The obvious conclusion to reach is that ‘Echo’ is making MCU history because it sucks

Rumors have been sweeping the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s batch of episodic exclusives recently, with scuttlebutt whispering that Echo has nonetheless been anointed with milestone status after finally being given a release date.

Shooting wrapped in August of last year, and ever since then fans have been patiently biding their time to discover when Alaqua Cox’s Hawkeye breakout Maya Lopez will finally debut as the star of her own spin-off. The answer was revealed as November 29, but with a caveat that’s immediately spawned a wave of negative reactions.

While Echo being bestowed with the honor or being the MCU’s first streaming series to drop all of its episodes at once should theoretically be deemed a cause for celebration, the opposite has proven true. Instead, it’s already been determined the episodic adventure will be awful, and Feige is clearly desperate to wash his hands of the entire thing as soon as possible.

Of course, there isn’t a shred of proof in the slightest to back up the accusations, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be proven right. Those with an affinity for the superhero genre always tend to focus on the negatives at the expense of the positives, and it’s hard to overlook the irony in the impatient MCU fandom lamenting the seven-day gap that’s defined the franchise’s small screen offerings thus far, only to instantly jump to the conclusion that the first one to buck the trend is doing so because it sucks.
