The third episode of Alan Ruck) – son of Logan Roy – was going to get married, but all eyes are on his father, with people wondering if he’s going arrive.

Unfortunately, the installment was seen as more of a bombshell episode, and that reason is the fate of Logan Roy. It was revealed that the CEO of RoyCo’s condition isn’t good, which has led to doctors attending to his needs. Did the father manage to survive to the credits, or was he killed off early in the show’s season finale?

Does Logan Roy die in ‘Succession?’

It is no secret that Logan Roy (played by Brian Cox) is ill. Most of the show’s premise was about the Roy children preparing for a future where their father is no longer with them. While Connor’s wedding had guests wondering if he was going to attend, it seemed like he didn’t make it. The siblings learned their father collapsed in the plane, and had doctors trying to resuscitate him.

This left the children to become very emotional, mostly because they were not with him during his final moments and had to do it over the phone. Unfortunately, Logan’s fate was confirmed by the end of the episode, when Shiv (played by Sarah Snook) read out a statement, stating that Logan Roy has ed away, and that decisions for the company’s leadership will be made.

HBO has released the mid-season trailer for Succession, which showcased where the company goes from here due to Logan’s death. The trailer reaffirmed his condition, and the Roy siblings will now have to trust each other as they now have to shepherd the company in the right direction.

Season four of Succession is said to be the last stand for the HBO series with no plans for a spin-off, and Logan Roy’s death was a huge surprise. This is because it happened early on in the season. And now, only seven episodes remain that will dictate the future of RoyCo and Roy’s children.

New episodes of Succession will be released every Sunday on HBO and HBO Max.
