yes men and women who all agree with whatever Greene says, but in this case, even the people who are usually there to pad her echo chamber were unusually silent. Instead, people called her out and expressed for Zelenskyy.

Others pointed out the blatant hypocrisy on display, as nobody said a word when Elon Musk showed up to the Oval Office dressed like someone hit the “randomize outfit” button on a Sims character.

Oh, and Elon also brought his child into the office, a child who outright told the president to shut his mouth. Why weren’t Marjorie and her boyfriend talking about disrespect then?

Marjorie’s opinion has caused some upset 2d483e

You’d be hard-pressed to find a tweet that agrees with Greene. Perhaps that’s because a majority of Americans Zelenskyy — according to a poll conducted by CBS News and YouGov, 52% are for Ukraine with a measly 4% backing Russia. Meanwhile, the other 44% voted for neither. It’s worth pointing out that this was before the Zelenskyy-Trump meeting last week.

Either way, Trump and his band of MAGAs have accused Zelenskyy of being a dictator and in doing so have played right into Putin’s hands, something which, I think we can all agree, is not what a majority of Americans want.

The attitude expressed by Glenn towards the Ukrainian leader shows that his morals and values are perfectly aligned with the presidents, and in turn, Greene’s, which is not a compliment. But just know, no matter what he says to impress Greene, he will always come second to Trump in her heart. But seriously, both of them expressed terrible moral comes and people are growing tired of their hypocritical preaching, (although we’ve been tired of it for years here at WGTC).

Gone are the times when we could chuckle at Donald Trump’s weird fascination with a particular part of Arnold Palmer’s anatomy. To be sure, Trump’s agenda — sketched in Project 2025 — was never a laughing matter. However, after the Oval Office debacle with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, America’s image as perceived by many of its longtime allies may have suffered irreparable damage.

On Monday, March 3, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart rightfully asserted that the disastrous meeting has caused a “global realignment.” Unfortunately, that’s not hyperbole. While some Trump voters are now having “buyers’ remorse,” others unfathomably still think in their hazardously uncritical, algorithm-brainwashed encephala that this was a victory for America and an internationally televised display worth celebrating.

It’s not worth giving the time of day to this TikToker’s misplaced sense of pride — netizens in the comments already did their part. The best way to respond to this Trump voter is to contrast her appalling joy at Zelenskyy being kicked out of the White House with the voices of those neither she, nor Trump or his ilk, spare a single half-baked thought about:

I’m not Ukrainian like Valya, so I won’t pretend to know the depth of the anguish that witnessing that gratuitious bullying session must’ve caused those directly affected by the Russian-instigated war. However, I am among the many who, as Valya acknowledged, feel that the only one who left the public ambush some call a “meeting” with his dignity intact was Zelenskyy.

Among the egregious attitudes Trump has taken since being inaugurated in January, it’s no stretch to argue that nothing has left a more bitter taste in the mouths of the U.S.’s allies — and in those of the majority of Americans, who have the sense to feel embarrassment after witnessing what some have dubbed “the most shameful meeting in American history.”

How to speedrun the loss of the “Leader of the Free World” title 596t4g

There’s one popular saying about the essence of trust that rings truer than ever in the aftermath of Donald Trump and JD Vance‘s deplorable behavior during their meeting with the Ukranian president: It takes time to build trust, but it may only take a second to throw it away — and in this case, decades-worth of mutual accord and respect-based alliances are laid to waste.

After the meeting, not only did European leaders — plus Canada’s Justin Trudeau — hear the POTUS signaling that the U.S. is no longer a reliable ally, and become even more encouraged to mobilize towards self-sufficiency as a coalition, but some companies (like the Norwegian energy firm Haltbakk Bunkers) have taken measures in protest.

While his blatant pandering to Vladimir Putin may have gained Trump kudos from the world’s oligarchs, a consequence his self-absorbed brain may not have grasped is that Ukraine’s allies and friends may now hold Zelenskyy, and the Ukrainian people, even closer and in higher regard.

Trump’s first istration feels like a children’s puppet show in comparison to what we are currently bearing witness to. The historically earned “Leader of the Free World” label is now shred to slivers by a tyrant disguised as a protectionist champion of a populist agenda, who proclaims to be serving his country’s financial interests while shunning the fact that alliances, dignity and democratic values are worth far more than whatever “rare minerals” he’s coveting.

Even conservatives are losing sense of what Donald Trump is trying to achieve right now, because between needlessly antagonizing two U.S. allies and emboldening an enemy to come for even bigger pieces, it’s becoming increasingly clear that maybe the 47th POTUS doesn’t have the best interests of the American people at heart.

The world wakes up every day to a state of stunned disbelief, ruminating over all the ridiculous things Trump does and Trump says, not least of which is a stubborn insistence to isolate the United States from all its allies and draw up even more walls than all the steel and concrete in the Trump wall could for. In just a month, Trump has managed to abandon Ukraine, humiliate its president, cozy up to Putin, put both Canada and the European Union on edge with his hateful rhetoric, and backtrack on years of progressive developments in the country.

Now, with Trump’s tariffs on Mexico (25%), Canada (25%), and China (20%), kicking in today and delivering a devastating blow to the economy, Trump is doubling down on his plan to leave Ukraine in the lurch. In fact, a White House official confirmed on Monday that the second Trump istration is indeed withholding all the military aid to Ukraine effective immediately.

“The president has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well,” they said. “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.”

Trump’s end goal here is to put more pressure on Zelenskyy to not only make him sign that minerals deal he walked out of after their explosive bout in the White House, but also accept Putin’s demands for peace, which will no doubt involve retaining much of the land Russia has already annexed in the ongoing war.

And as if that wasn’t catastrophic enough for the U.S.’s reputation, Reuters is now reporting that Trump wishes to ease the sanctions on Russia to further sweeten the peace deal for Putin. According to an unnamed official, the White House has directed the State and Treasury departments to come up with a list of sanctions that could help clear the air between the governments in D.C. and Moscow, which, according to what the latter said a while ago, had “below zero” relations under Biden.

Officials from the United States and Russia have been holding talks in Saudi Arabia and Turkey to discuss the situation in Ukraine, with Ukraine itself remaining notoriously absent. So, if this report about a sanction relief plan is also true, it’s safe to say that the U.S. and Russia will soon be best buddies, and who even cares what happens to Zelenskyy and his people then? If only they’d been a little more grateful to the overbearing megalomaniac currently occupying the seat of the post powerful politician on the planet, perhaps things would’ve worked out differently. At least that’s what JD Vance tells himself every night before going to sleep.

So, to summarize, Trump is turning the U.S.’s oldest and most reliable ally to a potential enemy who is planning to impose tariffs of their own on electricity and other products, he’s withholding crucial aid to the Ukrainian war effort, and now he’s entertaining giving Putin everything he wants on a silver platter. And the GOP wonders why the Left continues to insist that Trump is secretly a Russian asset.
